This place is where you want to go if you need physical therapy or adjustments. Dr. Zamboni is kind and very professional, always ready to uplift and do the best he can to serve his patients. His team is sharp and very competent. The environment is very pleasant and clean. I have only good things to say and deep gratitude for what they did for me during these challenging times of pandemic. It was the worst time to have lower, mid and neck pain. I had a car accident 2 1/2 ago, right after birth and my right hip moved causing many other back problems. The massages were so perfect to help to dissolve the muscle scars. This review has been a long time coming and honestly, I've had a lot of mixed emotion about writing it because I don't like bashing small businesses, but I feel completely taken advantage of and am saddened at the shady billing practices and integrity of this business. I was in a bad motorcycle accident last summer and started going to Living Well (I'm honestly not even sure how I found them as my memory of last summer is pretty nonexistent) for physical therapy for my knee and a severe head injury that I obtained after being hit. With the severity of the TBI (traumatic brain injury) I was dealing with - I should have been referred elsewhere - to someone who was better equipped and had the resources to help with my head injury. Being that I was pretty out of it most of the summer - I didn't see anything necesarily "wrong" with the treatment I was receiving but I was noticing over time that the "treatment" I was receiving did absolutely nothing for the cognitive issues I was having (and still am). Looking back it was complete negligence on their part. They had me coming in 3x a week for months and I saw little to no progress being made in my cognitive function - yes I was more coherant and I was able to move my neck better than when I first came in (thank you for that) but nothing was done for my severe head injury that would actually warrant me coming in as often as I was - except for of course, to rack up a massive bill that they would later come after me for. I'm going to assume most people aren't informed in all of the technicalities of accidents/insurance and how you are billed in light of these events (I wasn't and they knew this). On your vehicle - you have what's called a PIP policy (personal injury protection), when you are receiving medical treatment post accidents - all of your medical is billed through this policy and everything is 100% covered until your policy runs out, then it is billed through your regular medical insurance. After about the first month or so, the receptionist started to let me know that my insurance wasn't paying them out - which I found odd because they were paying out all of my other visits no problem (chiro and neurology visits). I asked my lawyer to speak with insurance in regard to this, as I was not legally allowed to communicate with them during an open investigation. We finally learned that Living Well only attempted to bill my insurance a few times (I would like to add - based on what we are able to see from my PIP ledger) over the 3.5 months I was receiving treatment and I racked up a $7200 bill - that should have ALL BEEN COVERED through my PIP policy. So when my PIP policy ran out from all the appointments I was going to (about 5-6 a week for all my care providers for months) they started trying to get me to sign paperwork to get a chunk of my settlement money (which the fine print, my lawyer deemed as unreasonable and advised me not to sign). What does this mean for Living Well? They get more money if they wait to bill me directly instead of insurance - about 2x more according to my lawyer. On top of all of this - they sent me a card THANKING me for sending them part of my settlement money - that I deserved to keep after almost having my life taken and months of PTSD that I had to work through. I would NEVER recommend this business to anyone, I am saddened - I really liked Dr. Z, he seemed like a nice guy but I feel sick, I feel completely taken advantage of. My experience here was awkward and disheartening to put it bluntly. I had received a free session and exam at a winter function and was impressed with some of the staff, so I figured why not? Might as well get some sessions in and try to relieve some nagging back and shoulder issues - so I scheduled some time. The visit seemed to go well, lots of good people working there and nice equipment. That wasn't the issue of my visit, the issue was what transpired in the waiting room while I was in the back getting ultrasound. The Dr. went out front to talk with the staff at the front area and unbeknownst to him the person waiting in the front was my wife. Doc was overheard giving direction to book me so many sessions per week and that "not much we can do for him but it's slow and we can get some good billing". They then saw a lady sitting there listening and according to her - looking rather surprised - and quickly moved the conversation to the room behind the reception area. I never went back. Take it for what it's worth, they really do seem to be able to do good work there and have some great knowledge in place. I was just put off by what was overheard and hope it was in jest or taken out of context in some way shape or form, but I doubt it. read more

I tweaked my back at the gym and needed some PT to get things back in alignment. Dr Z and staff to the rescue! All of the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Moved to Bend during my PT recovery from ACL surgery. "Eeny Meeny Miny Moe" for finding a new PT office to continue my care... Very pleased with Dr Z and his professional and friendly staff. They not only got my knee to full extension, but have helped me with my neck problems too. The office is very small which I found nice compared to past PT. There are only 2-3 patients in the office at any time which means hands on/personalized care. Dr Z listens and plans my therapy according to my concern that day. Every minute of my session is filled with supervised care. I have to laugh when I am instructed to take the last two minutes of my session to do lunges or monster walks down the hall on my way out of the office for the day. read more

I have been injured a lot and been to a ton of physical therapy places over the years. Doc Z, Doc B and the whole staff have been great to work with. I had a pretty tricky arthroscopic surgery on my hip that didn't go as well as I'd hoped. The whole team at Living Well Physical Therapy, helped me work through the post-surgery complications to the point where I can almost function at the level I need to. They came at it from all angles from helpful exercises, in office equipment/technology I'm not going to pretend to understand, and even massage. On top of that, they gave me the tools/exercises that will help keep me preserve what we accomplished moving forward. Also, I love the convenience of gym next door to get into more real exercises as my recovery was progressing. I'm sure there are many great PT places you can go to but what really endeared me to Living Well is the small, personal and very positive atmosphere. They seem to attract people that really want to get better and I looked forward to getting in there to fix a very difficult injury. I have been in physical therapy for years. After moving to Bend my wife discovered Living Well Physical Therapy and signed me up for an appointment. The staff are very pleasant. Scheduling is a breeze. I have to say that Dr. Zamboni was able to assess my overall condition and provided a path forward for my overall health in a few short visits. After working with Dr. Z for awhile he recommended that I join their Wellness Program and receive regular massages. I have visited numerous massage therapists over the last 20 years and have to say that Anna has been the most competent. Anna maximizes the time while staying focused on my overall health. She is able to release muscular knots in as little as one visit. She always provides recommendations to allow further healing while at home between visits through specific exercises and stretching. I wish I could rate this company for 10 stars. I was the unfortunate recipient of a crippling lower back and ruptured disc injury in the middle of January, 2022 and immediately started seeing these amazing people. Before having an MRI, Dr.Z was the ONLY doctor that, after examining my x-rays was able to spot my ruptured disc (normally impossible to see on an x-ray) after multiple other doctors saw and said my back was fine. After having very negative experiences with many other PT companies, I was blessed to somehow land at Living Well's front door and immediately start my treatment. Dr.Z and the rest of the amazing gals that help run the place (who's knowledge is unmatched) truly and genuinely care about YOU! They have all continuously gone way above an beyond every visit from truly trying to get to know you on a personal level to going through the business headache of obtaining different equipment specifically for your type of injury (even if they already some) and making your time there as memorable and as beneficial as possible. This business makes YOU a priority. The treatment, the care, the family feeling and even the emotional support I've received here has been an experience that trumps all other businesses out there. I think this is place is capable of, and in fact does help a lot of people recover from injury. I think their bonus system they have in place, rewarding 5 star reviews; and constant nagging text message/ emails to "rate 5 stars" makes there overall rating a bit gimmicky. Which is partially why I am giving one star. Other reasons to my one star review include; Dr Z seems to have a bit of a temper when things aren't going as expected. Such as after having my back popped by him I was in severe pain that I did not have before. I felt ignored until getting frustrated and saying "am I just going to be left with this new pain?!" He then showed me an exercise to relieve the pain. Another instance which is driving my review is an appointment I had which started with "So what did you do at home to misalign your hip since you haven't been working since I saw you last". Long story Dr Z adjusted my hip, and within the duration of the rest of my appointment, it had misaligned again. Which sent Dr Z into ANGER for having to re-align me again that same day. I will spare the comments he had made to me. Last reason I will provide here, I called to cancel an appointment due to other obligations, they offered me an earlier appointment that day at 2:00pm. I showed up and filled out ppw and was sent back. I was greeted with a harsh and snarky "umm go ahead and wait up front Mikeala" like he was so confused as to why I was there. I left, never to come back again. I understand mistakes happen, communication is lost, etc. I have been forgiving of this practice. Not knowing how to fix my injury, or why it keeps recurring. I've forgiven the snarky, upset attitudes when I am merely a patient of the practice. I've left in more pain than I came in multiple times. Overall I have experienced a great deal of healing, but I'm on the search for a new physical therapy practice after a couple too many incidents with Living Well. read more

After hip replacement surgery I went to PT 3 times a week. Each time I was given exercises, electronic and cold pack treatments, and, my favorite, massage. The swelling and my ability to move improved every day. At my 6 week check in the surgeon said I was in the 1 percent for recovery. I have had the extreme pleasure of going to LivingWell physical therapy for the past three weeks. During my healing journey of the past seven years I have seen six physical therapist, seven doctors and been on numerous pharmaceuticals including injectable medicine with virtually no relief for my complicated and chronic neck pain. From the very first day I entered the care of living well physical therapy and met an extremely knowledgeable and professional front office receptionist named Nick, and then met Dr. Eric Z, I felt a sense of relief that I had finally found someplace and someone that was willing to listen to me and had enough expertise, experience and sensitivity with a lot of tools to work with; a fantastic masseuse named Tabatha and a very diverse amount of techniques and treatments. I felt such hope and encouragement. The office is run efficiently and during the recent snow and road conditions, the doctor took care of getting transportation via Uber so I could make my appointment as I was very reluctant to drive myself. I have been in the healthcare business for 45 years and know what good customer service is and the value of having a professional team that exudes sensitivity and concern and a true desire to be of service to others. Dr.Z is Amazing!! The whole staff is Amazing!! I first started see him in 2012. He taught me a lot about my body and its structure. I was in a bad accident 25 years this July and also had been a Bridal Consultant for 12 years. Thru all that and more I have become very familiar with chronic pain in my neck, shoulders, back, hips. He pointed things out about my pain I never realized before. I had so much pain I was suicidal at times, thinking how can I live thru all this pain? With the treatment of exercises, massage and knowledge , and his belief in all my pain I am still alive today...I am very grateful for him and how he cares for his patients like me. I know I got a lot going on physically and sometimes think I am his problem patient, even though he never treats me as such. Some of us get lucky and with treatment our pains go away. Some of us just arent as lucky but, with the right treatment and Dr. on your side like Dr.Z we learn how to decrease some of it and learn how to manage our pain better.
