This was by far one of my favorite things in Sydney! Michael…read moreour guide was amazing and so friendly, and had a great sense of humor about having a group of people on bikes trailing after him. BB has a laid back vibe-- like going on a bike ride with a good friend and experiencing the beautiful city you live in. The process to buy and book my ticket was really easy via their website, and the cost is reasonable considering the time and the entertainment value of the experience. They provide blue helmets for safety, and the best part?? THEIR BIKES!! Being from a bike heavy city, I was prepared to do some work cycling around Sydney. But BB has these fantastic bikes that are electric. They are battery powered but respond to the power and effort of the rider him/herself. You have to pedal to move, but it does make going up hills much easier and not leave you as a sweaty mess. They explain everything and review safety prior to your ride, but it makes it really easy to enjoy the trip. The only hazards really are the pedestrians! You go through some heavy walking areas so be aware and careful. Occasionally you'll hear pedestrians complain, and my response is "just because you're walking doesn't mean you can be an asshole". As far as I was concerned, we got off and walked our bikes in the areas it made sense, and rode them where it was safe or clearly marked for bikes. BB makes every effort to fit in their city, and also maintain the safety of their riders. Awesome awesome tour and I HIGHLY recommend them!!

Our guide was excellent. He's an enthusiastic biker and proud Sydney resident. He's exactly what you want from a guide because it seemed as much fun for him to be on the ride as it was for us. The bikes and helmets were fine for this ride. TIP consider what you'll be wearing on your ride even before you've left home TIP we stopped for coffee and then later for lunch BONUS excellent leg of our tour in the bit of the Rocks many tourists might miss

I can not say enough positive things about this tour. I've done bike tours in the USA (Chicago,…read moreWashington DC, San Francisco) and in London and it's always a great way to see a lot of the city without having to walk miles and figure out some of the places you'd have to be chained to a map to find. I really didn't know what to expect, I found this tour online and had my hotel help to set it up. I decided about an hour before the tour start time and Graeme was able to get me in. When you arrive, he is set up right in the grassy area so look for a truck with bikes. Also, go with the electric bike (unless you are really looking for a workout). This was the first time I used an electric bike and found the tour much more enjoyable as I wasn't tired by the end but felt like I still got some exercise. Graeme led the tour and was very friendly and entertaining. He took us all over Bridge, Luna Park, Wendy's Garden, Opera House, Elizabeth's Chair and other spots). We left about 10:30 and got back, slightly later then he originally planned at 4:30. For the cost, $95 for 6 hours it was well worth it! He also takes a lot of pictures (some group shots and some singles) throughout the tour and emails them to you. I thought this was a nice touch. As I was by myself, most of the time I don't get pictures so he also is more then accommodating to take picture of you if you ask. We also stopped for coffee and lunch partial way through our tour (cost on your own for both). I must say, I had a really good group and not knowing anyone it was also enjoyable to hear other people talk about what they had/planned to do while in Sydney. Do this tour if you have time, I promise you won't be disappointed!!!!

It is a relatively safe, mostly fenced in path by the water. Basically, you would have to be taking some large risks to fall in, though there are places you may venture forth onto relatively flat rocks or around a neat outdoor swimming pool. With a leisurely pace and pauses for photos or just to sit back and relax, the round trip took us an hour and 15 minutes. I particularly enjoyed the metal sculptures set in the rocky ledges along the walkway leading towards Shelley Beach, known as the Cabbage Tree Bay Eco Sculpture Walk. Also outstanding, at Shelley Beach, there were quite a few wild turkeys wandering about.

The Manly to Shelly Beach Walk is located in an area known as the Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve…read more The boundaries are from the south end of Manly Beach to the north end of Shelly Beach. This area is full of rocky shores which you see numerous people walking around in. The waters of the reserve is home to more than 160 species of fish along with kelp and seagrass. While the actual walkway on Marine Parade is a nice place for walker and joggers/runners to get some physical activity while being amidst some natural beauty. Along the walk you see a lot of waterfront houses. Saw a number of houses perched on top of rock formations and walls. It must be nice living in these homes as they are seaside, but in walking distance to the city portion of Manly. At the end of walk you arrive at Shelly Beach which is a pleasant beach that is more secluded than the larger Manly Beach. It is also covered in trees so it has an island paradise vibe to it. If you are looking for a relaxed beach, Shelly Beach is a good spot. While Manly Beach is the main attraction in the area, this beach walk is nice too as you can get an opposite side view of Manly Beach. The rocky shores and rock wall formations in the area also are reasons to take this walk.
