It is not only near the Storybook Trail, but by the playground. This Little Free Library looks to be well built. It has the Ohio Parks logo on it. A great addition to the park. Unfortunately, the library was completely void of books. Not a single one. We had a children's book in the car that my children agreed to put in it. Hopefully the next child was excited to find it. If you are planning on visiting, please remember to bring a book to donate. Let's get this resource fully stocked!

Of course, please be respectful of the neighbors as you do so. It's not hard to miss this library, a bright red box against the green trees of the home where it is placed. A single door secured with a twist catch and inside, two shelves quite full of a variety of books. Mostly young adult and childrens but a fiction or two were nice to see. Nothing in particular caught my eye today. I thought the little animals glued to the top were cute! This little free library is listed as the "Lopez Little Library" online. I love how the physical structure of the library compliments it's environment. Durning our vist, the library was well stocked with books. Books were for a range of ages. If you have a book to share, please do so. If you do not, its is still okay to take one. I have been informed that tjis library is know to also have the occasional snack or even seeds from Redden Gardens.

Each Little Free Library is cared for by and individual/group who's mission is to keep it in good working order, and make sure books are available. This particular library is brought to the community by a Girl Scouts Troop. The library is located in Oakbrook Park. This makes it easy for neighborhood children to have access when playing at the park. On my most recent visit, roughly 2/3 of the books were for kids/teens. Most of my other visits have had religious texts and romance novels. If you plan on visiting, bring a book or too to help keep the library stocked. Don't have a book to donate? That's okay. People from The Little Free Library want you to read. Even if you don't have a book to swap, it is more than okay to take one... or even two.
