A fantastic, cheap, delicious find in downtown Belfast. They have superb lunch specials, quick/friendly service, and the food was great. I recommend: the cheesy bread, salads, and the pizza. We went with a simple pepperoni, our friend went with plain cheese. That plus drinks was less than 15 pounds for three people. That being said, this is not pizza in Rome, New York, Chicago, or Detroit. This is never going to compete with that food. I have tried to find decent pizza in this city and a good amount of people suggested Little Wing. I'm sorry to say after trying 2 styles of pizza there it's honestly junk. Now before I go on I think the staff and the decor of the place are very good but as for the actual pizza--yikes. Sauce is faint which is traditional way but it seems like they only use one cheese for the pizza which makes no real appeal to my taste buds...crust wise good job on the flop but it doesn't compliment the blend of cheese and sauce. It's more of a bakery type pizza rather than a pizzeria. It wasn't impressive and honestly it is drunk pizza (again nothing to be ashamed of). I previously rated Little Wing as 4 star but am re-reviewing them and dropping my choice of rating to 3 stars. This is because on a couple of recent visits I have found the pizza a bit bland and tasteless. In particular, on my most recent visit which was Thursday 16 June 2016, I ordered a goats cheese calzone. It's supposed to contain goats cheese, caramelised onion and spinach but seriously lacked flavour and I couldn't taste any caramelised onion at all. I personally think there are better places in Belfast for pizza. On the plus side Little Wing offer great service, decent enough wine and super vegetarian options. I love this place! Little Wings Pizzeria is a little different from anything else in Belfast (Pizza wise anyway!). The restaurant itself is really nice, bright and modern and you can watch the chef hard at work which is a nice touch. Service is friendly and quick and I Love the huge selection of toppings available. For me the hotter the pizza the better and they accommodated this for me! Lots of chili flakes! The unique point about Little Wings is that fro £3 (bargain) you can order a New York style slice of Pizza and carry on walking through the City taking in all the sights! Its brilliant! You don't even have to go inside to do this as they have provided a hatch specifically for this purpose! Its fab! I was recommended this place by a friend as being one of the best pizza places in Belfast, and I was hungry after a full day touring the city so I stopped by. It was okay, but I just wasn't impressed. The decor is American, the music is very American (country music, gag) but the menu items are all in Italian - what?! Just pick one culture theme, please. I ordered the goat cheese and caramelised onion calzone, because I couldn't remember the last time I had a calzone and I adore goat cheese so why not. It was okay - not nearly as much flavor as I was expecting but still tasty. I liked the touch of salad on the side, made it prettier. Ideally located between the bars of the Cathedral Quarter and the City Hall this narrow little pizzeria is always buzzing, and just right too. It's quick, it's cosy and it is tasty. Actually, if you sit along the left hand side it is more than cosy, as the wall must back onto an oven! As regards the food, it's pizza, not rocket science and the staff are very happy to let you order what you want, as apparently goats cheese, rocket and pepperoni is not a regular topping. In case you were wondering, it tastes great. A Little MASSIVE pizza was enjoyed! First time in little wing in ages. We called in here on a Tuesday lunchtime (approx 12:30) and the place was dead. We were greeted by a friendly chap who quickly took us to the back and sat us down. Given the place was dead we were approached immediately for drinks. A few moments later we were approached for our food order. Given there was 3 of us we decided we would have a 24" Piccante carnavore pizza. When it arrived it was absolutely huge, but was really tasty. After we demolished our larger than large pizza we departed, only to realise the front of the restaurant was packed (obviously we missed people coming in, as we were too busy feeding our faces). You pay for your bill at the till on the way out. Prices here were reasonable with you also being able to pick up a slice of pizza for you lunch and take away. This place is perfect for a lunch date or if you fancy a break from the boots meal deal. When we first stumbled on this place, it was about half past eleven at night, and we couldn't believe it was still open. We were further astounded by the fact that you could come in at that time, sit down at a table, get waiter service and order a bottle of wine. The atmosphere is like a bar combined with a really nice restaurant, which is a hard balance to strike. The pizzas, which are clearly their speciality, are made with such care you can really taste it. They can look a bit sparse, but don't let that fool you - they're bursting with taste. And the bruschetta starter is huge - there's probably more bread involved in this than your average pizza. Just had a brilliant meal in Little Wing, myself and 3 friends called in for a mid week catch up and I have to say I was not disappointed. We had 2 starters between the 4 of us and a 24" pizza to share, we were able to get 2 different toppings on the pizza as well. After this feast we managed to fit in one of their little cup desserts which at £2 cannot be turned down, and you just add £1 for a cup of tea or coffee to go with it - all this plus a few soft drinks and a glass of wine came to just under £47, however to top it off they also do a massive 20% student discount, which meant our 3 course meal with drinks including tip cost us £10 each!! Stumbling across this place was sheer luck for me, but I'm so happy I did. I would go as far to say that it's the best Pizzeria in the city. Whether you simply want a slice if you're on the go, or you fancy sitting in, this place caters for it all. It feels very 'New York' when buying a slice of pizza from a hatch at the front of the restaurant, but great fun and cheap too! You certainly get your money's worth. However, the sit in restaurant is where Little Wing really shines. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere relaxed and the menu is great, if a tad limited. They do a great bruschetta starter, that I can never really look past when ordering and a spicy piccante pizza which is my favourite. The food is freshly made and the pizzas, around seven to nine pounds each, are baked in a tradition stone, wood burning, pizza oven. A brilliant place for a date; get one of the booths at the back of the restaurant which are probably one of the most romantic spots in the city. It all feels very European inside, very Italian. The warm glow from the stone oven makes for a very cosy atmosphere that is hard to beat. This place is an example of the new Belfast that is forming around the developments of the Cathedral quarter and the new European feel of the city. Had lunch in Little Wing yesterday, I ordered my favourite Calzone with goats cheese,spinach and caramelised onion.. Have had this pizza severel times before, so I knew what to expect. My boyfriend also ordered another type of calzone with salami,pepperoni, ham and chili.. His was very spicy, and half of the pizza was burned on the top.. As we were tired and very hungry, didn't complain, just ate the most of it ms left. Guess they had a busy day or we were just unlucky this time, but definitely was not as tasty as used to be. Little Wing is a fantastic little Pizzeria in Ann Street. What I like most about this place isn't the aspect of sitting in a dining. There's nothing wrong with doing that. The décor is pleasant and the staff are friendly. The cooking process is easily viewable which makes it a little different to most sit in restaurants, it makes you feel a little involved. The prices are reasonable as well so there's no complaints. The best thing about Little Wing however, is its take away service. It's just a little hatch at the front of the shop which serves huge, oversized slices of pizza in customised boxes. They are fantastic for a snack whilst travelling around town and really convenient. At nearly £3 for one slice of pizza, I'd say this place is a bit steep. The cafe is very nice, with a funky cream and brown decor, so it is 'taste of Italy' sort of stuff. To be honest, I couldn't really enjoy myself here, which is no reflection on the staff. Recently, I heard a story from a friend of a friend about an incident in the Lisburn Road branch where after being seated by a waiter, the manager angrily ordered them to leave and told them they had 'skipped the queue' even though it was in no way their fault. I've had this story verified by a reputable source and I have to say it made me not want to even eat in the Ann St branch. A friend of mine was raving about this little pizzeria recently so I thought I'd try it out. She said they do amazing slices of pizza for take away from a hatch out the front of the restaurant - they do! But I wasn't quite as amazed by mine! It was around lunchtime and the outside seating area was empty and from what I could see of inside it was empty too. As I approached I imagined a lovely huge slice of pineapple and ham pizza - my favourite! The experience itself wasn't as tasty. I ordered a slice and a soda combo for £2.50 - not a bad deal. I asked for my pineapple and ham slice and was told they only do two flavours of slice pizza - margharita or pepperoni. Not really to my taste but I went for the pepperoni as at that stage I felt I was in too deep to backtrack. The pizza came fast as it was they were already prepared so a bonus point for the waiting time. The slice itself wasn't really very big, I was kind of disappointed as it was gone in seconds - the box it came in had a little quirky statement on the side saying I could take the box home as a piece of art or put it in a paper bin - there were no paper only bins around (why don't they get one for outside?) and I was sure I didn't want to hang a greasy box on my wall so dumped it in a nearby bin. Not the worst experience with pizza I've ever had but not the best either - three tips 1. Get more flavours. 2. Give bigger slices and 3. Get a paper only bin outside! read more

In my opinion this is one of the best pizzerias in town. I went there with my sister on a week evening and the waiters were very nice and attentive. The food was neatly prepared and served promptly. But a bargain when you're in a rush and want some good food and something to wash it down after. Plastering the chilli oil and walking up the road eating it is a bad idea, oily fingers obviously. The food is good. The staff? Just rude. Every time I return I hate myself a little bit. Why? Because I'm a sucker for tasty pizza, and will put up with being treated like a leper for an hour while my friends and I feast ourselves on scrummy cheesy pizza.
