It may be because she didn't remove the previous gel properly (she was very rough), or because she didn't use a proper base coat, just applied the color directly to my nails (when I asked her about it, she said she did apply one, but she definitely didn't). When I had it removed back home in SF, the nail technician asked me where I'd had them done and commented that was the polish was very very thick. It's now been a month and my nails are still completely destroyed. I've never seen them like this before--peeling and breaking off below the quick on every finger. I really don't like leaving bad reviews, especially for a sweet woman like Sissy whom other people seem to love, but this experience was just so bad that I had to let people know. Don't go here for gel. It was also stiflingly hot in the shop with no ventilation. The fumes were so strong that I felt unsafe just being in there.

The salon was not clean. It took over an hour and a half for a fill and a toe polish change. I asked for a certain fill service, and did not receive that. I was asked to go barefoot after toe polish change, and wash hands with a used nail brush. I haven't had an issue with lifting in 12 years, but she started clipping away, and a day after my service, I had breakage and lifting. SO disappointed, as she stated she has 24 years in the business.
