Our daughter graduated from Little Lambs in 2026, and we couldn't be happier with her experience. During the nearly two years she attended, she made wonderful friends, gained so much confidence, and learned to read and write. She's naturally very motivated, but the school did an incredible job nurturing her love of learning . When she first started, she spoke very little English and had rarely been away from home, so we were understandably nervous about the transition. Meriam and the staff were very supportive. Thanks to their care and dedication, she's now more than ready for kindergarten. One of the things we appreciated most was the sense of community. There are good preschools and then there are exceptional ones. Little Lambs is in the latter category and by a wide margin. Both my kids attended quite a few other well-known preschools. Only when we started at Little Lambs did we find out what excellence in early education means. Auntie Meriam pays intense attention to the progress of each kid in her class. The overall curriculum is designed to advance kids to beyond the kindergarten level. She ensures that regardless of where a child is at the beginning, that they end up at an advanced level before they leave the school. The pace of learning is astonishing to me. My 4 year old is reading 1st grade books. But the most surprising thing about the school is how much heart it's run with. The Little Lambs community is a close-knit community of the teachers and families where each milestone of the children and each holiday is celebrated with fervor. Little Lambs Montessori was the best thing that has happened for my daughter Zoe. When the pandemic happened, I took her out of preschool from Bright Horizon. I tried to teach her the basics to prep her for kindergarten. She's a great daughter, but didn't want to learn. After a year, still not knowing the alphabet or how to write, I found Little Lambs Montessoriand was lucky to get in. Auntie Meriam and Nana Mercy are the best thing that has happened for my daughter. They nurtured, loved, educated, and taught her so many things that I could have never ever done. From one year, she's gained so much confidence and improved in her listening, writing (left handed), reading and art skills. She even knows all her alphabets, numbers , countries, math, knows the pledge of allegiance, knows a lot of songs/dances, and more! She even now likes to clean and be very organized! I'm so impressed and wished I had signed her up earlier or had my son go here. The place is neat, clean, and very organized. They are very careful with the Covid situation and I appreciated that a lot. Communication from Little Lambs Montessori was always positive and great! They always took the time and shared a lot of things about Zoe which I never knew about. It made me happy to know what was going on and to know that she was enjoying her time at Little Lambs Montessori. Little Lambs is an exceptional program and an absolute value for the cost of the program. Principal Meriam presents an extremely well-structured program that slowly and steadily builds a child's English, mathematics, arts and social fundamentals. Compared to other programs, although there is playtime and a daily nap time, not a minute of the day (8:30-5:00) is wasted, where every chance for learning is taken. It is important to note that the learning environment at Little Lambs is not just highly disciplined, but also loving and supportive, from both Meriam and her staff Nana Mercy. From dropoff to pickup, lunchtime, nap time, and bathroom breaks, the children receive constant attention and positive guidance to help them build their sense of security and comfort that is critical for their learning. As a parent, be aware that the program is not daycare; it's an educational environment and your child's success requires more than just the 8 hours they spend in Little Lambs' care. Meriam considers parents her partners as well as her customers and she relies upon you to help continue the learning at home. Expect modest homework to be handed out for you to do with your child, from handwriting practice and little projects to weekly show and tell preparation. Your involvement is just as important as her daytime instruction. This is a long over due review. Since I have so much to say i didn't want to rush it. This school has 5 stars review for a reason. It's been hard to find a school or any type of business in US that is truly focused on kids, education and customers. Most business here are focused on money. Not at Little Lamb! I chose this school for my son because I read all reviews. My son was born at 25 weeks and before little lamb he had eating issues. We had to feed him 3 means a day in order for him to eat enough and that was one of our biggest concerns. However, instead of losing weight my son had been gaining weight. School taught him to eat by himself in a reasonable time frame and not wasting any food. We went through OT for years and no one could deliver this kind of results but Little Lamb did. Auntie Meriam even noticed when my son lost a little weight. The amount of love and care we got from Little lamb is beyond words. Now we talk about academic part. Auntie Meriam will tell you Little Lamb is an academic focused school. If you want your child to play only then this is not the right school. At beginning I wasn't sure because I want my kids to enjoy childhood, there are tons of time for school in their lives. This was not a concern after I seen how auntie taught kids. Kids still have tons of play time. Every holiday, birthday, Little lamb made it so special for all the kids. My son learned so much in one year compared to my daughter's preschool for 3.5 years. I wish I found Little Lamb earlier. We had a hard time when my son took nap in school because he wouldn't sleep at night. Then Auntie Meriam had him to do art work and other work. We had experience that teachers demand all kids to nap because they want to rest. For the tuition, Little Lamb used it so much on kids. Uniform, gifts for parents, artwork, class materials and lots of free lunches. Now my son is in kindergarten and his reading and math skills are better than first grade. The one year he spent at Little Lamb will have forever positive influence on him. Every day pick up auntie Meriam will chat with each partners how kid did for the day and what we need to help as parents at home. We truly feel like we are a big family there filled with love and happiness. Auntie Meriam is a true educator and there is Nana Mercy who help to take care of kids. Little lambs Montessori is an amazing preschool. Two of my kids went there because we love it so much. The staff provides caring and nurturing environment, allowing kids to thrive. Furthermore, they have high standards for academics and my kids learned the alphabet and basic math principles fairly quickly, making the transition to kindergarten for them that much easier. The owner/teacher of the preschool is very warm and always treated us all like family. It's a home based preschool and everything is clean and spacious. I can't say enough good things about Auntie Meriam and Nana Mercy. I feel like we got extremely lucky. We've gone through many preschools and TK with our two kids but none come close to Little Lambs. Most other places either have no idea or have no interest in sharing what our kids are doing everyday, what they ate, who they talked to, if they're sad, etc. Every week, if not everyday, Auntie Meriam tells me, SHOWS me, what my son learned, if he didn't like a certain food, what he shows interest in learning, how he had an argument with another kid, what he said / didn't say, and the list goes on. She spends time talking to me as if I'm the only parent there and I know she does this with every single parent. Prior to Little Lambs, my son had a hard time listening and staying engaged, but I can really see a difference even in just a few weeks. He comes home and puts his shoes away. He puts his jacket in the closet. He says sorry and thank you and really means it. He started Kinder just a few weeks ago and his teachers are blown away by what he knows. He can read at 4. Some younger kids at Little Lambs even started reading at 3! I contemplated staying at Little Lambs an extra year just because we had such an amazing experience, but ultimately we knew we had to move on. My son used to hate learning, but he now loves school and is super confident in the classroom and it's all thanks to Little Lambs. read more

I wish I could give this school a hundred stars. Simply the best preschool we have ever had the joy sending our child to. My husband and I have sent our children to multiple preschools. Our older son attend Yew Chung, then Living Wisdom before starting grade school. Both were great schools. Our younger son attended Children's Place in San Carlos before I became dissatisfied and found Little Lambs Montessori for our younger son. We hit the jackpot with Little Lambs and Auntie Meriam, Miss Ruby and Nana Merci. Out of all the preschools we gave experienced, nothing holds a candle to Little Lambs. The teachers here will do anything for your child. They are soooo observant, loving and dedicated. Nothing about your child gets past their eagle eyes. If your child is sick or unwell, they notice right away. Auntie Meriam also truly loves to teach the kids. She and the other teachers knows all the kids inside out and treats them like their own. My child is absolutely loved and well taken care of at Little Lambs. Also, I am amazed at how much my child has learned at this school. My child has a voracious appetite for learning and Little Lambs has helped him become a very early reader. He is reading chapter books and is proficient at 1st even 2nd grade Math. Auntie Meriam works tirelessly to help him learn as much as he wants to learn. I am always super impressed by the art projects and other worksheet materials he takes home. The planning and care that Aunti Meriam and her teachers put into the program is obvious. The school also organizes super cute and fun singing presentations for parents - during Halloween, Christmas, graduation, back to school, etc. These are spectacular events and extremely fun. The parents from the program are also fun and loving and it is so nice to have the Little Lambs community available for both the child and the parents. I can't recommend Little Lambs highly enough. Note that like any Montessori school, Little Lambs is more academic than a play based school. My son prefers an academic setting over the play based programs and he has absolutely thrived at Little Lambs. This is our second year with Little Lambs and I will be so sad when he graduates this summer to attend Kindergarten. However, we will stay in touch with Auntie Meriam and the other teachers. Our daughter spent three plus years at Little Lambs. It was the best decision we ever made. To begin with, they love the kids like their own and shower them with love, structure, accountability, and most importantly fun. The staff is very caring and teaches the kids respect and good manners. Merriam is so adroit at using the Montessori academic techniques. They put our daughter at a second grade level in terms of math and reading when she entered kindergarten. Little Lambs also teaches vital social skills. The kids learn to present in front of the class, participate in group performances, and remove any shyness they may enter with. Our daughters confidence and social skills grew immensely during her time with Merriam. I highly recommend this day care to anyone. I would give 20 stars if I can. Little Lambs is THE BEST thing that happened to our family in the past year, nothing can compete!!! We are a family recently moved to the area, looking for a daycare was extremely difficult. Little Lambs was the only daycare called me back and provided an evaluation for my son. We were amazed right away how much these 3-5 year old kids can do in their classroom. My son only stayed in little lambs for one year because when he joined he was 4. However, what a difference little lambs made on transforming my little one from a child refuse to learn to a curious scientist! The most wonderful part of the little lambs experience is that though Aunti Meriam has strict rules for the kids, the kids all LOVE her so much, if they see her during weekend, they would rush to her and give her BIG HUGss. If you would like your child to be soaked in an environment full of love , care and inspiration, this is the place! On top of that, your little one will be reading without you even notice, or addict to math out of nowhere. Little Lambs is a hidden gem of a preschool in Belmont. I enrolled my daughter in the middle of the Covid pandemic, which was a bit nerve-wracking at first, but I was reassured by the diligent Covid precautions taken at this preschool and have not been disappointed. Uniform, consistent mask wearing is required for all children and teachers. Air purifiers are used when windows cannot be open for ventilation (e.g. poor air quality due to wildfires). When the weather permits, the children also eat and do activities outdoors, with tents set up to keep them in the shade. The children are also trained to wash their hands extremely thoroughly throughout the day. Setting aside Covid precautions, I have also been really impressed with the level of love, care, and attention Meriam, the head teacher, devoted to the children. You can tell how much she truly cares for every child in the attention to detail she pays to everything on a daily basis. To give one small example, she noticed that my daughter had outgrown her shoes before I did. Children can always tell when someone really loves and cares for them, and the fact that all the kids adore Meriam speaks for itself. And trust me, it's not because she spoils them and lets them do whatever they want. Meriam is actually quite strict, and the preschool, being a Montessori, is more academically focused than your typical play-based preschool. It took a little getting used to for my child who had previously been in a play-based school, but she adapted and soon loved going to Little Lambs everyday. I was amazed to see how quickly my 4 year old learned to read and write under Meriam's guidance. She learned so much at Little Lambs over this past year, and I am confident that she is extremely well prepared for kindergarten. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Little Lambs and about Meriam. My son started out with Meriam when he was 17 months old (he's now almost 7) and my daughter when she was 12 weeks. I trust Meriam and Little Lambs completely, which is so important. Because of Little Lambs Montessori, my daughter could read, write and do everyday activities on her own at age 3. It is definitely due to the attention that is focused on these activities at school. In addition to the everyday activities, they organize fun and educational field trips, get togethers, a graduation, etc. My son has friends from his time at Little Lambs that he still plays with on weekends. It is definitely more of a family/community to us than a preschool. If you are looking for a preschool that fosters a love of learning, sense of independence and is in a loving, family environment, look no further. My daughter started at Little Lambs at two years old and has thrived so much she will stay there until Kindergarten. She started out very shy and was only used to a very small circle of friends and caregivers, but with the loving attention of the staff at Little Lambs, she has blossomed into an outgoing and very friendly little girl! Meriam is a strict disciplinarian, but very loving and encouraging. She gives each child responsibilities and encourages them to do things independently. My daughter started writing before she turned 3 and reading when she was 3! In addition to the academics, Meriam teaches them good manners and a lot about practical life, which has been a great backup to what we teach at home. My favorite parts of the program are show-and-tell, and the holidays when the kids practice and put on adorable performances for all the parents. It's a very strong academic environment, with a family/community vibe, which is what we were looking for. My younger daughter will also start there when she turns 2 too! read more

Little Lambs Montessori is not just an awesome school, its a my kids second home! Aunty Meriam is as dedicated as they get. Both my kids go there. My older son is reading at 4 and doing addition, not because she makes them but he is interested in learning and having fun. She inculcates good habits, like brushing teeth, taking naps (or doing quite time as my son is starting to resist naps). Her school is always clean and super organized. All her staff from Nana Merci to Ms. Ruby are amazing. They are kind and treat the kids like their own. They organize fun school trips like Pumpkin Patch field trip, Plays, Library visits, Hiller Aviation Museum etc which they kids really enjoy. They always organize a quarterly party, be it Halloween or Graduation Party where the kids sing and dance. It's like a mini family of ours. The school embraces the Montessori method of learning infused with arts, crafts, yoga, dancing, math etc. You cant go wrong with this school - visit and you will see the kids thriving, learning and having fun! read more

We are very lucky to have found Auntie Meriam. Ms. Ruby and Nana Merci. Our daughter just started and is changing so quickly before our eyes. She runs to school in the morning when we get out of the car and wants to start her learning right away. They are careful, caring, attentive and very organized.
