They teach you all the nutritional things you need to know to maintain your weight loss without having to continuously purchase some type of product and you don't have to do 35 Tupperware containers worth of food for meal prep (unless you'd like to...) A little over a year ago, I sadly ordered a pair of 4X pajama jeans on the net and then realized they don't make 5x and it was past time to do something. I set out without any direction and lost about 20 lbs on my own (basically just starving myself) and then stalled out and was unable to go any farther. I then heard about Skye and I made an appointment and while I was scared to death, nervous and even a bit skeptical, I set out on a journey in February 2018 that to date (9 mos) has resulted in a loss of over another 50 lbs. (some people loose much faster, but I have done this at my own speed and comfort level) I still want to loose another 50 lbs. At my age I want to be at a lesser weight than I was when I was young. As I am old and not active I want less stress on my bones and joints. I did not set out on this journey to be a model or beautiful. I want to be healthy and live longer. I was in Dillards yesterday in search for Potpourri. I haven't done much clothes shopping as I don't want to spend a lot of money on clothes until I am done. I saw a Levi's display and thought to myself, "Self, you need a motivational pair of jeans" I went to the women's section to buy a pair of jeans that were too small. Since the last jeans I bought were some (ugh) 2x pajama jeans I thought, 20w should be about right. Went into the dressing room and was a bit tickled that they were way too big. Deciding that I was going to enjoy this, I went back and got some 18s. Again too big so went and grabbed some 16s. Too big. I looked at the sales lady and asked "where do I go from here?" She took me over to the "normal people" levis and handed me some 14s. (or 32 x 32 sizing of Levis like they are supposed to be sized) and also handed me some 12s (or 31 x 32) I tried on both. The 14s were comfortable and the 12s were tight. I bought both. One because I decided that not only did I need incentive jeans, I was ok to get celebratory jeans I can wear the 31 x 32. I want the 32 x 32 because I never thought I would again see a day that a size 14 would be my "fat" jeans. Do you have any idea how long it has been that I bought jeans where the length is bigger than the waist size? OMG!! I still have a ways to go on my journey, but with huge triumphs like this and with the always friendly and caring people at Skye, I know I will get there and I do not care how long it takes. If you have been putting something like this off, just go for it. If you are concerned about the cost, in the long run, I save money when I compare the cost of the junk food I used to buy vs the monthly office visit and the daily protein bar snacks. (I love the chocolate bars)
