I could not be in more love with my maternity and newborn photos!!! Kayla is an amazingly talented photographer who truly has a passion for her work and making your experience truly magical. I appreciated the ease of communication and the amount of preparation that goes into each session. The maternity session was an afternoon filled with pampering (hair and makeup) and then a few hours for the photo shoot. She makes you feel totally at ease and comfortable (which isn't always easy when you're pregnant LOL) and is meticulous in her attention to detail. She even let me bring my 18yo pup to the shoot since we wanted him in a picture in case he didn't make it to the birth of our first child. The pictures were TRULY magical and I received soooooo many compliments on how professional and beautiful they were! It is important to note that professional photos do not come cheap, so be prepared to spend money on your photos and be realistic in what you want to spend. She is very flexible but it is also her job and craft which I respect. After the birth of my my child, due to some medical complications, I reached out to Kayla to reschedule my newborn/family photos. She was very flexible and understanding and we were able to reschedule to the following week. The love, care, and pride she takes in getting the newborn and family shots was beautiful to watch. It definitely is an art and science that she has down 100%. When we previewed our shots at the end of the session, I couldn't help but tear up and cry because they were absolutely beautiful. (Yes, my dog made it to this session too so our family photo was complete). She even took the extra time at the end to offer words of support, validation, reassurance, and kindness regarding my labor and delivery experience and the medical complications I was still facing. What a dream it has been to work with Kayla! It has been an amazing experience like no other and completely worth the investment! For the maternity shoot, I was pampered with hair and makeup then went to Kayla's and was immediately put at ease because she was so professional, creative, experienced, and took care of everything! The photos were great. Refreshments and snacks should've been provided for the price that you're paying. The photo books were poor quality. Make sure that each photo has an individual page. For the price that you're paying, you should not have creases in any of your photos so please make sure that each photo has an individual page . I wish I would've known that the photos wouldn't have individual pages. It was very very disappointing. She messed up my maternity photo book and made me pay shipping to send it back. She refused to provide me a shipping label when it was her error. Overall, the photos was great, and she did tell you how to pose correctly, but the price is outrageous. I knew Kayla was the right photographer for our family when we first spoke. She is very personable, down to earth, and kind. She listened to my ideas, our family history, and the long journey we'd been on to build our family. I explained our baby would be born early like all those previous and she was of course very accommodating and let me know to just keep her posted . She clearly explained her style and has a beautiful portfolio. She was very upfront about her pricing and how the photos would be an investment. I cant appreciate this enough as we weren't blindsided. She encourages you to ask questions. I had some beautiful conversations with them as well which made for a great experience. Prior to our newborn and family shoot , she asked about the kiddos and how they take pictures. I had three other little ones in addition to my newborn. Two of my sons are non verbal and on spectrum so we had to certainly discuss realistic expectations for them. She said she would do her best. Knowing my kiddos, I expected a candid would be the most we get from them but Kayla was able to deliver several photos of them that was beyond our expectations and flawless. The amount of patience she showed learning their mannerism and quickly adapting to bring out their best was admirable. Once completed, I loved the way she guided you to narrowing down your shots you like and then reexplaining the packaging and pricing if needed. I didn't feel bullied into purchasing what I didn't want and I had so many options to choose from. Her turn around time for us was quick especially since we were not in the busiest season. As my husband and I look at our photos we are still in awe at their beauty . I am so thrilled I have these gorgeous photos I always saw other mamas and babies have. I want to start off by saying Kayla is very friendly and welcoming, she is really great with babies. I was really excited when i finally found little lashes photgraphy i seen an ad on facebook and seen beautiful work on all platforms (instagram, facebook, and website). I decided to book with her for both maternity and newborn shoot. My maternity photos came out so gorgeous (she showed up and showed out) lol i was really happy with them, however there were minor flaws in my maternity photos i noticed afterwards, i feel the editing couldve payed more attention to details (belly button is different in two pictures and the floor paper is rising on the wall in the background). The Newborn session she was very caring and attentive to my baby but looking back i wish she would've used different colors for the shoot, she did ask if i had any preferences for the colors and i told her i was open to any colors except for blue (i figuered since my maternity photos came out so good id leave it up to her creative abilities to do what looked good) there were mutiple photos where baby was shot in blue. I couldve spoke up about it but didnt realise it till we were reviewing the photos and i didnt want to go through the hassle of reshooting. That couldve been avoided with a more thorough consultation. There were a few delays with receiving the photos due to mutiple unfortunate events on her end. If you want to spend a good penny on quality photos and dont mind waiting for them to come id say go for it! It's probably one of the worst experiences I've had "business" wise. It felt like an extortion and/or a coercion when it was time to pay for our photos. The photographer had a very passive-aggressive attitude towards the payment I made ($495) JUST for her time to take the photos. She didn't care whether we paid for the "wedding priced" photos or not because she already got paid for her time plus our baby's photos to do whatever she wanted with them. We ended up paying $1800 for 11 pictures (3 of the 11 needed editing) with a photo album opposed to 38 pictures with a photo album for $4200 (negotiated to $3800). Just be sure to ask what her package prices are, and don't get sucked in by her "professionalism" because she does NOT go by the consumers' fair market value for newborn photo sessions. read more

Omg! How have I not posted a review already!? Kayla is AMAZING at what she does. First we did my maternity photos. I was not entirely used to my body at this time and didn't know what to expect. I walked in and immediately felt comfortable. My husband had been encouraging me to see the beauty in my body and I definitely felt it during my shoot. Afterwards we went back to the studio where I experienced some tummy things. (Pregnant life!) Kayla was so calm while I used her bathroom, ate one of her granola bars and got myself back together. I share this because she put my needs first and not her photography timeline. That meant a lot. Going through the photos was an amazing experience as well and when we received them I was able to feel positive about the entire experience. Second we did our baby girls newborn photos. I felt like I had a babysitter this entire time. Kayla worked with our baby girl during diaper changes, feedings, moods etc. she was AMAZING! The amount of respect and admiration I have for Kayla is huge! I got the opportunity to have my maternity and newborn shots with her. I got super lucky and she was able to squeeze me in for both shoots. I was on the fence about getting photos done for maternity since I had felt overwhelmed about having to find something to wear and how I was going to do my hair and make up. We had such a pleasant experience with Kayla even if our 2-week old baby wasn't quite so pleasant. She was accommodating all throughout our communication. She answered all questions and ensured we were happy with our plan/package. On the day of our shoot, our poor baby was just not having it. I've never been a sentimental person or one to pay for professional photos...until my son was born. I've seen my niece's newborn photos and thought they were cute and adorable, but never even fathomed purchasing them for my son while I was pregnant. Where do we even start! First and foremost this review is long overdue. We looked over 50 plus photographers from all over Southern California and then some. Kayla's work by far stood out the most. Our first session was a newborn session. It couldn't of gone any more perfect. Noelle was comfortable and slept pretty much the WHOLE time. Kayla was beyond gentle and cautious when handling our newborn. I trusted her with our baby more than I even trusted our parents handling her! Kayla went beyond above and beyond. I don't think I have ever experience such personal, genuine just perfect customer service. She works with you to get you the things you want for the budget you have. DO NOT think you will make out cheap as her work is OUTSTANDING and worth the investment. We got ALL of the poses I had asked for which I did NOT expect. All the color schemes I wanted she did, and then some. I couldn't b more happy with how everything turned out. She even took extra time since our baby was doing so well. We ended up spending about 8 hours there almost because she was such good company. I can honestly say we have made a good friend though this experience. We got so many compliments and as were we EXCITED to show off Kayla's amazing work, we came back for 9 month family photos and of corse, another perfect experience. This time we did photos outside and brought our dog along for the family photos too. We also got wall art this time ( main reason I wanted more photos). My review is a little bit overdue. We took our son in at about two weeks old to take his newborn photos. Kayla was very responsive to text messages and replied promptly. I reached out to her a week before my due date and she was very accommodating to schedule my son in the two week period for his fresh newborn photos. It was a bit pricey for the amount of photographs you get but the photos came out wonderful and definitely worth every penny. I purchased a maternity & newborn photoshoot and was more than happy with the outcome of both. First of all I desired mostly nude shots for the maternity and from the get-go I felt completely comfortable and the results were stunning. The results and experience taking the pictures went above and beyond any expectations I had. Secondly the newborn photo shoot was extremely difficult since my baby was fussy, hard to soothe and very particular. However the photos she captured were absolutely beautiful and completely serene. That's how you know a photographer is good at their job! You would have had no idea that the behind the scenes was dealing with a very difficult baby.
