Then, I came across Little Bright Minds. The reviews were great. I looked at the pictures. Read and re-read their goals and mission. So I made the call. I spoke with Oscar who was so professional. He scheduled me for a visit. When we arrived the first thing I noticed was their Covid protocols posted on the outside door. Hand Sanitizer. This was already a big PLUS. I was greeted by Oscar along with Alicia. This place is MAGICAL. You can smell how clean and sanitize everything is. So organized. Spacious. Alicia- she is truly AMAZING. The most Professional Childcare Provider I have ever came across. Her patience and kind soul is palpable. I was already sold and I had yet to see their curriculum. As I sat and listening to then explain their day to day activities; Alicia allowed my Son to play with the blocks, and cars. They where very thorough in explaining their policies. Their goals. Their expectations. They listened to my concerns and they were willing to accommodate my son. I was so ecstatic to learn that they finally had a space for us. LBM a has been a huge blessing in our lives. My son loves going to daycare. He is thriving and I see such a huge improvement In his social skills, speech, and overall behavior. Little Bright Minds Daycare is a hidden gem! After my wife spent three years at home raising our two boys, we were anxious about her returning to work and finding quality care, but the Little Bright Minds family made the transition incredibly smooth. My two year old has been at Little Bright Minds since she was 5 months old. I can honestly say there is no where else I'd want her to be. The care and love she receives is beyond anything I could have hoped for. They treat my daughter and myself like family. Through some major losses in our family this past year, knowing she was cared for and safe gave me extra comfort. They were flexible with pick up and offered to help in any way possible. They treat her like one of their own. I receive updates via text and during drop off and pick up. Oscar captures the most incredible shots and shares pictures with me frequently. Each child has a special birthday party with decorations, pizza, cake and presents. They cook together, chef hats and all. They sing. They dance. They read. They have circle time. They draw and color. Create. They play. They had their own Olympics with medals. And all in both English and Spanish. They celebrate small moments and big events. What a great daycare. All of our children have assisted there and our experience has been very positive.

We feel very lucky that Little Bright Minds is right down the street from us. From the moment we walked into their impeccably clean facility replete with creative play toys and spaces, we had a really good feeling about it. Sitting down with Alicia and Oscar confirmed our initial good feelings; it's clear that they care deeply about the children in their daycare and strive to help them develop and grow in the best way for each child. They combine a creative, montessori mindset with the Mother Goose curriculum and a personal touch on top of that to keep the kids happy, educated and entertained all day long. We were very nervous about putting a 12-week-old infant in daycare, but they put us very much at ease and have continued to do so; our son is now 9 months old and we envision him staying at LBM throughout his childhood. We really couldn't ask for better. Their communication is fantastic, they're always very responsive to texts or phone calls, and they send along adorable pictures when we miss our little guy during the day. They're responsive to our requests and also very understanding and knowledgeable when we ask for their advice. Our journey with Little Bright Minds started in 2010 when I was still pregnant. I visited numerous centers and home daycares, until I met with Alicia at Little Bright Minds. From the moment she welcomed us into her home, we knew this was the place for us. Alicia made us feel as we were part of the family, without fail. There is nothing more difficult than leaving your newborn in the hands of someone else but we knew that she was in safe, loving care. Alicia and her staff provide an environment which nurtures the kids' learning and development. They are in tune with their socio-emotional needs and focus on the whole child, tailoring the learning to the child's needs and abilities. Little Bright Minds offers a bilingual education and a set curriculum. In August of 2016, my daughter graduated from Alicia's and started kindergarten. She started K speaking two languages and knowing how to read, all thanks to Alicia. Without a doubt, Little Bright Minds helped shape the individual our child is today. I LOVED this daycare and so did my son. He went there until we moved. He learned many new words in Spanish and how to dance. He was always happy after a day there so I know they treated him like he was their own. I liked the privacy Alicia gives the children by not allowing strangers/new parents to come during their daycare hours. My husband and I researched several day care options when I was expecting. Little Bright Minds was far and away the very best care we felt we could find for our child. Alicia and Melissa met with us several times and answered all of our questions and concerns before we enrolled in the program. We could tell that this was more than just a business for them and that they truly cared about the well-being and development of all of the children in their program. From the very beginning, we knew that our son was in a wonderful environment for his emotional, cognitive and physical development. He is on track or ahead of all of his developmental milestones. He is always happy when we pick him up and we feel he has formed a good bond with Alicia, Melissa and Oscar - the family members who run the day care. The communication from the staff is excellent and they are very thorough in giving details about our child's day and even advice. This is invaluable with us being first-time parents. Now days is hard for parents to find a daycare that love children's as they were theirs, personal attention, respect and love, like them. We have been working with Little Bright Minds since June 2007. Our son who back then was 2 years old was very attached to a blanket and unsecured, Alicia and Melisa with their professionalism help us teach him how to feel secure without it and also develop strength, knowledge charisma and must important RESPECT. One of the main barriers to women being successful feminists and pursuing their careers is lack of great childcare (and husbands are working). So, when I finally, finally found a childcare facility that I felt 100% trust and comfort with, it totally enabled me to feel better about myself as a mother and a worker. I have had two of my children go to this daycare prior to elementary school and I LOVED IT! They totally potty trained them and helped my older son with some issues he was having with colors and animal names. The truth is, if you work full time, it is extremely difficult to potty train your child. The staff, Alicia and Melissa, put my little 2 year old on the toilet every 15 minutes for 3 months and totally trained him. They are amazing. The facility is extremely clean and all food is home-made and healthy. They have a great balance of academic and fun, and most importantly they are so kind and loving with my children, I feel like they are my family. My 2 year old daughter began attending Little Bright Minds a week ago. After visiting various daycare facilities, I must say that Alicia's Little Bright Minds was the warmest, cleanest and most complete daycare I've seen. What makes this daycare extra special is the warm and family-like environment feel that it gives. Most importantly, it is safe. My daughter comes home happy! As a bilingual teacher myself, I am in love with the fact that Alicia speaks Spanish to my daughter. One of the things that I really like is the open communication and professionalism that Alicia has. I love getting texts from Alicia with pictures of my daughter and she also sends a newsletter with useful info too! Finding a place to leave my girls was very hard! I was very worry and undecided. Until I met Alicia and saw little bright minds! I honestly felt very comfortable. I took my girls so they could see where they would possibly be staying while mommy is at school. I am happy that they felt good and explored every part of little bright minds. I cannot recommend this daycare enough. These two women have been absolutely wonderful to my son. They have taken a proactive, nurturing, engaged role in his education and care and it has been a godsend. There is one low rated review on this site for these ladies and I have to say, I'm aware of their situation and what happened. As someone who has a son attending at the same time of this incident, I have had nothing but positive experiences with Melissa and Alicia. They are very invested in my son's development and I do not believe for one second that they ignored a crying child, no matter how one parent wants to frame it. My son was sick one time with a high fever and I arrived to find Alicia holding him in her arms as she walked around the room (and he's a very tall 3 year old) in order to sooth him. They are very emotionally engaged and attuned to these children, so the accusation that they are simply cold-hearted and/or inattentive is thoroughly inaccurate. Sometimes people are looking for opportunities to be outraged, I don't know. All I know is that my son's developmental skill sets have skyrocketed since attending Little Bright Minds. His language and fine motor skills have increased significantly, particularly his language. They assessed him and spoke with my husband and me about working on various skills with him, so that we would be working as a team. I cannot say enough positive things about Little Bright Minds. They have treated my son like he was one of their own children and I would recommend them to absolutely anyone I know. read more

My kids have been going to Little Bright Minds (LBM) since 2009 and I cannot say enough good things about this place and the amazing people caring for my kids. Alicia and her team not only care for my (our) kids - they teach them, nourish them, and LOVE THEM. Tommy is now 10 years old and he stopped going to LBM when he started kindergarten. No preschool needed because Little Bright Minds prepared him for school and he is an amazing student NOW! My youngest is 7.5years old and has Fragile X syndrome. Alicia has supported Danny in ways that ONLY a family can. She is his advocate, teacher, and his family. There is nothing more difficult than finding the right place to help YOU care for YOUR children. You want them to be loved. They are at LBM. You want them to be safe. They are at LBM. As parents, one of the hardest decisions that many struggle with is child care. Leaving your kids in the care of others and figuring out who will look after them is a stressful and uncomfortable process to go through. Years ago when we first met with the Garza Family at Little Bright Minds, we were confident that we found the right people to care for our kids - and now, nearly 4 years after making that choice, we realize that it was one of the best parenting decisions that we've made. Within weeks of our children entering the LBM program, both of our kids were attached to the Garza Family in the best way possible. Seeing how excited they were to get to school and how happy they were each day that we picked them up meant so much as a parent, knowing that they loved every second being at their school, with their extended family and the special friends that they made along the way. Our son, who is almost 5 years old, has been developing into a fine, intelligent young man with an exceptional character since he started at LBM when he turned one. Our 2-year-old daughter, who was certainly a much more difficult baby than her brother was, wound up flourishing at Little Bright Minds. Within a short time at daycare, her behavior and overall demeanor was much more positive and happy. There is no doubt in our mind that the education, care, and attention that they received during their time at LBM is a major contributor to this. It is a family-centered environment where you never doubt that your child is being looked after as if they are the Garzas own children. Every child that enters and exits the home does so with a giant smile on their face. While the curriculum gets the children well prepared to begin school, the social skills that they learn at LBM also prepare them to be, simply put, good people. There is no doubt that as our children get older and their development continues, we will always give a tremendous amount of credit to Little Bright Minds for being a major contributor to the people that our kids will become. When you first meet with Alicia and Melissa they make their program out to be the best. They tell you how important your child's development is and how they focus on teaching and developing emotionally. They tell you everything you wanted to hear and more. They smile and laugh, the place is clean and you actually feel comfortable, you trust them. I trusted them with my children and I wish I wouldn't have. There had been signs that my children were not happy and I just let it go believing that it was an adjustment period. Six weeks in to the program and I pick my children with my husband and he notices a huge black and blue bump the size of a lemon on my sons forehead. I was in shock, Melissa says "oh my god I'm concerned I have no idea how this happened". My husband is furious and I'm still in total awe at how she's reacting. Trying to tell me how she was watching him the whole day- recounting every minute of the day. But yet has no idea how this happened. If you were watching him then how did you not see him do this? Further more he must have cried so, did you ignore him? The bruise was so big and noticeable that when I called my pediatrician they immediately asked me to bring him in. Luckily he is fine it's just a really bad bruise and the problem is that we don't know how it got there and the people who get paid to take care of him clearly were not. What's scary is that my son cried and I'm sure he pointed at his "boo boo" as he did as soon as we got in the car. So how could they not have seen it or realized that the reason he was crying was because of the black and blue bruise with scratches on it. How could they have missed that? How could I have been fooled to believe they took care of them? I am afraid to even think of other things they do there, if they are not watching or paying attention to my children who's to say they are yours? read more

My husband and I were going to visit this home day care and made an appointment with the daycare representative Melissa. She was very nice over the phone but said she couldn't give us a tour during business hours which seemed very strange from the beginning. How are we supposed to see the way you treat children in the daycare? We visited about 10 daycare centers and none of them had this kind of restrictions. When we were on our way to the daycare center after the appointment had been made we were running about 20 minutes late because of the traffic (it was almost 6:30 pm and that was the only time they could let us in) Melissa called me and said we had to reschedule because she had other parents coming in later that evening and that every appointment can't last longer than 30 minutes. To my question why can't we join the other parents at their appointment she murmured something I couldn't really understand. I really doubt all your positive reviews were coming from real parents, mostly likely they were made up by your owners. I wouldn't recommend this daycare to anybody. read more

My name is Lana Mavrelis and I want to add an update to my previous reviews. Last year, my son transitioned out of LBM into elementary school. Obviously, we were very sad to leave LBM after 5 wonderful years, but were also so pleasantly surprised to find that in all his pre-K evaluations and through the first two rounds of parent-teacher conferences, all the feedback, both academically and behavior-oriented around my son's progress has been astoundingly positive. The pre-K evaluation teacher, immediately following her chat with my son, asked, "where did he attend preschool? he's not only prepared for K, but in the short time I spoke to him, I find he's more than ready." So far, in all his beginning of year and mid year evaluations, he's scoring above average academically on the core concepts. There is no doubt in my mind LBM is the best daycare/preschool choice for young children and contributed to these positive results. If you're looking for a daycare option or preschool environment for your child, look no further; LBM IS IT!!! read more

My toddler has been going to this daycare since he was 6 months old. We are very happy with the care that he has received. I love that he is always very excited to go to them when we drop him off and sometimes the other kids are happy and excited to see him too. Melissa is very good with him and has shown real concern a couple of times when he had a cold or cough, I can tell that she cares a great deal. My daughter has been going to LBM for 1 year now. Before LBM, we had various family members help with babysitting. This became too complicated and so my husband and I decided to look for a daycare provider. Finding LBM has been a godsend. Alicia (owner) runs an excellent program and we couldn't be happier with the growth and development we've seen in our daughter. I like that Alicia focuses a lot in the emotional and character development of the child. My daughter went from being shy and reserved to being more confident and outspoken. She comes home with projects they worked on and when I pick her up in the afternoon she's always so happy and cheerful and tells me all about her day at LBM. Alicia and her staff are very communicative, responsive and open with everything that goes on. As a parent this is very important to me.
