Part…read moreof the project required removal of a large fig ivy that was intertwined with the fence which was included in the pricing. The quoted price was competitive but not the lowest. Comparable projects take 3-5 days from start to finish. This project took three weeks despite good weather. They usually worked the job with one person. Sometimes they had two people working, far too little manpower for the job. They started work each day at mid-day, never early in the day, and did not have adequate tools and equipment to get this job done in a workmanlike manner. Each evening during the project, despite repeated requests to clean the site, they left the area scattered with vegetation debris, scrap lumber, dirt, rotten wood, nails, and general trash. We ended up cleaning the site ourselves, almost daily, to control the dirt, dust, and debris that surrounded our house. The pace of the work was too slow and the constant irritation of a seemingly unending yet relatively basic project made the experience unsatisfactory. This is ironic because the fence itself is a nice product and we like it. Had it been done within a reasonable time and in a workmanlike way, the overall result would have been much better.
