Während wir im Gastraum saßen, sind Mäuse sichtbar zwischen den Tischen hin- und hergelaufen. Auf Nachfrage beim Kellner hieß es, das Problem sei bereits seit mindestens zwei Tagen bekannt und der Chef kümmere sich darum. Eine wirkliche Entschuldigung oder ein professioneller Umgang mit der Situation erfolgte jedoch nicht. Das hat bei uns ein sehr ungutes Gefühl hinterlassen. Auch kulinarisch konnte der Besuch leider nicht überzeugen. Ich hatte US Prime Beef bestellt, es war das qualitativ schlechteste Steak dieser Art, das ich bisher gegessen habe: faserig, geschmacklich sehr schwach und insgesamt enttäuschend. Zudem wurde unsere Beilage (Knoblauchbaguette) vergessen. Positiv hervorheben möchte ich, dass der Kellner freundlich und bemüht war. Dennoch war die Gesamt-Experience deutlich unter den Erwartungen. In the U.S., it usually comes from a soda gun that might, or might not be clean, and is always flat. My burger was cooked medium, with a bit of pink, just the way I like it. The fries were soft in the middle with a slight crunch to them, with flaky salt. My wife's salad had a bit too much dressing for her tastes but I thought it was good. We have started sharing meals this way, as our appetites are smaller now that we are getting a bit older.

It is located on a quiet street and is an open plan restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are extremely attentive and welcoming and, for service they get 5 stars. They explained everything to the guests and got us on our way with drinks quickly. The concepts here is, you get mixed starters and you choose your cut of steak (no veggies here). I just went for the biggest one, the flank steak lol. I believe this is also the normal way in which the restaurant operates. Our starter was beef carpaccio, smoked fish and goats cheese with bread. It was very good. My steak was excellent and tender and, I cooked it rare. Tender and delicious, I wanted another one ;-)) the primitivo wine I had was also superb. I would happily come back here again. I can't tell you value for money, as we did not have to pay ;-)) good steak, nice ambience and excellent service. So happy I found this place…read more Located a hop, skip and a jump from Rosenheimer Platz, this place was my savior after a day at the Wiesn. Having had my fill of beer, I just wanted a glass of seltzer (or mineral water or whatever you choose to call it). Now, don't get me wrong, I love Germany but everywhere they seem to serve water in tiny glasses. I wanted a giant glass of water...and the awesome bartender set me up with a half liter glass full of sparkling water. So I had my water, which helped a lot and now I needed food. Luckily, even in my state I was able to read the menu and see they had a cheeseburger and fries platter. I know, not Bavarian but at that point, all I'd had all day since breakfast was one of these ginormous pretzels and the skin off of some roast chicken. The food was tasty (as far as I can recall) and it really helped getting some food on my tummy. Aside from the water and food, what made this place great was the service. The bartender, whose name I regret that I didn't get, was amazing. She was so nice and friendly and really took care of me. I'm sure I looked like another tipsy American tourist but she was a sweetheart. She had short hair and glasses and maybe some tattoos. Anyway, she's the real deal. There was some music that was nice too. Overall, a nice, friendly, clean and welcoming place. To be frank, it can be intimidating to enter a big German beer hall by yourself because it seems everyone knows one another and you're an outsider.
