Lovely setting with grassland walks nearby.
I selected the steak and ale pie and was disappointed to be presented with only a third of a full pie on my plate! There were about 10 chips and 50-60 peas swimming in gravy. All very tasty but the small helping of pie looked and tasted as if it had been cooking all day.
Gents toilets were clean inside but were hideously in full view of guests and constructed from an old portacabin with dirty weather-beaten (once) white sides and a glaringly yellow door! Someone had written "gents" on an A4 piece of paper and stuck it to the door.
The building looked as though it had been positioned there temporarily ten years ago.!
Room for improvement would include fencing off the gents toilet if this is the only place for it and a more accessible outside tap to get water for dogs which didn't have a sprinkler system already attached to it! read more
