She's was potty trained here. She was always LOVED to be her best self. Ms. MaryAnne and Mrs. Shanteka LOVE the kids so much. This is also an excellent learning facility. They also have super fun activities and mid and end of the year programs to showcase what the children have learned. In the days of Mr. Mike, he would bring in birds and other animals for the children to learn about. Mrs. Alana taught the kids structure and fundamental early learning things. My child learned to read and write in her room. I also appreciate the utilization of the nearby library. This is an excellent facility. I would argue one of the best kept secrets in Augusta. The week that they opened, my child was allowed to go one day before they denied her back due to misunderstandings on THEIR part. So this is three weeks in a row I was not able to go to work. So by the 3rd week I was not paid for calling out and then as a result of not working in office for 3 weeks in a row, I was fired. When I tried to come up with a solution(only pay for the one day my child was allowed in daycare) I was ignored. Fast forward a month and a half later every single week had been paid, yet they still refused to work with me on the one week that was denied service. When told I was ultimately fired due to the lack of daycare, they said they were sorry I was fired due to them but they were still firm on needing their FULL payment. If you want a family oriented place DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CHILD HERE! If they do not care about struggling parents that are only struggling because of them, They do not care for your kids.

I joined AIKEN SENIOR LIFE hoping to find a SOCIAL outlet 10 YEARS LIVING DOWN SOUTH WHEN I WALKED INTO AIKEN SENIOR LIFE, I THOUGHT I FOUND MY "NICHE" I LOVED IT THERE. my home situation is not good. This forced me to cancel most of the groups that I had signed up for and I only attended to groups consistently. my safety was at risk due to criminal neighbors. This lead to a misunderstanding with a group leader over a text message. Group leader, kathryn isaac refused to accept my apology. most recently attended a BUS TRIP with AIKEN SENIOR LIFE to AIKEN MUSEUMS. of the free museums I went to. I only had a problem in one museum I do not feel I was treated properly by the Director/ tour leader in this museum. two days after this trip on Friday afternoon after 4 PM, I received a call from Aimee Hanna Executive Director at Aiken Senior Life Services. prior to her calling, I didn't know who the Director was Ms. Hanna proceeded to yell at me about the museum incident. I was not allowed to speak. I tried to tell her that I have Asperger syndrome she would not allow me to get a word in edgewise. I was then told I AM PERMANENTLY BANNED FROM AIKEN SENIOR LIFE Ms. Hanna spoke of the incident at the museum; did not mention the misunderstanding regarding the text message she then LIED -- saying that "you have been a problem in every single group that you attended; have been disruptive, and I have received multiple complaints" THIS STATEMENT IS 1000% FALSE! I only attended two groups consistently throughout never had a problem in any of the groups, the group members and the group leaders excepted me fully. The only problem was the misunderstanding of the text message and I did apologize. However, she would not accept my apology and the problem at the museum. Combined this would not warrant being PERMANENTLY BEING BANNED FROM AIKEN SENIOR LIFE My limitations and differences as an adult with Asperger syndrome are no more severe or different than other seniors, who attend that have dementia or Alzheimer's disease Ms. Issac used my text message for purposes of which it was not intended. This led to the misunderstanding. She refused to accept my apology. All groups at AIKEN SENIOR LIFE are led by volunteers. Ms. Issac is one of the few professional volunteers. She is a retired RN. It would be detrimental to AIKEN SENIOR LIFE to lose a professional volunteer such as Ms. Issac, but I AM DISPENSABLE The decision by Ms. Hanna was prejudicial and discriminatory. I was never allowed to even try to explain anything. She was screaming at me throughout the call that she made to me. given that Ms. Hanna has absolutely no flexibility with an adult with Asperger syndrome that has limitations, it calls into question her flexibility and patience with seniors with Alzheimer's and other dementia's

I was very happy with the care. When my son turned 4 yrs he was in pre k school at the center. my husband was dropping my son around 730 am before school and I was picking up after care around 4pm. one day my son was telling me that they didn't feed him that he was hungry. Next day I asked the teacher the teacher said that my son came in to her classroom around 2 pm. I told her no that is not true my son was drop off at 7:30am. What happened was they forgot my son in the last room of the school down the hall. where the before school classroom was dropped off. My son was sleeping in the big pillow cushion behind the door when my son woke up no body was there. My son staying in the room waiting for someone come and get him. when I heard what really happened I should sue the day care because that was negligent. I didn't do it the school fired the teacher who was in charge of the before school care and they gave me a 2 weeks free of charge. Still until today regret not sue them. Still bothered me thinking how my son was feeling and when he said he was hungry they didn't feed him.

I can remember spending my youth in the gym, at the track, or just running around the area. This park is usually bustling with people and different activities. They added a pool in recent years so they are things going on there as well. There is also a senior center located here too. My grandmother would spend her days creating great ceramic artwork while she was here. I love that this place has something for the whole family to enjoy. The track is pretty large and normally filled with people getting in shape or trying to stay in shape. There is a basketball court here as well. I would spend my days sometimes watching others play and cheering them on!!! I haven't been here in years but I'm sure this place is still a great place for the whole family!!!!
