Rude. Racist. Gaslighting. Unprofessional. Sexist. Kept insisting my dad whom I was visiting in the hospital was my husband. I would avoid this place but unfortunately, I live in the area so the ambulance takes us here. Awful people, with no bedside manners. Down the hall in the emergency room, you can hear that they do not know how to de-escalate a situation, their patient are screaming in frustration and the nurses are screaming back at them. When I had a severe reaction to my medication a few years back I was brought to this awful facility. The stupid nurses tried to make me believe I was pregnant or had an abortion then threatened me with police to take my non-existent children away and put me in prison for child neglect and they convinced my mum. Like how? Did they see three wise men and a huge ass star in the sky? I know I'm asexual but that doesn't mean I have to produce by myself or have a cloning machine. The only reason I had to go to that hospital was because at the time I was suicidal and my medication wasn't helping me with my schizophrenia episode. The job agency from Centrelink sent the police for a welfare check and the cops called the ambulance. Absolutely horrible place. read more

I'm not sure to what extent this is a problem with Liverpool Hospital, or a problem with hospitals in the state of NSW in general, but in an emergency, I would definitely not want to be here. My mother had just received severe burns on her hand (second degree, I believe they were), so I rushed her to the nearest hospital, which happened to be this one, and we were made to wait for five hours. Five hours, with my mother in agony, can be a very stressful experience. Luckily, they were forthcoming with the painkillers, and she downed a few handfuls of some topical painkiller like panadol or nurofen, which didn't seem to help much. In the end, she finally saw a doctor, who referred her to a burns facility, and bandaged her hand. Surely a doctor wasn't needed to bandage a patient's hand! Surely an orderly or a nurse could have managed that herculean task! Not impressed. read more

Would give zero stars if I could. I was airlifted here last year with a suspected spinal injury and was shocked by how bad it was. I had a cannula put in for a blood sample, then it was taken out again, only for the next nurse to decide I needed one. He was so bad at it that he had three attempts before switching arms and just left the other one hanging out of my arm, leaving me to take it out. Slightly before the second one had been put in, I had to go for a scan and the nurse is supposed to wait for you so that the people doing the scanning know where to send you back to. He just wandered off instead and I got yelled at by the radiographers because my nurse was AWOL. Then they discovered I had the wrong nameband on (not even the correct gender). Then the nurse connected a drip and I went to sleep (it was late at night). I was woken 5 hours later (they never checked on me despite a head injury) and got told off for not realising I was allowed to go home. Oh and the drip hadn't been connected properly. TL;DR? Never ever ever go to Liverpool Hospital if you can help it. read more

ZERO stars for this hospital for the below reasons... (1) the general wait time to get to reception to explain your situation is too long. (2) to be seen in the clinical section is too long a (3) and to get to actually see a doctors can take a few HOURS why is all the hospital system the wait time is so long in the emergency section... STOP THE COST CUTTING and PUT MORE STAFF ON TO ACTUALLY HELP PEOPLE.... read more

Does not even deserve a 1 star rating with the disgusting attitude and treatment we were given by two nurses in the Gynaecological Ward. My mother was a patient and understands very little English and while I understand it may be frustrating to deal with non-English speaking patients, this should be another reason for them to be more compassionate towards the ill and sick. I was appalled with the way the nurse was speaking to my mother, asking her questions and expecting an answer when she doesn't understand, AND then becomes frustrated when my mother doesn't answer. If the nurse really cared, she would've called a family member to help do some interpreting but instead, she told all visitors to leave while she did a checkup on my mother behind the closed curtains. I was very uncomfortable with the nurse around and I plan to file a complaint so that no such thing should ever occur again to another patient. read more

This place is a death wish. How many people in the news actually go here and survive?? immigrant doctors with poor English skills at best. Lacking skills and proper doctors. I wouldn't wish this place upon a dog read more

Absolutely appalling. Initially the move into ED was swift and well managed. The ED nurse cannulated my husband and left the tourniquet on him, the blood went everywhere he then walked away left it on. I had to remove it. With a brain shunt fitted and very bad pain he was moved to a ward I won't mention and given no further pain relief, until he questioned this at 02 am. Last meds at 17:30. The nurse stated he had no pain relief written up. Is'nt that when a telephone order is used or the on call Dr contacted . I telephoned the ward at 05:40 am. The nurse told me not to call at that time and hung up. We are Private and attending this Hospital for emergency treatment only. Not impressed one bit. Complaining today read more
