They do a decent job on their "do gooder" stories and have sponsored some excellent causes. They are doing better at featuring the east side of the district. They take up a lot of space for giant photos. Sometimes ads seem to make up more of the paper than the news. Business is hidden in the back of the sports section. Sadly, they are biased in general due to decisions 'at the top'. They lead "left" politically. They favor certain organizations and shun others. They make it a personal mission to put the local police and city commissioners in a bad light to stir up "news". They used to have a fabulous food critic regular piece-long gone. They have a section called "Insider" where they give tidbits of new businesses in the area but they reflect few when there are many--someone isn't thorough in their homework! Their online Ledger is pitiful probably the worst online "read" I know. You pay for it if not a newspaper print subscriber. It's so full of ads that shift the page or send you to another page in the middle of scrolling, it's hard to stay on and read an article. The scroll bar fades in and out rendering it useless half the time. It is often not up to date nor complete compared with the newsprint version. Reading obituaries on line is ridiculously complicated. The program also times out frequently. Wondering if they have ANY happy online subscribers. Online deserves ZERO stars. $85 for 3 months daily delivery is outrageous!

I know I'm a huge fan of fireworks, but they definitely are not all excellent and these were all great. I honestly loved these fireworks the best out of three. But there's always something. This one was the highest humidity but that's ok. It's that time of year. These fireworks were great. I did wish Lakeland didn't have the other markets in downtown and down the street from downtown. We had a great time at the Hispanic Heritage festival in Lakeland at Bonnet Springs Park! This event was family-friendly, and people from all cultures were in attendance. There were three food trucks (Tito's, Nineteen 61, etc.); a Selena Tribute band from Texas; activities throughout the day; and vendors selling mostly crafted jewelry. On the lawn, you're able to sit and watch the show, and there was also limited tables/ seating - under tents - available. My only reason for not giving this event a perfect five star is because I'd love to see it grow to add more food trucks and diverse vendors. Food trucks concluded/ sold out around 6:30pm... the event was from 12pm-8pm (with the main band on stage at 6:30pm). Looking forward to more events at Bonnet Springs!! I enjoyed this outing.

I got ahold of the owner Donald on 2-24-26 as i was frustrated about them trying to change the pricing, he decided to honor original pricing and throw in 3 services free of charge. They tried to remove some of the additional accessories and requests that were agreed upon. Craig, the salesman, agreed to let me view the boat at their Wildwood location when it came in from the manufacturer before additional accessories were to be installed. The boat arrived in Wildwood and then was transported down to Lakeland before being able to view the boat at agree time and location, Donald informed me this was his decision. I discussed with Donald how this had already been agreed upon with Craig, Donald stated 'it's your decision to come see the boat where it is, or sign the documents and we can start your boat.' The loan documents are signed. The boat is still in Lakeland. The boat has yet to be started. We are now being told that the boat still will not be done on 5-15-26, 13 weeks after said 3-5 week turn-around. They will not give me a date of completion or date of delivery.

While the sales process itself was polite and professional, I encountered an issue immediately after taking delivery--a visible gel coat blister on the port side hull that later cracked under light pressure. During the walkthrough, the issue was downplayed as "cosmetic," and I was told a 30-day limited warranty would apply. However, when I requested support, I was told the only way to receive warranty service was to tow the boat back to their facility in Wildwood, FL--over 800 miles round trip from my home in Pensacola. Despite providing photo evidence and a local repair estimate from a reputable shop, the dealership offered only $150 toward a $520 repair. I eventually accepted the offer just to avoid further hassle, but I believe future customers should know that warranty coverage may not be practical if you live outside their immediate area. The staff was courteous, and I appreciated the final payment as a gesture of goodwill--but ultimately, I feel the dealership should have fully covered the cost of a warranted repair, especially for damage present at the time of sale. Future buyers: do a very thorough inspection and get all warranty terms in writing before purchase.
