Children's Garden of Learning has far exceeded our expectations. It is absolutely the most warm,…read morefriendly and stimulating environment for our daughter and in two years she hasn't hesitated once to march through those doors with delight. Outside of the classroom they run, play, explore, travel on foot, buses and gondolas, hold hands, stick together, and have become brave little adventurers. In the classroom the teachers guide the kids through everything from learning letters to expressing emotions to solving problems independently and my daughter has matured dramatically in her time here. She has advanced her social skills, built confidence and self-esteem, and is curious about the world around her thanks to this team. I know she will succeed in Kindergarten. We are so grateful and will never forget our time at Children's Garden of Learning.

I came into town on a trip so I could race in the Leadville Trail 100 MTB race. During the week…read moreleading up to the race, I needed a place for my 4 year old daughter to stay while I did some riding. I spoke with Morning star and arranged a stay for 1 day there. They have a good location / facility and were able to help me out. My daughter is sometimes a bit shy, but they smartly had her hooked up with another girl who was very social and about the same age and i was shocked to see them hitting it off like best friends - even before I finished filling out the paperwork! The direct care staff seemed to be experienced and able to keep things under control. They have their own bus and do regular field trips with the kids as well -which is great I think. My daughter was excited about a frog they had there and overall had a great time. Even I was a little sad I couldn't leave her there for the next day to go on the field trip to see the dinosaur prints in rocks. Sounds pretty cool. Sign me up!

The guides that teach are unprofessional. They are constantly on their phones when they send the…read morekids off to explore, which is more like playing. They give them many of those opportunities, too. At one point, one of them was on the phone and cheering about getting something like a job. I wasn't sure. The other guide joined her and started cheering. They also encourage the kids to use the bathroom outdoors since that's what they would do in nature. I didn't know that and had nothing, such as tissue, to give to the kids. I don't recommend them.

Walking Mountains has been nothing but wonderful during our visit to the Vail Valley. One of the…read morebest parts is their customer service! Because of Covid, they're requiring registration for their free events, which we had to switch around a bit while we were here in Vail for the week. They were all so courteous and helpful. Always giving me other options if something wasn't working out. The backcountry guided snowshoe hike, led by Nathan, was phenomenal!! He took us to West Lake Creek trail. We hiked for about 3 miles total. And he gave us low elevation folks plenty of stops to thoroughly catch our breath. And of course, we learned all about the science of snow while we rested. He also taught us about animal tracks and habitats, avalanches, wildfires, snow pack, water content in snow, etc. (Snowshoes were included.) Thank you Nathan and the entire Walking Mountain crew!

My back and sanity are overwhelmed with joy and it fits on the gondola without being folded. The stroller wasn't quite as clean as I would like but I think that applies to most things for me and may be an issue of my own making. ;-) So, if you're like me and like to travel light take a look!

We rented a condo for our trip to Breckenridge. The advantage was a larger living space, full…read morekitchen and multiple bedrooms. The downside is, no pack and play or other items usually available at a hotel. I was overwhelmed when thinking about how much we would have to bring for our 2 year old. That's when I found mountain tot. We were able to rent a crib, jogging stroller and a box of age appropriate toys (which was perfectly selected because my daughter LOVED all of them. It even included books!) The best part, everything was waiting for us in our condo when we arrived. All I had to bring was a car seat. They also have baby items such as high chairs and baby saucers, baby backpacks, even kids' plates and cups (which I wish I would have added because everything in our kitchen was glass). Mountain Tot has pretty much anything you could need for a baby, toddler or preschooler, which makes for a much easier packing job! We will be using this service again!!!

Peak 8 Child care is the best of the best. Our three year old is not quite ready to ski, so we…read morebooked him for three days at this facility. This was the first time we have put him in child care aside from his school at home, so naturally I was a bit worried. All of that worry was for nothing. The first day we were greeted, filled out forms, and Kristin came to get him to bring him back to his room. He was having a hard time saying goodbye to mom, but as they walked back, I could hear Kristin asking if he liked trains. It is so nice when people are engaging and pivoting the topic instead of telling a kid they are okay and mom will be back. He had a great first day. The second day was much easier during drop off. When I picked him up, he started crying and did not want to leave. The third day Kristin came out and he RAN to hug her. As a parent, this is the best feeling in the world to see someone treat your child with so much love that they are drawn to them. It is abundantly clear that the staff members work here because they love what they do. He also had Skyler and Maggie as teacher and while I had limited interaction with them, I know our son was very happy when I asked about them. They give a detailed report of the day, even report potty breaks. The level of detail and care was top notch. Honestly, he was happier here than at his own school back home. I could go on and on but the bottom line is that they are amazing and your child will be safe and loved.
