Goats cheese calzone, nice but lacking in something. Definitely not the best veg option on menu.

I previously rated Little Wing as 4 star but am re-reviewing them and dropping my choice of rating to 3 stars. This is because on a couple of recent visits I have found the pizza a bit bland and tasteless. In particular, on my most recent visit which was Thursday 16 June 2016, I ordered a goats cheese calzone. It's supposed to contain goats cheese, caramelised onion and spinach but seriously lacked flavour and I couldn't taste any caramelised onion at all. I personally think there are better places in Belfast for pizza. On the plus side Little Wing offer great service, decent enough wine and super vegetarian options. It's also good to see carafes of wine available in a restaurant as is the case here.

I love this place! Little Wings Pizzeria is a little different from anything else in Belfast (Pizza wise anyway!). The restaurant itself is really nice, bright and modern and you can watch the chef hard at work which is a nice touch. Service is friendly and quick and I Love the huge selection of toppings available. For me the hotter the pizza the better and they accommodated this for me! Lots of chili flakes! The unique point about Little Wings is that fro £3 (bargain) you can order a New York style slice of Pizza and carry on walking through the City taking in all the sights! Its brilliant! You don't even have to go inside to do this as they have provided a hatch specifically for this purpose! Its fab! The pizza's themselves are tasty and full of flavour and the prices are good too, which is quite rare for a pizzeria! Big thumbs up form me!

This place aims to bring a true taste of Italy to a little back street in Belfast. And for the most part, they do a great job. We called in because I had heard raving reports about it from so many people and I wanted to join in their conversation... I'm just a lonely soul me. The place looks and feels like a proper pizza parlour. With a little seating area outside that seems somewhat wasted because it's stuck in a backstreet in Belfast. But the food is simply faultless. I got a terrific pizza called salsiccia which was like a pizza covered with a spicy sausage. It was absolutely faultless. We sadly went whenever there was a family complete with rude, loud, cheeky children which actually ruined the meal. The food was excellent. The service was great. The patrons were dreadful. Will definitely go back when it's quieter

Oh Little Wing, I would love you more if you charged me a little less but despite that I'm still in love with you.. Like the bees are in love with the honey is what I am for you... If you want a little authentic experience try this out...I wasn't given any cutlery just a pizza slicer...nice!!! This restaurant is a little bit small as there are not that many tables, I would have been back alot more if pizza express didn't always have a stupendous deals!!!

A top restaurant in the city centre which is very popular with locals. It;s a great place to pop in for lunch and get a huge big New York stylee slicea pizza. You can also take away your hunka pizza, which is great! The pizza is so delish and comes really highly recommended. Perfect for a light lunch with friends or a quick grab n go! Long may Little Wing serve Belfastians!

Goat's cheese and caramelised onion calzone

I was recommended this place by a friend as being one of the best pizza places in Belfast, and I was hungry after a full day touring the city so I stopped by. It was okay, but I just wasn't impressed. The decor is American, the music is very American (country music, gag) but the menu items are all in Italian - what?! Just pick one culture theme, please. I ordered the goat cheese and caramelised onion calzone, because I couldn't remember the last time I had a calzone and I adore goat cheese so why not. It was okay - not nearly as much flavor as I was expecting but still tasty. I liked the touch of salad on the side, made it prettier. I topped it off with some tiramisu which wasn't one of the best ones I've had, but again not bad. I've eaten so much pizza I think it's hard to impress me, but I still had a good meal.

Best gluten free pizza ever. So hard to find a decent restaurant that caters for gluten free! Would definitely Recommend

    Perfect post-work pre-pint pizza action.

Out and about doing a little bar hopping in town and need something to keep you going, Little Wing is the prefect place. Ideally located between the bars of the Cathedral Quarter and the City Hall this narrow little pizzeria is always buzzing, and just right too. It's quick, it's cosy and it is tasty. Actually, if you sit along the left hand side it is more than cosy, as the wall must back onto an oven! As regards the food, it's pizza, not rocket science and the staff are very happy to let you order what you want, as apparently goats cheese, rocket and pepperoni is not a regular topping. In case you were wondering, it tastes great. They also do a lunch deal of a big slice (of one of two flavours) and a drink for £2.75 which is great when you are in a rush, or just want to people watch in Cornmarket, a treat in itself.. ;-)

    Ready to tackle this

Just had a brilliant meal in Little Wing, myself and 3 friends called in for a mid week catch up and I have to say I was not disappointed. We had 2 starters between the 4 of us and a 24" pizza to share, we were able to get 2 different toppings on the pizza as well. After this feast we managed to fit in one of their little cup desserts which at £2 cannot be turned down, and you just add £1 for a cup of tea or coffee to go with it - all this plus a few soft drinks and a glass of wine came to just under £47, however to top it off they also do a massive 20% student discount, which meant our 3 course meal with drinks including tip cost us £10 each!! Will definitely being availing of this again soon!!

The 4 huge slices from the slice selection.

Amazing pizza for a great price. Really good atmosphere and the decor is really laid back. Got the slice selection which was 4 slices from the 24inch and they were huge! Really tasty and a really nice thin base. The staff were really nice and attentive. Great value for money.

    Before and after!

There is a 4 course meal option here where you can get a starter, a pasta, another main entree (+£5 if you get the steak and +£6 if you get the market special fish, which in this case was halibut and was delicious), and a dessert for £46. I got beef carpaccio, beef ragu with papardelle, lamb, and tiramisu + my friends ordered some different dishes so we could all try a little of everything. The food was absolutely amazing! Service was attentive + friendly! It's definitely not cheap, but if you're looking for a good "treat yo'self" option in Belfast, look no further than here!

The place has comfortable seating, combination of booths and chairs. It's a very noisy place so if you're going with more than 2 or 3 people it will be difficult to have good conversations. We were well taken care of by several servers that kept water and drinks coming when requested. We started with the Focaccia with olive oil, Cerignola Olives, and Anchovy Toast, Stracciatella & Marinated Peppers. The starters were well received and everything was very good. We then placed our orders, too many to list here, but I had the pea and ham risotto and a companion had the gnocchi. It was requested that the gnocchi only have the tomato sauce but it arrived with the basil and cheese on top. The dish was okay but nothing spectacular. It was offered to remake it but we declined just for lack of time and holding up everyone's dinners. The pea and ham risotto had whole peas and several small slices of ham on it. This dish was like eating a plate of melted cheese with peas thrown in. It was hard to distinguish the risotto from anything else in the dish. The pistachios had a nice toasted flavor to them but the cheese just over powered everything else. Some of the other dishes ordered were the duck ragu (seemed well received), but the beef cheek dishes were not well received and had a number of comments that the quality and flavor wasn't there. From what we recall from last year not only was the restaurant renovated but so was the menu and I think we preferred the old menu. Not sure there will be a return visit if we come back to the city again.

It occupies the prime spot out of all the restaurants in Vic Square, the iconic glass corner tower ( ex Chiquito). Tony Macaroni is a large Scottish (Glasgow) chain of "Real Italian Food" run by Sep Marini. This is the second one in Northern Ireland (after Bangor). I brought my daughter as my plus one, a welcome distraction from AQE preparations!! She was so thrilled and excited as it was a surprise for her. The interior has all been totally refurbished with the main features being the bar and the open kitchen. On arrival we were very warmly met and seated by the Manageress. There was Prosecco on arrival but I opted for the sparkling water and Fanta for my daughter. The menu was very extensive, with lots of mouth watering, Italian named dishes and my daughter immediately spotted the calamari whilst I opted for the Gamberoni (prawns). After a few minutes our dishes arrived and looked incredible. They were big portions!! The squid was juicy and perfectly cooked and the garlic mayo and sweet chilli sauce accompanied them well, whilst the prawns were subtly flavoured with lemon, garlic and white wine and served with sticky rice. It didn't take us long to finish!! Spaghetti carbonara is a firm favourite for my two daughters and for me I love calzone, so I ordered the Americana and my daughter insisted on chips (I tried to dissuade her as I suspected the portions would be large). When the dishes arrived I was certainly right about the big portion sizes!! The carbonara was excellent (my daughters honest opinion!!) and I must say did taste excellent!! The chips were big fat fellows. My calzone was a bit plump round the edges but bursting with filling- the sausage, bacon and ham bursting out along with the tomato, cheese and onion and was tremendous! Alas bellies beat our eyes and we had to stop and leave room for desert!! We asked for the rest to be packed (so no 2 daughter wouldn't feel left out!!). For sweets my daughter chose the white chocolate sundae whilst I was recommended the toffee tablet cheesecake. When they arrived my daughters eyes lit up!! She immediately went to work, like a busy beaver, deconstructing it, peeling back the layers of cone, mint, cream, raspberries, vanilla and strawberry ice cream until the treasure of white chocolate was unearthed at the bottom. Meanwhile my toffee tablet cheesecake, topped with raspberries and blackberries and served with a pot of cream was equally indulgent. "Tablet" I hear you say, it's not medicinal but is what our Scots friends call butterscotch fudge. There were nice chunks on and in the creamy toffee cheesecake. The biscuit base was quite thin and the addition of the pot of cream was maybe too much!! This was all washed down with a cappuccino and hot chocolate. Well we could hardly move after all that!! The food was excellent and service was slick. We were given a nice gift bag containing a glass and bottle of Prosecco (for the wife of course!!) as well as the remains of the spaghetti and pizza (for no 2 daughter). I shall definitely be back with the rest of the family as there are a few dishes I want to try and I love the Presto menu for £5.95 (£6.95 on Sunday) and the breakfasts and the "Go Jimmy style" of having pizza/pasta half/half, a great way to share.
