On arrival, Roberta & Beppe were super warm & made you feel welcomed. There were two of us staying, we each had our own bedroom with ensuite bathrooms. There's a balcony for each bedroom & for the living room/dining area. There were snacks, water, tea & coffee spread throughout. We opted for bed/breakfast and, boy, were we glad. Beppe is a chef & will have your breakfast made to order. We had fresh fruits, made to order eggs, fresh local produce, cold cuts including smoked salmon/cheese, fresh juice and fresh breads both sweet & savory. Roberta checks in with us everyday to see if there's anything we need or if anything needs to be altered to breakfast. There is an elevator to transport your luggages. The location is very safe & convenient - the famous market San Benedetto is next door (see my review of the place, closes by 1:30 PM), sandwich/coffee shop on the street level, grocery & laundry shop nearby. Old town & harbor is about a 20 minutes walk away. We were very sad to leave & we would definitely stay again without hesitation.

The room is comfortable with a great queen-size bed. The shower gives new meaning to the term "hotel shower." IYKYK. The breakfast is one of those huge European buffets with an amazing assortment of pastry, breads, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, savory cheeses and meats, yoghurt, and anything else you can imagine. With waiters bringing espresso. Europe is in the middle of a heat wave and the air conditioning is scrumptious. Queen Margherita herself would have been happy to have this hotel named for her. (I'm going to overlook dowager Queen Margherita's support for Mussolini in the 1920s.) Extra credit: pizza margherita was named for Regina Margherita in 1889.

It's in between the historic district and water. Fun restaurants to your left and right. If you choose to explore the historic area,, I suggest getting a cab to the top and walking down hill to the hotel. Some rooms have showers and baths and some only have showers. The showers are fantastic. Spa jets, great water pressure etc. Rooms are clean and modern. Excellent international breakfast bar. Great service at the front desk and ok bar and restaurant. Limited drink menu. But great wine.

The room was spacious, and even came with a balcony. On the balcony there were chairs and lounge chairs as well. Also the roof has another patio deck with a shower on top which was pretty impressive. The morning breakfast was very carb intensive, also did not change on a daily basis. Only thing that was disappointing was the $10 euro for each beach towel for the duration of the stay, and for me slightly too firm of a mattress for my liking. The hotel is located a short walk to the Poetto Beach, which during the summer is overcrowded with teens and kids. It was our mistake to pick this beach during July, the staff were very friendly and if you are coming to Poetto Beach for the price and the free breakfast and good coffee this place is great. If you are looking for a resort where there's more opportunity to getaway from kids, you may want to consider another part of Sardinia. We picked this place because it was close enough to town wanting good Sardinian food. The bus cost us $2.60 euro round trip to and from per each person. A taxi was around $17 euro into town one way, and $31 euro from the airport one way. The best part was the service from Luigi, he has good recommendations and is very useful and speaks good English.
