With…read moremuch despair of giving the program another chance I can proudly say that The Port Jefferson Group showed me an new way of life and with the grace of god I'll be celebrating 6 yrs. of sobriety in June. This group and A.A. saved my life.... They showed me how to be a woman of grace and dignity. They showed me how to keep suiting up and showing up...... They taught me to believe in the miracle of A.A. I formed a support group of people that supported my whole-heartedly. The wholeness of the group loved me until I could love myself..... They gave me hope and courage. They supported me through my trials and hardship of attaining custody back of my children.....They taught me how to have faith and know "This To Shall Pass". This was my home-group for about 2yrs. and I will never forget the unending support of people showing up for me and believing in me... Walked me through my fears and stood by my side through the struggles and joys. It is because of god, the unity, the 12 Steps, my sponsor and the hand of A.A. members within The Port Jefferson Group that I had a foundation laid out before me to learn how to live a life one day at a time with the honor of my children by my side.
