They lie to you about memberships and charge your card extra money without authorization from you. Definitely do not go here. There is a planet fitness 1 mile up the road and it is awesome.

You would think it wouldn't be a big deal, but red everything is a little off-putting, in my opinion. It's almost like this gym used to be an independent that got bought out by a Gold's, but didn't receive the memo that they got bought out and kept all of the old equipment and color themes. HUGE plus side, not to feed into the stereotype that Asians love saunas, but there is a SAUNA. That bumped this place up from a 2 to a 3 star. I have Anytime Fitness, Planet Fitness, and Gold's Gym memberships. Why? I don't know, I guess I am a health nut that is afraid of getting fat. I would only come here to use the sauna. The equipment is alright at best and could probably use maintenance and general sprucing up. When I walked in, there was about 6 or 7 staff members in the rotunda milling around, but none of them seemed like they wanted to do anything. To scan my card, three girls looked at each other for a hot minute before one of them kind of slumped her shoulders down and walked over to scan me in. I guess, she lost their imaginary game of nose goes.

Now to say I was a bit apprehensive on my way here would be an understatement. I have not been…read moreinside a Crossfit facility (aka, Box) or even did a solid workout (more than 30 minutes) in almost a year. Then I decided to take advantage of the 3 free visits* and get back on track. My hip hop blaring, my water bottle full, small towel folded and ready for sweat I rolled in on a Monday evening. As a point of reference for location, it is about 14 minutes from downtown Augusta if traffic is good. You will see that the front of the building belongs to a ministry, which leaves their additional parking open except on Wednesday nights. You won't be able to miss the sound of grunting, weights bouncing off the floor, and music getting your heart rate up. As I walked in, one of the trainers introduced himself and shared how the process would go (online paperwork, warm ups, workout). Another trainer aided me with the warm up, as I wasn't sure what all the terms were. They both did an excellent job of describing the terminology and not making me feel out of place for having to ask. To be honest, I was worn out by the time the workout began. The primary trainer for the session had me take it easy and we focused on the methods of each exercise more so than how many reps I could do. It was nice to have the experience of a work out without being flung into it unprepared. By the end of the session, everyone had introduced themselves and said they hoped I came back. Between the gasps of air and constant wiping of sweat, I told them I would. That night I slept like I haven't in a long time. This is a good place with good people who are encouraging and patient and inclusive with their workout sessions. If you have questions or fears about Crossfit, come here. They will make you feel at home. I look forward to my next visit. *Be sure to visit the website and see the instructions for the 3 free visits. You will need to arrive early (to fill out the online paperwork). Also, they try to have an extra trainer on hand to be there one-on-one through the workout for you. No agreements or credit card numbers, just an honest no-strings attached 3 free visits.

My daughter has been very well taken care of at north augusta sunshine house since she was 6 weeks…read moreold. She is 2 now and has loved her time in each classroom she has been in so far which includes the infant room (6 wk - 1 yr), toddler room (1-2 yr), and now explorers room (2-3 yr). Everyday I drop her off she is greeted with a big hug from a smiling caregiver. I was hesitant at first trusting people I barely know to care for my child all day, but I quickly learned to trust them and feel comfortable leaving her in their care because from early on as an infant i saw the big smile on my baby's face when she entered the room and hugged her teachers each morning. I know that even though she couldn't actually communicate to me in words her body language shows that she is happy to see them and therefore I know she is well taken care of. I truly believe the teachers and school director treat her with as much love they would provide to their own child. She often comes home with new milestones, skills, and words and I'm truly amazed at how much she learns during her time there. I will soon be happy to enroll my second daughter and am confident she will receive all the love and care that she needs while I'm working during the day. Many thanks to everyone at north augusta sunshine house for taking such good care of my daughter and soon her little sister as well!

Well. I agreed that anytime i had a concern we would take it to the director Kim. We did and things…read moredid not change. My husband and I were in a process with our two children. We understood the process required their current legal names to be on any paperwork but what we did not understand is why the staff continued to be rude and insensitive. This was just one of the issues. The staff continued to address my children not by the names we called them but by the names they came to us as. A staff member even ran up to me and had an audible discussion about why we chose to change our daughter's name because her current legal name was so pretty. IN FRONT OF MY SUPER SMART DAUGHTER. This same staff member also addressed my son by his current legal name and not what we called him after he refused to pay her any attention. I cannot tell you how livid i was in the short time we were there. I feel this center has no respect for the process some families go through even though the director stated that so many families come through that center with the same situation. Our second issue is the changing of teachers and them not communicating. My daughter is potty trained and has been for a while. She has a routine in which we stated to the teachers that she needs to be reminded to potty before any nap-time to avoid accidents. FOR A WEEK STRAIGHT my daughter was having accidents because the morning teacher was not being given the information to assist my daughter with consistency. NOT TO MENTION the teachers just took it upon themselves to place my daughter back into a pull up instead of doing what needed to be done to avoid any accidents. Needless to say, Kim is great but overall - this was a horrible experience for my husband and I. Not worth the switch from our other daycare.
