They truly care about their ducklings and go above and beyond to offer one-on-one attention to each child. Our son has speech delays and Ms. Hicks has played a crucial role in working with him and helping us find additional services. Her background is in education so the daycare is set up more like a Montessori school which we really appreciate. (We looked at similar daycares and they cost double!) At Little Ducklings they do a lot of fun activities while also working on developmental skills. They are very good about updating us on what they are learning. They will send us videos of the curriculum (songs, etc) and pics of our son which helps us work on skills with him at home. Little Ducklings is a such a great school and we feel lucky to be part of it.

My 1st grade son attends there and they help him with his online schooling, homework, and whatever else he needs. As well as fun activities for breaks. I work full time and is unable to help with school during COVID. Calling All Scouts has been a God sent for me. My daughters preschool is now closing and she is about to attend CAS with her brother. I'm so thankful Devin and her staff are willing to still work on preschool curriculum, and nap time schedules with her. To keep her mind learning and not to skip a beat. I always feel welcomed at her house and can stop by anytime if I need to check on my kids. Which is a big thing for me. If I'm not welcomed to come see my children and there is weird tension when I do we will have words, but this is not the case at CAS! I trust Devin and her staff 150%. I don't have to worry about neglect, abuse in any form, or misconduct with any children. Well I could go on but I won't. CAS is amazing and you'd be very lucky to have a spot here.

Everything is so well curated to provide an environment that children will absolutely thrive in. It has a natural and Montessori vibe that provides a safe space that they can independently explore and learn. Honestly, it's a space that I could personally hang out in for a while. As first time parents, we were very nervous about starting daycare, but Sophie has made the transition so smooth and easy for everyone. Sending us updates through out the day when morning drop offs were rough and it seems like there is always a new activity or toy ready for the babies first thing in the morning. In the short time that we've been with Downtown Baby, our daughters physical, social, and mental skills have absolutely exploded. We feel so happy that she is learning so much and able to interact with other children around her own age. We can not recommend Sophie & Downtown Baby high enough.

My review is for the walk through only as I have not yet decided if I am going to enroll my little one. My choice, if i do decide not to enroll, is only due to my own personal reasons and nothing to do with the facility. I did not know what to expect during my walk through because there was only two ratings for this daycare. I went to the location in Shell Beach. It is daycare out of a home just thought I'd point that out for those interested. The home is very clean inside, like not even a spec of dust from what I saw. The toys are very minimalistic, it's not cluttered, and its very organized. The facility also has two bedrooms for nap time if needed, one for smaller kids, and one for older kids. Both very clean. I could not see the backyard/outside area because it was too dark to see. Overall my walk through was uneventful but I did get the overall feel of the space and the person who would be watching my baby. We did meet at 5:30 as the other rating did mention, but i'm assuming it's because the hours of the daycare are 8AM-5PM and its probably a safety concern to have an unknown adult in the space with multiple children and one caregiver. I would also not want anyone i don't know or haven't met allowed in the space with my child if my child was enrolled there. The location I was at was the home space so, I can understand if that's the only time they offer because of this. There is obviously no isolated room to keep the children in while someone walked through other than a bedroom and that's a little weird to shove kids in there while trying to accommodate an adult. Anyways- based off my first visit i'd say that it's worth checking out if you're looking into childcare.

We moved to the area last summer and we were in need of having a full time daycare provider in a…read morehurry. Central coast availability of day care providers is tough due to lack of non home daycare options. We also had a challenge as my child a wasn't potty trained and she was 3. After touring a couple of home daycares we got a tour with Hearts and Hands. Ms. Roseanna runs the show there and you could see her passion and dedication to this school and to the students. After walking the building and talking to her we felt this was a good fit for our child. They also had no issues with her not being potty trained at 3. Today was her graduation day and I reflect in the journey we took for the past year. One thing I really liked at this school is communication. Teachers and Ms Roseanna always are communicating with how your child is doing. Anytime there was a bump or scratch on your kid they always let you know with a note and explained what happened. The teachers here are all amazing individuals that truly have passion for early childhood education. Ms. Sherry is such an amazing teacher. She always kept things positive and even when there was a challenging day with my child she always presented information in a positive manner. My child really enjoyed her time with Ms. Sherry. She was such a positive influence on her and I really appreciate that. Ms. Sherry brings a so much experience to the table and it shows. I wish she was my teacher. She was also so positive and reassuring when we were doing potty training. My child is now trained in time for tk thanks for her patience and dedication along with other teachers contributions. They never once got frustrated with her accidents which was so nice Ms. Christina who is no longer with the school was also very impactful in getting her ready for tk/kindergarten. She had a little more direct teaching style but it really instilled the structure in the kids like having them sit quietly. She also was very good about getting kids prepared with numbers and letter recognition. Ms. Swati is a very friendly and great with getting the kids lined up and organized. She was also very helpful days where my child didn't have an easy drop off. She always remembered my name and I always enjoyed the morning conversations and they will be missed. Ms. Bridgette is always smiling and friendly. My child didn't attend her class but any child who is in her class is lucky to have her. She super sweet. The facilities are perfect for a daycare setting. Plenty of toys, puzzles and activities. Outdoor playground is perfect for the kiddos as well. Things always seemed clean when I would drop off and pick-up Pricing is on par with what most folks are charging in the area. Overall I highly recommend this school to anyone needing a child care. I am blessed to have found this place and I know it had a very positive impact on my child's future and I'm thankful to Ms. Roseanna and all the teachers.

All the teachers really care about the kids that attend and will do their best to work with them on anything they need. The director also is very caring and attentive to all the children that attend the school and can usually be found out on the playground with them or in the classroom. I love that they take so much care with each child and its not just "watching" other people's kids all day.
