My youngest son just graduated from ABC after spending 3 years there, and we are so grateful for the amazing experience he and his older brother who graduated from ABC 2 years ago have had. From the nurturing teachers, nutritious meals, age-appropriate instruction to the thoughtful curriculum and meaningful progress evaluations (not tests but tracking of developmental outcomes), ABC has set up both of my sons for success not just academically but also socially. I toured many preschools before choosing ABCMM, but the moment I met the director, I knew this place was different. One unique and wonderful touch is the meals provided daily by a private chef -- thoughtfully prepared and delivered to the school. Having toured no less than 7 schools in the neighboring cities, we chose ABC Magic Moments, and we couldn't be more happy and proud of our decision. Reasons below: Every teacher knows every child (Maroof the director herself included!). This is rare. This is a mixed-age school, even though teachers are assigned to different class groups, every teacher knows every child by name, and we've asked any teachers randomly about our child, their responses are very consistent in terms of who our child plays with, what he likes at school, and where they believe our child could work on next, showing that they pay attention to every child at school. Not one slow walking teacher, not one phone, not a daycare. Every teacher is very energized, up-beat, and on a mission to attend to every child on the premise. They're constantly scanning the playgrounds (in door and out) to spot any struggles, any teachable moments, and every breakthroughs of each child. Encourage trying new things by switching work stations after couple days of consecutive seating, and challenging them for new milestones. Progress are documented in detail along with artifacts and photos showing how far our child has grown over time. The school is diligent in enforcing flu and fever control, and will send children home if they are indeed above 100F, but measurements are taken numerous times and each are documented, parents are only called if absolutely necessary. We appreciated that the school takes it very seriously, it's a peace of mind knowing standards are set and maintained high. Some initially might complain how they don't receive weekly pictures of their child at school, but I agree fully with Maroof, Director of ABC Magic Moments, that the teachers simply don't have the time, and I appreciate that they don't carry phones so they are always available to the children. It is the graduation time of the year, and it is a happy sad time for my daughter to say goodbye to her beloved school, which she has joined since she was two year old, the very first step out of home in the pandemic years. During her almost four years life in ABCMM, We watch her grows from a cautious, unsure baby into a happy, confident, and strong big kid. To join ABC MM (we joined preschool in Jackson campus and then TK in Carol campus) is the best decision that we have ever made for her. Luckily our son is also joining ABC MM now. It is so much fun here. The music, art, crafts, science, chemical reactions, operas, playgrounds... The spring butterfly and chicks, the summer Olympics, the fall pumpkin patch and Halloween, the Winter concert! My daughter enjoyed all the experiences at school. She also made a lot of friends here, many of which will last for a long, long-term. One thing I like for this mix-aged school is that when my daughter just joined at two years old, the bigger kids care about her and help her, and she learned from the big kids. Now that she is the big one, she also learned to be nice and help little friends. A great growth and development that we have seen from her. It is a real school instead of daycare, and all teachers here have educational credential. The teachers are passionate, patient, kind, and respectful to the kids. In addition, the reports of the Parents-Teacher meeting contains so much professional and organized info regarding all kinds of developments of the kids, including social skills, emotion developments, physical, motor, language, math, science, etc. The reports are organized from a high level but detail-orientated, and once you asked questions you will be impressed how well the teachers know the kids. We randomly asked questions of the daily life of my kid to any teacher and there were always patient answers, detailed descriptions, and useful suggestions. The teachers are very experienced with kids and they are my go-to place whenever I need help on guiding kids! At the end of the journey, we are very grateful to Ms Maroof the director, Ms Khuloud, Ms Jen, Ms Shameem, and her previous preschool teachers in Jackson Campus Ms Maria, Ms Amy, Ms Adeline, Ms Malisa, and all the teachers in the ABC MM. Amazing school! Both our kids attended here and the impact is impossible to describe in words. Ms Maroof runs a tight, disciplined ship. Focus is not only on academics, but equally on kindness and independence. Great nurturing teachers, no child is ever left crying. Drop offs are smooth and we could rest assured that the kids were in caring hands. Food provided is excellent and fresh fruit is served multiple times a day. We toured a couple of places for preschools to start our kid at age 2. Once you visit and see the environment, meet the teachers and the director, and understand their curriculum, you won't want another place for your child. Low teacher to student ratios, incredibly high standards for teaching, cleanliness, and food. My son has learned so much from science experiments to watching real chicks grow up to learning Christmas songs and performing for us. Our daughter just graduated :) from TK at ABC Magic Moments. She was there for the last 3 years and she had a phenomenal time there. She learned so much that we used to be surprised by all the things she was learning there. But more than anything she learned how to be kind. My older son 8 had attended both Carol and Jackson and both locations are consistent in both care, schedule, and program. My 8 year old was there during covid and we had no issues. We loved this place so much that we have recommended to our family and friends and both my sister and my cousin kids go to ABC. This place is absolutely the best, I cannot say enough. I am near tears writing this review because it is a long time coming and we have just ended a very meaningful journey with ABC Magic Moments. We have been part of the ABC family since January 2018 with my older daughter and then my younger son graduated last week. During college, I had a background in Developmental Psychology and interned for the early childhood education (ECE) center on campus. That experience gave me high standards for what I would someday search for in a preschool for my own children. First, we sent my daughter to a different local preschool and I always felt lukewarm about it. When my daughter started at ABC, we were able to tell the huge difference in quality, care, and service. At ABC, the staff and teachers work so hard for your child to not just be cared for, but to play, learn, and thrive. The amount of work they put into everything is amazing, including cleanliness and safety. Children at ABC are allowed to explore, to create tons of creative artwork, and really grow during their time. They also learn so much empathy, kindness, and about inclusivity. ABC is so much more than a place to send your child during the day, it is truly a home where they can feel safe and blossom under the care of loving individuals. This is the best preschool in Fremont by far. The teachers are qualified educators, not daycare providers, who understand child development. The Director, Maroof, is incredible. She will support your individual child, meet them where they are at, and collaborate with you all along the way. The providers here go above and beyond. I cant believe two years ago I was looking for preschools for my then 3 year old. Now he is turning 5 and ready to graduate to public school. My younger one is 3 and continues to attend ABCMM. I have picked ABC for one and only one reason free play. My mindset is that toddlers do not need structure, they should run around and play and get their hands dirty and spend as much time outside. The only school that accommodated my views was ABC MM. Not just free play the other advantages of being in the school : 1. Hot Lunches (that has a pretty good choice for vegetarians) 2. Yum snacks (with no sugar) 3. School that encourages books on birthdays over sugar treat 4. Interaction with all ages(2-5) - My kids learnt to empathize and be kind when they are exposed both younger ones and elder ones. 5. Kids learn about structure and discipline during circle time, eating, bed time. Kids get a feel of it and the teachers are always helpful. 6. Wide range of activities that encourage open ended play - blocks, pretend play(scarfs/other props) , they are introduced to sensory play (goop/clay/water activities), art (cutting/sticking/drawing) , music (dance/singing) , unlimited outdoor play (sand box/slides/little tyke bikes/balls/..) 7. Kids get to learn about nature : Metamorphosis (they observe a cocoon turning into a butterfly ) , chicks hatching, during spring months and learn about acorns , leaves, ... during fall. 8. Teachers encourage the kids to be potty trained( not required). But if are training kids at home their wouldn't be a break at school (as the teachers help too) 9. School maintains a high standard for cleanliness and sanitization, my kids rarely fell sick. 10. The school has special accretions to add another feather to their cap. The kids are covered in all directions with education, play , helping nurture their emotional quotient, and also kids are prepared for their transition into kindergarten school. The only disadvantage would be the waitlist. We need to sign up early as everyone wants the best for their kids and this school happens to be the top choice for parents in and around Fremont. I hope this review would help someone like me who had tough time shortlisting a school. I drop off my kids at 9.00 in the morning and pick them up at 4.30 in the evening without any worry as I know they are in safe hands. read more

I made the mistake of switching them to a religious pre-school due to my work hour, finances etc. 6 months into switching school I have realized I made a huge mistake and eventually transferred my children back to ABC. ABC provides a very well-rounded curriculum, teach children to be kind, encourage them to be creative and thrive. ABC Magic Moments is a magical place and a true gem in Fremont. I don't think it really needs my Yelp review, as it already enjoys a stellar reputation through word of mouth and has a long waiting list. However, as our younger daughter is graduating this year, I felt compelled to show my appreciation. ABC Magic Moments was one of the earliest preschools accredited by NAEYC and consistently passes unannounced inspections from the California Department of Social Services with excellent ratings. But there is so much more to it. We loved the school at first sight and continued to do so for the next nine years. Many parents have shared that they feel fortunate to have found such a preschool. For us, it's a 15 to 20-minute ride from home, but it's entirely worth it. We know parents who drive even longer and have stayed with the school for many years. My girls were always eager to go to school after a weekend or vacation and were always reluctant to leave each day. The school has an open-door policy, allowing parents to visit any time of day. You'll always see children deeply engaged, whether outdoors or indoors, and they aren't afraid to come up and chat with you, as you are just another interesting part of the world they are exploring. Both our daughters attended from ages 2 to 5, through preschool and kindergarten. They thrived, becoming happy, confident, well-mannered, and well-educated children, eager to learn and ready for elementary school. Most importantly, they remained true to themselves--the big personalities and quirks they showed when young aged well through the years. Their differences were respected, honored, and encouraged at this school. We also saw children of various races, religions, dress preferences, dietary and allergy needs, and some facing family adversities. All of them enjoyed their journey together, learning to appreciate the diversity of the world and to recognize the intrinsic value in people. My older daughter is now in 5th grade, and her teacher has praised her for choosing good friends. I attribute this largely to her preschool years, where she learned what good behavior looks like. Choosing a preschool is very personal. In my view, ABC Magic Moments provides a nurturing environment where children can learn efficiently at their age. Parents who value a well-rounded childhood experience, with social behavior encouraged and guided in mixed-age classes, may find ABC Magic Moments the perfect place for their children. Parents who prioritize advanced academic performance might prefer other preschools that separate classes by age or academic ability and restrict social interactions for easier discipline. If you're the former type or unsure which type you are, I'd encourage you to visit ABC Magic Moments and have an open conversation with the principal, Maroof, which might give you some food for thought. Maroof truly loves children. She is kind-hearted but also possesses a strong resolve to make her school the best place for children. She always prioritizes the children over financial considerations. She kept the school open through most of the COVID-19 pandemic with little profit and significant extra effort to keep the virus out--a requirement to avoid suspension of her license--all out of the belief that children deserve a healthy social life. Our kid has been going to ABC Magic Moments for 3 years now (preschool - TK) and we are extremely thankful for having found this school and grateful to all the teachers and ABC community for providing an enjoyable, enriching and fulfilling developmental experience. As first time parents, we were worried about starting school and wondering how our little one will take to it. Thanks to a strong endorsement from a friend whose kids had attended ABC earlier, we took the plunge. The things that stand out about ABC are - the emphasis on holistic development of a child - not just academics, but also social skills. emotional skills, cleanliness, learning and practicing good habits such as kindness, gratitude and empathy - the list goes on. Both the director Ms.Maroof and the teachers are very approachable and open to discuss any questions you might have, anything you might want feedback on and also offer formal feedback/teacher meetings a couple of times through the year. My kid absolutely loves the teachers and friends - talks about them fondly at home and formed great friendships during the time spent at ABC. Additionally, we love the parent meetings where we get to see a peek into all the activities kids do at school, their interactions with friends and development through the year. Last but not the least, there is also a strong emphasis on hygiene, cleanliness (washing hands, cleaning up after playing etc.) and healthy food - ensuring kids get a balanced and wholesome snack and meal everyday. With regards to learning, the school follows a curriculum aligned with California Preschool Learning Foundation (CPLF) and Common Core Curriculum and ensures that learning is hands on, fun with small group collaboration and experiential activities. When it was time to start thinking about the next phase of the educational jounrey, Ms.Maroof took the time to share more about how our kid was at school, learning style, what factors to consider when picking an elementary school etc. which was very helpful. My son went to this school after a recommendation from another pre school teacher. As with boys, ours was super active and ADHD meds were recommended by lazy educators - As soon as our son started at ABC he found an institution that understood how to direct high energy kids. It was the best decision I ever made. My son went on to excel in middle school and is now heading to high school - high energy as ever! My son finished his time at ABC Magic Moments after being there for 3 years and we can honestly say those 3 years are filled with so many happy and joyful memories because of many of the experiences of ABC Magic Moments. ABC Magic Moments is one of the best preschools in Fremont. The teachers are highly educated and the school is impeccable. There is always clear and consistent communication between staff and families so that parents always know what is happening with their child's development as well as what is happening at the school in terms of curriculum and such. They have a chef that cooks the children delicious and healthy food daily. My son often came home requesting things that school serves such as garbanzo beans and rice and his favorite, chicken noodle soup. I felt so lucky to be able to drive up and drop my son off every day knowing he was safe, well-cared for, and encouraged to be the best version of himself. COVID was exceptionally hard for most families and we are lucky to have been apart of the ABC family during that time as the school remained open only after a short closure and kept all children and staff safe due to strict protocols. ABC Magic Moments is more than a school. It definitely is a second home for children where they thrive and learn about inclusivity, kinder, and SO much more. We will miss ABC Magic Moments dearly, but are so thankful for all the wonderful memories made over the last few years. As a preschool teacher for FUSD myself, I am fully aware of the standards that need to be provided in early childhood education. It's the most important time of our children's lives and for my daughter I wanted nothing but the best (as we all want for our children). This place is it. My daughter started at ABC in the preschool when she was 2 years old, she is now in the TK program (5 years old) with Ms. Jen-what a true gem this teacher is. If there's one person you want to teach your child it's her and her wonderful team in the TK/K room. They are kind, loving, caring, and extremely smart women that run this school. My son will be attending the preschool this upcoming August and I'm fully confident and trust this school with my two most precious babies. The director is wonderful, personable, and honest which is something I find valuable in someone running a school in early childhood. My daughter is more than ready for Kindergarten and it's because the preschool and TK/K teachers at this school are excellent!! If you live in the Fremont area, you wouldn't find a better preschool than ABC Magic Moments. We've been an ABC family for the past 5 years. We are sad to leave earlier this year due to a move. You'll find that ABC has 1. Clean, well - lid classrooms 2. Nurturing and supportive teachers 3. Fresh, nutritional meal each day 4. Your child will be equipped with all the academics required for grade school, and more. ABC teach children to be kind, compassionate, and value each other's differences 5. Passionate director who prioritizes your child's well being: mentally, physically, academically. Someone who holds herself as well as her staff to the highest standard. We have a behaviorally challenging daughter, ABC worked very hard with us to help her grow in the right direction. Our son's language skill improved dramatically after being at ABC for just 7 months. He still talks about Maroof til this day. The only down side, with enrolling with ABC, is number of days the center closes. We were a dual working family with no grandparents live close by, so it was hard. While most other preschools have fewer holidays than ABC, I am not able to find a preschool with similar environment and passionate teachers as ABC. Those moments that both of my kids spent at ABC has left everlasting magic, that we would cherish for years to come. We were fortunate that our kids grew up here, learnt their lives most important early lessons. It's not about academics, but being a good human and we find ABC to be a place which can take you in that direction. It's a combination of Play, creativity, social-emotional development and academics learning through play. ABC lays ample emphasizes on reading habits too, that has translated into a deep love for reading in both of our kids. We were referred by friends to this preschool, and we are forever grateful because this preschool changed all of our lives! Not only is this a place for high quality age-appropriate education (they track milestones with notes and photos in each child's portfolio), they also provide education for parents, promote diversity, and have a fantastic outlook on children's emotional development. I love the facility (the outdoor play space is fabulous, and meticulously cleaned, as well as indoor). I love the teachers, and I love the beautiful friendships that have developed between my daughter and the other children, leading to amazing relationships among the parents too! My daughter attended from age 2-3.5, and only left because we moved away. She still mentions abc magic moments, Maroof, and her best friends from there on a daily basis. I especially appreciate how Maroof and staff have handled the pandemic. They took care of the teachers well, kept the preschool open and meticulously clean, had picnics outside for lunch when possible, kept parents off campus, kept parents VERY informed of updates, etc. A few other positives: they don't allow candy, they encourage parents to just give a simple sticker to their friends on birthdays instead of goody bags, encourage literacy in a very effective way, they don't make the kids do fundraising, don't charge extra for any supplemental science or other programs, etc. I could go on and on! read more

After 5+ years of being a patron at ABC Magic Moments, I am finally writing an updated review. Reasons why I am subtracting a star: 1) there was a period when there was high teacher turn-over; 2) summer break was 2.5 weeks in 2018, when it was 2 weeks previous years. To start, Maroof has a high-level of professionalism -- even when going through her own personal challenges, she does not let it show and will keep things running smoothly for the children. She is very dedicated, hard-working, and organized. She has to deal with hundreds of parents every day, all with different requests and questions. I could never do that on a daily basis! Maroof is knowledgable in children development and gives great suggestions as well. Maroof also has high standards and does not compromise on them, so she runs a tight ship. Because of that, it could affect staff morale and retention. Also, because of her high standards, she has her proven way of doing things, so does not seem open to suggestions from parents when it comes to the school's curriculum ... my guess is there's little collaboration with teachers as well. Communication between Maroof and teachers remained great while we were there, but you get a sense that there's a wall between her and the teachers, which I can understand why if you have ever managed a team. Like many other schools and companies, finding good people is a challenge. There was period when three teachers left, which caused my child to lose her head teacher. Maroof gives a one month probation for all new teachers and during this transition period, my child had a new teacher every month for at least 10 months (I lost count after 10). This was challenging and frustrating for us since we noticed a change in our child wanting to go to school. It however improved after they finally found a great teacher and she had some normalcy. It was also frustrating because we were under the impression that teachers at the school were well seasoned, but some of the teachers coming in during this transition period were straight out of school with little to no experience -- so we were glad they didn't end up being a permanent hire. The other teachers are wonderful during the transition and pitched keeping an eye on my child, which was reassuring. A heads up that there is an annual application fee of $200 which I never understood if you are a returning students...even universities do not have a recurring application fee for returning students. Please also keep in mind of the school closures (listed below). The holidays are transparently listed on the calendar on their website. They follow the FUSD calendar, even though they are not a public school ... although one difference is that Fremont public schools are NOT closed for parent-teacher conferences, while ABCMM is. I know teachers need their break as well, but it's an added difficulty if you have two working parents who do not have anyone nearby who can help. The 2-1/2 week break in the 2018 summer also made things particularly difficult for us -- not many offices/companies will let employees take off for 2.5 weeks in addition to all the other school holidays, so there's definitely some tag teaming to juggle the school closures while trying to meet demands from work. We have been with ABC Magic Moments for 9 years and we loved it. We visited a lot of daycares but none of them provided as good of an environment as ABC Magic Moments did. ABC is a kind, comfortable and creative place for children to learn important life and academic skills. What struck us the most about ABC was the well lit, clean and spacious building they occupied compared to other day care establishments which often amounted to converted church basements or house which. Being at ABC allowed my children to be exposed to a staff with different cultures and backgrounds which also contributed to my children's understanding of the world. read more

Worst customer service ever. Very rude especially the manager/owner. I called to get more information on this place. I ask for pricing, schedule, tour, sign up etc. The receptionist took down my information and said the manager will call back. Several hours later, the manager calls back and this is exactly what she said, "it's full" and hung up on me. So rude. No hello, how are you doing, what can i help you with. Just said it's full and hangs up. So let me ask you this. If you do not have new sign ups and we do not know how to sign up or no opportunity to sign up, how will you have new students? Horrible customer service. I guess they'll start treating you right once they need more students. Until then, you can expect a "we do not need you" phone call. read more

And they never ever give up on your child... they don't send them away if they are having a bad day or bad week... or if that child is in the mood to "test one's boundaries". From the moment you walk in you feel greeted with joy and happiness... there is lots of room to play and explore it is extremely well lit and i dare you to find one germ in the place it is that clean... (In fact my son's colds decreased 110%, we have not had a healthier winter than the one we have had at ABC magic moments) The outside play space is made especially with the children's safety and playfulness in mind... All of the Teachers are real Teachers! Fully accredited and you would be amazed at all your child will learn and happily learn at that... My son just went in for his pre kindergarten evaluation and the elementary school was amazed, he was above the standard for entering kindergarten... Maroof Mendez the Director/President is an outstanding woman. She was schooled in England earning her degree at Sheffield University as well as UC Davis... she is fully and then some accredited.. She has helped us, help our son through some tough times for our family with Grace and Understanding that is hard to find these days... I can not emphasize more on what a smart and caring woman she is. If you want your child ages 2 and up to be well prepared for elementary school, for life, to be an amazing asset to human kind... send your child here. You will not find ad's for this school because... they need none... they have a wait list from word of mouth alone... Send your child here!!! We love ABC Magic Moments! When I first started looking for a preschool for my oldest, I did A LOT of research...pretty much did walking tours of every facility in Fremont. I looked at in-home daycares and preschools; ABCMM far exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked into their facility, I knew that this was the place I wanted to send our little one. The facility is beautiful, clean and inviting. The director, Maroof, is wonderful. Very warm, dedicated and always there when you need to talk about your child's well-being on every level. The staff are also great. Kind and professional. Initially, when my child was only 2, academics was not high on my list of priorities. I simply wanted a safe and happy place for my child to go and spend time with caring adults and other children. Now that my child is heading into kindergarten, I'm amazed at the level of academics my child is achieving through their "learning through play" philosophy. The social skills have also improved remarkably...they even helped with potty training! I'm so happy that they tailor the experience to the age of the child. We didn't have to go anywhere else to get the pre-K education when our child got older (as we would've had to do had we gone with an in-home daycare). Perfect! I cannot say enough great things about ABCMM. There were other places we looked at where most of my personal requirements were met, but there were just those tiny things that were bothering me. Such an amazing preschool with wonderful, loving and caring teachers and director. My daughter went here for two years and she loved it so much. It was very hard to get her to leave during pick up times! As a former preschool teacher I was super picky about which school to send my daughter. I chose ABC Magic Moments for many reasons. One of which is because it was NAEYC accredited. Very few preschools are. When we toured the school, I noticed the learning spaces were well thought out and designed. Also the backyard was huge with different areas for the children to play. I also liked that the school focused on developing the whole child. The teachers were amazing and instantly made my daughter feel comfortable. The director is very knowledgeable and she is always open to chat privately about things I was concerned about regarding my daughter. My daughter thrived so much here and she talks about all her teachers and friends here all the time. I will definitely be sending my second child here. Couldn't recommend this place enough! We have been attending ABC Magic Moments since 2010. We are extremely pleased with the staff and Maroof Mendez. Maroof prioritizes the welfare of all children attending her school above and beyond anything else. She is also nurturing and compassionate by nature, so I have a hard time believing the other posts that malign her. In fact, I flat out reject them based on my day to day experience with the ABC staff day in and day out since 2010. The school is diverse, nurturing, balanced in play and academics, and the simple fact that it has a 2 year waiting list is the biggest indicator of how the school runs. Our son, Sidak Singh, is a SIkh American child who has a top-knot and the ABC staff fully supports his identity, celebrates it, and encourages Sidak to be proud as well. We could not ask for more as an American family that stands due to our distinct spiritual identity. We could not be happier, more satisfied, and have peace of mind that our child is safe, cared for, happy, joyful, and enjoying his early development education. We 100% endorse this school. read more
