My Son's certificate from little swimmers when he was 4 years old. Look at the year 2001 . Where has the time gone?

This review is long overdue as my kids are almost grown but this was the school that both my kids at 4 years old learned to swim. The location at that time in our lives was perfect, the convenience of their schedule and the young instructors that were caring toward my kids was what made it special for me. As a mom, I wanted instructors that knew how to teach 4 year olds and that's exactly what we got. I highly recommend little swimmers for your little ones swimming lessons.

Thank you Instructor Bella at little swimmers for your for your patience, love, and dedication to our daughter Briseis. Little swimmers Instructors are very professional and well trained in teaching our daughter to be her absolute best in swimming. Our 6 year old who was terrified in swimming started swimming within her 1st class! By the third class Briseis excel in her swimming skills and technique and gained confidence in herself and her performance in the water. To her Instructor Ms. Bella: we are so grateful and thankful for all you have done for our daughter. Because of you she is a great swimmer and loves to swim in the water. Your teaching technique is beautiful. Thank you Ms. Bella and Little swimmer staff for all you have done for us. We are very grateful and happy with the customer service and everything about little swimmers. See you all again!!

My daughter took 2 weeks of classes with Michael (Smiley) and is swimming like a little fish at only 2 years old. I was very happy with Michael and the way he handled my daughter. He was a very professional and effective instructor. My cousin put her daughter with mine for the same two weeks but unfortunately had a less professional and effective instructor so do yourself and your child a favor by requesting Michael (Smiley) or any of the others recommended by name in reviews so that you and your child will have a better experience. My cousin's daughter did learn a lot but likely could have done far better with a different instructor. Their rain policy could definitely stand some improvement as I drove all the way over there only to have them cancel the class after I had gotten there on two separate occasions despite having called and been told that class would go on. They do offer rain checks but it would be best to anticipate the need for one earlier and not have clients waste their time driving over there if the possibility of cancellation is high. Overall Little Swimmers is a good option and I will likely be back in the spring for a refresher class before summer fun begins.

Great instructor - Roy and "Joey McFlowy"

My son just completed his two week lessons and he's definitely learned to swim, thats for sure. My son is 2 and half years old and although the first few days were rough for him, by the fourth day he was adjusted to the experience and the instructor. I know for some parents of little ones seeing your child cry and being forced to swim back and forth to the wall can be tough, but it's one of those life experiences they need to go through in order to ensure their safety. In my case, my son walked right into a pool a week before I signed him and and yes, he sank. Zero swimming instinct. I knew it was time to get him into lessons. And I'm very happy I did. I would note that when you call they immediately offer you a two week course but you can opt for one- I learned this while chatting with the other moms on the sidelines. Also, it's best to sit away from your kids as they work with their instructor. Seeing mom, dad, or grandma triggers more crying so be prepared for that. They have a little covered area with benches (which are worse for the ware so be careful sitting on them- they should consider replacing or repairing the one that's broken). Roy was my son's teacher and he was great. He's patient, kind, and silly with the kids. He has a good grip on when to push and when to draw back. Not so sure I can say the same for all the other instructors I saw, but every child is different and presents their own challenges- so I know I shouldn't draw conclusions quickly. Ultimately I'm giving 4 stars due to the broken benches and also the fact that for the first 3 days of so the water was slightly green. When I mentioned something the girls at the desk assured me that the pool was getting treated but the rain was making it hard to balance the pool. Eh. From what I understand having had a pool it only starts to turn green when you're not on top of it. Thankfully after a few days it was fine but that's why I won't give a 5. You gotta earn that 5. :)

My daughter has done (3) two week rounds of little swimmers in her three years of life, always two weeks before summer starts. First year: Alvaro. He was amazing. She learned quickly and loved him. She cried day 1 and 2, by day 3, all smiles. He no longer teaches, sadly. Second year: Joel. My daughter also loved him. Because a year had passed since she last did a class, she was sort of starting from scratch. However, she was not afraid of water, as she had done classes before. Both times, she learned how to swim from center of pool to edge in just two weeks. They would also throw her in, and she would, on own, swim to edge. Today, we started the third round with Luis. I just met him, but he seems good. I will give feedback after our two weeks are over. My #1 piece of advice (one I should follow), is to practice with the kids here and there. They tend to forget, if you wait a year in between like I did. At least that's my experience. Again, even spacing them out, my daughter could defend herself in water, but she did lose many of the skills she learned. Definitely needs refresher yearly. Reason I kept a star? Bathrooms are disgusting. I understand that they share restrooms with golf course, but wow. Today I walked into the restroom (location near 104) and vomited. There was no air conditioning, dead bugs everywhere, they looked as if they haven't been cleaned in years. Considering that there is no other restroom for kids/parents, they should do their best to keep the one they share, looking better. This needs to be addressed.

My boss recommended this club as they work with children with special needs. That was so comforting to know. But when she told me where this place was located, I almost changed my mind. I live in Homestead and the club is located all the way right across the Tamiami Airport. But my son needed exercise and he needed to learn how to swim. The club is located in one of the warehouses on 120th. Its two floors, but not very big. The front of the club is the office area, waiting area, and changing area. It's air conditioned. There is one restroom inside and a shower outside next to the pool. Outside the office is a winding staircase that is blocked off to keep the parents from sitting on them. There is also a gate so that only students can enter the pool. There's not a lot of comfortable sitting area but the place always looks clean. The pool is a normal size pool and its about 4 ft. deep. The pool area is decorated with flags and their safety tools are visible and accessible against the wall. The pool are divided into 3 lanes. Each lane host a maximum of 3 students. On a slow day, my son would get one on one lessons. From what I was told, the two owners/instructors are both Cuban Olympic Swimming Athletes back in the days. So they are legit instructors. They do not speak a lot of English but they had been very pleasant and accommodating to myself and my son. They do have younger, Bilingual instructors there (one is Coach Yesid) and that is how we would communicate with the Coach Carlos. The Coaches are no joke, and they mean business. This type of structure is what my son needs and I truly appreciate that. My son could only go to class once a week and he learned to swim in no time...from freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. And the best part is the confidence! We enjoy being part of this swimming club and highly recommend it.

Little swimmers in Killian, consists of two pools, covered waiting area for parents and hut which serves like an office. They are open Monday - Friday 9:00-7:30pm My husband agreed to take both babies as I was told they would cry for the first few days inconsolably. It would be too much pain and torture for me so I decide to show up after class everyday. The survival swimming class is two weeks in a row program. The seating area for parents is distance so you can still see your child. They recommend you stay away so you don't become a distraction during the class. Outcome: I don't know how they did it but it's magical. They both learned to swim to the edge. They are still too young to learn technique but I feel a little more comfortable now especially as we are approaching the summer. The instructors (Jaylen & Leandra) were both very nice & sweet. They offer you the opportunity to get in the water on the last day of class to show you, so you could keep practicing. We definitely plan to continue bringing them every year for a refresher before the summer! We definitely thought thought this was a great investment as we have a pool at home. Although it's gated it's always important take alternative security measures. The only reason I didn't give this place an overall 5 stars was because I feel they could do a better job in making the facility look nicer. I have been to other swimming schools in miami and the facility is a lot nicer looking. Otherwise service was 5 stars.

Best swim instructors ever…read more Summary: Exceptional methods and results. Fabulous with highly sensitive and/or very cautious kids. Impeccably reliable/timely. Safety-focused. CPR certified. Built an incredible rapport with my little that makes grown ups work hard to earn her trust. Details: We have a lake and a pool in our backyard but put off lessons due to covid. By the time we finally got my then-3.5yr old in the pool without a puddle jumper, she wanted NOTHING to do with the experience. She's naturally very cautious and not a water baby at heart (didn't even like splash pads or the bath). We reached out to Tamara of Swim Me after reading glowing reviews but had very low expectations for success. She started with lower-risk activities like kicking her feet in the water and chatting. Over the course of several months (our family schedule was wonky), we've worked with two instructors, both of whom have an OT background and they have done an extraordinary job. A few things I specifically valued: they were on time, all the time. They focus on safety and teach it regularly in a fun/relevant way. They encouraged us to leave our pool vacuum in the pool along with anything else that's normally in it. If she, God forbid, falls in, they won't be foreign or hard-to-manage obstacles, she knows how to navigate them easily. Sometimes they even throw in extra things as a curveball just so she can figure them out in a SAFE environment. We went from terrified of a grave outcome if she found herself in water, and from screaming and crying any time she had to get in, to a kid who knows (and follows!) all the pool safety rules. She can land anywhere in the pool (which in 95% of it is over her head) and knows more than one way to get to air and back to dry land. Honestly, I got misty the first time I saw it. It's not just seeing her impressively kick and paddle from one side of the pool to the other (which she can do and brings great joy to us ), but knowing she is equipped for a myriad of scenarios. Now if you were to ask her, she'd just tell you that Ms. Beatrice is super fun and she loves their play time. I can't think of a better scenario: we know she is infinitely safer from a real danger, and she just thinks she has an epic playdate weekly. Bonus: she also loves the splash pads and the bath now which is a secondary win for mom.

I am very grateful to both of them for how they treated my son, and I saw that they treated everyone equally. I regret that neither of them are currently with us. I reinstated my son, and we are very disappointed with the new management of the place. I believe they do not have enough experience or knowledge to run that place. I am very, very disappointed in the manager of "Ocaquatics Eureka." The current manager, "Mailyn," and the other girl who evaluates the children, I think should prepare more for the job they're doing. They'll move a child who hasn't yet met the requirements to another class, leaving another stuck at a level ready for a change, and the answer is that he hasn't been at that level for two or three months. On top of that, she doesn't feel capable and tells me that a supervisor above her would evaluate the child. So, why is she there? What's so special about my child? What a disappointment about that place, really. Right now, I don't recommend that location, and I hope one day they'll bring back Angela or Felipe, or at least someone well-prepared to run that place.
