The parents at this school are actively involved in the running of this facility so you know they care. There is just no question in my mind whether or not I've placed my child in the best environment in the area.

My youngest son has been attending Just Children since he was 18 months old. From day one, he was welcomed into a warm and nurturing environment. His lead teachers have been consistent. No turn overs like mentioned in other posts. To speak directly to the program, his day to day is a well-thought out mix of age appropriate activities, learning and free play. At 3 years old, he has already been taught his letters and numbers, and can read and write them, too! Throughout the day, I am provided text message video and photos, which makes me feel like I am still a part of what is going on! I love seeing his activities each day! There are a variety of enhancements my child receives at Just Children, which he didn't get at other centers. Touchscreen computers, Spanish lessons, and offerings for sports or dance classes! The staff at Just Children is well educated, friendly and warm. They care about my son - really, they do, and keep me updated on his progress. The other review I read mentioned something about a problem with communication at Just Children. As a parent of a child currently in the program, I couldn't disagree more. The director of the school has an OPEN office at the reception area. She greets the parents as they come in, and knows each child by name. The lead teachers in the room keep me informed about my child's day to day progress, and each evening I receive a communication from the teacher with notes, food, etc. They will even remind me of upcoming events, or if there was an issue my child had that day (this is never a surprise -- I'm always aware prior to the email). In my honest opinion, I wouldn't think to put my child in any other daycare center in the area. They say that actions speak louder than words...so I will also say that Just Children is so amazing that I have THREE neighbors who also send their children there. In fact, they are the ones who referred me to the center. Their children have all been attending since they were infants -- and most are now 4! Thank you, Just Children, for taking such amazing care of my child! You make a working mom feel so comfortable leaving their baby each day.

She had attended a great music program at the church and had similar high hopes for the school. The experience was fine for the first two classes. On the 3rd class the kids had a "substitute" teacher. The teacher had been told to give candy to all the kids and tell them it was from their normal teacher and that she missed them. The substitute used the candy as a reward for compliance instead. She made the kids sit with their heads down on the table and gave candy only to those that followed all the directions. Apparently, our daughter did not follow all the directions. When picked up she was upset and confused because she thought she was being bad (even though I don't think she really knew what was going on.) This is unacceptable for 3 year-olds just starting their school experience. Our daughter did not get candy and was very confused as to why not. She was still adapting to school and couldn't comprehend what the candy was for and why she didn't get any. Our daughter is normally very outgoing and isn't shy in the least. She's had no problem playing with friends, going to a music class and dancing by herself at dance class. After this incident she has had trouble sleeping. She was very clingy and upset when we tried to go to class the next day and we had to pull her from the school because of this incident. She regressed a bit in potty training having frequent accidents when she had been mostly accident free. We talked to both the teacher and the director of the school and they were apologetic that the situation was handled poorly as the teacher had not meant for the candy to be given selectively. Where they failed was maintaining that school policy be upheld and refusing to honor a refund of the tuition paid. Of $280 paid for the first and last month of school they will only refund $85. They used some crazy math and a notice policy to basically rip us off of the money we paid. I feel this is unacceptable since they created the problem as well as problems outside of school. I didn't receive service, the school created a problem (which they've admitted to and apologize for) and now they refuse to refund our tuition. I would steer clear of this school as there are other choices in Doylestown.

They're highly professional, attentive, and loving. We've seen our kids thrive in their care, develop excellent communication and socialization skills, and learn so many new things. Our children love going to CHNS every day. They've made so many new friends, learned a lot of new things, and had a lot of fun. As parents, it's wonderful to see our kids excited to go to school and happy when they come back home. If you have young children and are looking for a fantastic nursery school, we can't recommend Cherry Hill Nursery School enough. As someone who was only 18 months old when Covid locked everyone down for a year, we started our daughter in 2021 in the 3's class. CHNS handled all Covid safety protocols gracefully, and school became our 3 year old daughters favorite place, even masked and socially distant. Moving onto this year in the 4's class with a more normal, mask free experience, she flourished even more. The staff is so warm, loving, and nurturing and most have been teaching at CHNS for decades. These teachers are the reason CHNS is such a special place! They truly know how to teach children to foster independence, problem solving, and relationship building at such a young age. Our daughter has made lasting friendships that we know will continue for years to come! One of the best parts of CHNS is the co-op model, which allows the families to not only experience a day in the classroom with their child, but to also get to know their classmates and the other families. This was a great social outlet to meet other local families and especially great if you are new to the area or looking to make other friends with parents of kids the same age as your own. I wouldn't even consider this a daycare b:c it's a school and they started teaching my daughter from day 1. Our daughter is now 2.5 and she has learned her ABCs, colors numbers AND manners (to name a few). She is constantly being challenged to learn and grow into strong, independent child. When we found out we would be having another child, we automatically knew he would be following his sister there. We continue to be happy with our decision and there is nothing more fulfilling than seeing my children thrive in this environment. The children are like family to the teachers and staff. During our initial tour of the facility we were upfront with Director Lisa about our child's issues and she assured us they would be willing to work with us and our child. She was very patient with us in answering all of our questions and introduced us to the teacher who would likely be our child's teacher. They even invited us back a second time so that our child could check out the classroom (something no other facility we saw did). Only once our child was enrolled did we see what a night and day difference Just Children was from our previous day care facility. Our child began thriving almost immediately in her new classroom. Our child's teacher, Ms. Nicole, seemed to know just exactly how to approach our child. In a short period of time we saw a significant improvement in her letter and number recognition as well as writing ability. Her behavior in and out of the classroom improved as well. The activities, field trips and special guests that Ms. Nicole planned kept our child engaged and excited. Although we entered the school year late Just Children really did a great job letting our family feel like a welcome part of their community. Their communication system (Tadpoles) is fantastic and allowed us to stay informed of our child's daily activities and see what fun activities they were up to that day. We were so impressed with the staff and curriculum at Just Children we also moved our other child in as soon as space was available. Cannot recommend these guys enough.
