Oh Dolmades Thou art lovelier than a summer's day. Your tart vine skins burst at the touch of my fork, you lay on the soft mounds of lemon potatoes as you ooze supple curves of spiced rice and mince. You truly are the belle of this ball (and are the cause behind the many lecherous glances from our neighbours.) ...Forgive my quite unashamed lustfulness but apparently I'm in excellent company, Brisbane LOVES Greek food. In fact we guzzle our way through 500 kg of Haloumi and 100,000 honey puffs at Paniyiri festival every year. And that's not including the amount of Mediterranean fair being enjoyed daily at the scores of Greek restaurants Brisbane offers. I first chanced upon this little Taverna on Browning St after the second week of its grand opening and after the first bite of their famous sensuously soft, melt-in-your-mouth lemon potatoes I was hooked. Looking back, I remember the many gleeful Little Greek reviews I bestowed upon my friends and now as a frequent customer I have learned to keep this gem a local secret. Be prepared to book a week ahead because someone (ain't me!) has spread the word, and if you attempt to get a table on a Friday night you will be met by several pitying glances from the staff. And understandably so, it's a great place to meet up, (or to people watch the more unusual inhabitants of Westend strolling past.) The space is inviting and modern and the prices are so reasonable it's caused more than one double take at the bill. This local legend is here to stay, so Bon Appétit! ..Or as the Greeks put it Kalí óreksi!

There are so many yummy things on the menu at Little Greek, the best way to eat there is to grab a couple of friends and dine tapas style. Their serving sizes aren't huge so don't be afraid to order quite a few dishes. I went with my brother and boyfriend and between us we had chicken yiros, chargrilled octopus, haloumi and salad, stuffed mushrooms, a seftelyes (traditional pork sausage) and two serves of pita bread. Whilst this was sufficient, we weren't stuffed, and for about $20 each, it was a decent meal. The only thing about little Greek is that it doesn't have great ambiance, particularly during the day, when the traffic really intrudes on the dining experience. By night I imagine it's more pleasant. Decor is minimal with plain plastic tables and chairs, making it a casual affair. Despite it's lack of ambiance, for tasty Greek food and value for money, Little Greek is definitely one of the better options in West End.

When we walked up to the greeter she asked, "what do you want." I looked around to see if she was talking to someone else. There was no one else. And then I thought maybe she confused me for someone she knew. That was not the case either. I said, "This is a restaurant, isn't it?" And then my husband tried to defuse the tension by making a joke about turtles eating jellyfish. It was all just awkward and weird, but she was just the greeter, and we sat and ordered drinks and a pre-dinner appetizer. The waiter was not a particularly happy person either, so after the app, we paid our bill and went to another restaurant for dinner. Every place can have a bad day, and when staff is fighting with each other they can take it out on everyone else, but OMG, the service we received here was awful. P.S. That appetizer was good.

Got the scallops as a starter and they are very small - it's mostly a giant empty plate with sauce decoration. The barramundi was okay but there is better barramundi for much less. The fries were very ordinary. The kale salad was the best thing but for how much we paid for this meal, it's not good that the salad was the highlight.

It's table service- wait staff are friendly, in uniform and efficient. You'll be seated menu in hand and them waiting for a drink order promptly. It's a seafood restaurant- so menu favours fish but plenty of other choices. Had the chicken parma for $18.50 and it was good. Put in order, short wait and our whole group got there food in few minutes. Efficient and fast. If there is one downside it is "one bill per table" - no split bills. If you're fast or prepared to sit outside the river views are excellent. Good for groups !!

Hell... let's try it out anyway. Its clean it is fine dining and the waiter service is next to none. Food comes out quickly too. My lamb and snapper were overcooked though and well.. garlic bread a seafood chowder, snapper and lamb set us back 90 over dollars. My issue is mainly that no one would pay full price for this in theory... one can argue menu prices which reflect the 2 for 1 should just be the standard orices because they are that much. I am not going to be in a hurry back. This place was ok but nothing really stood out for me for that price.

While seated, we repeatedly asked where our food was, as it took over 90 minutes to arrive, and our sides never came at all. The table next to us was also missing their sides. Despite us raising these concerns, the woman in charge never came to our table directly, instead, a waitress was sent back and forth relaying messages, which was incredibly frustrating and completely unprofessional. After we finally finished eating, staff did take away a few items from the bill, but for the long wait and the amount of food we never received, including crab, rice, and other items, it still wasn't worth what we were being charged. We tried to calmly work through the bill at the counter, pointing out what we hadn't received, but some items were still left on the bill. We went back and forth for at least five minutes just trying to get the final snow crab (which never came) removed from the bill. Instead of resolving the issue, the woman in charge told us she had been instructed over the phone by another manager to call the police, simply because we were trying to explain what was missing and make sure we were only charged for what we got. The situation was handled with zero professionalism and absolutely no attempt to de-escalate. And to make matters worse, we had brought THREE packets of birthday candles, and all of them were used on other people's cakes for other tables. While at the counter, I saw one of our candles in a cake in the back room, and when I asked about it, the staff member pulled it out of that cake and tried to hand it back to me. Completely unacceptable and unhygienic. What was supposed to be a fun birthday celebration turned into a frustrating, stressful, and embarrassing experience. Between the delays, missing food, poor communication, and the unnecessary involvement of the police over one missing item, this was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. I absolutely would not recommend this place to anyone. They need serious training in communication, customer service, and basic hygiene.

I am not a big eater by any means, however I ordered 2 half mudcrabs and 5 half bugs. My husband ordered 2 half lobsters and 5 half bugs. The mud crabs were so small I complained. The bugs, well 1 mouthful out of each bug. The mud crabs were that small, I asked the manager if they were in fact mud crabs? because they were the size of blue swimmers. He said yes they were mud crabs, and the were very small at the moment. I contacted Dept of Fisheries on Saturday and made a formal complaint.... the minimum size of a mud crab to be caught in Queensland is 15cm across the body, I told the Dept of Fisheries that these mud crabs were not even 10cm across. The Dept of Fisheries advised they would investigate. They called me back this morning and told me that the mud crabs and bugs were imported from Fiji, and they don't have a minimum size requirement. so they can get away with it. Dept of Fisheries told me we were served blue swimmers - not mud crabs...although some of the claws were mud crab claws The manager gave us a $70 discount, and we paid $101. I would not have even paid $100 for what we were served. I am not a big eater by any means, and we left the restaurant still hungry. MY SUGESTION ...... if you do decide to go there, ask if they serve Queensland mud crabs and bugs, or are they imported. So incredibly disappointed.... Yvonne Kirby

Located in the Central Station. Easy access by train or bus. Price: dinner $69-$79, breakfast $59, not sure about lunch. The price doesn't include drinks. This has been our most favourite. The price worth what you get! I've posted many pictures of the restaurants and some of the food. Check them out! Huge variety in starters, main food, SEAFOOD, and desserts. I cannot mention each of the food because it's too many. Hehe Service: the best! The waitress was very friendly with nice genuine smile. She kept our table always clean every time and kept on refilling water without us asking for more. She always serve things for me first and then my partner. That is the correct manner of serving meal/drinks in restaurants, which is ladies first. My partner booked a table for this dinner and requested a special seating because it's for our anniversary dinner. And when we arrived, we were placed in perfect spot in the corner, with great view, and feeling more private. It was the first great impression of the night. They did not forget our request. At the end of the night when we were enjoying our desserts, a waitress came with a complementary sweets plate from the chef, with candle and plate was written 'happy anniversary'. That was really nice. (Check out the picture). This kind of amazing service will the one make us to keep coming back to this place. I'll update this review or write another review if I try their breakfast buffet next time. Hopefully it's as good as the dinner :)
