OSM gave me a turn-around timeframe of 3-5 weeks back on 2-13-26. they agreed to a price, ran our credit, then stated the original pricing was inaccurate and could not do it. I got ahold of the owner Donald on 2-24-26 as i was frustrated about them trying to change the pricing, he decided to honor original pricing and throw in 3 services free of charge. They tried to remove some of the additional accessories and requests that were agreed upon. Craig, the salesman, agreed to let me view the boat at their Wildwood location when it came in from the manufacturer before additional accessories were to be installed. The boat arrived in Wildwood and then was transported down to Lakeland before being able to view the boat at agree time and location, Donald informed me this was his decision. I discussed with Donald how this had already been agreed upon with Craig, Donald stated 'it's your decision to come see the boat where it is, or sign the documents and we can start your boat.' The loan documents are signed. The boat is still in Lakeland. The boat has yet to be started. We are now being told that the boat still will not be done on 5-15-26, 13 weeks after said 3-5 week turn-around. They will not give me a date of completion or date of delivery. read more

Caution: Incomplete Warranty Support and Communication Issues I purchased a 2021 Tahoe 450 TF from Old Salt Marine in May 2025. While the sales process itself was polite and professional, I encountered an issue immediately after taking delivery--a visible gel coat blister on the port side hull that later cracked under light pressure. During the walkthrough, the issue was downplayed as "cosmetic," and I was told a 30-day limited warranty would apply. However, when I requested support, I was told the only way to receive warranty service was to tow the boat back to their facility in Wildwood, FL--over 800 miles round trip from my home in Pensacola. Despite providing photo evidence and a local repair estimate from a reputable shop, the dealership offered only $150 toward a $520 repair. I eventually accepted the offer just to avoid further hassle, but I believe future customers should know that warranty coverage may not be practical if you live outside their immediate area. The staff was courteous, and I appreciated the final payment as a gesture of goodwill--but ultimately, I feel the dealership should have fully covered the cost of a warranted repair, especially for damage present at the time of sale. Future buyers: do a very thorough inspection and get all warranty terms in writing before purchase. read more

Horrible service with the salesman. Has no idea what he is trying to sell. Never calls back in a reasonable time. Never provides updates. Has not a single immediate response to questions asked by customer. Customer has to continually call to get information or email for info. Know what you're selling to answer customer questions about the merchandise or to actually provide the customer what was ordered. Also wouldn't hurt to check receipts of what customer ordered to ensure correct item was delivered. Instead of putting wrong item on customers boat that was at shop for over 3 weeks. HORRIBLE!!! UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Had more problems when I left there than what I came in with. Lathan (sales guy) knows NOTHING about boats and Mike the Mechanic creates problems to be fixed. They are an absolute Joke! Will steal the shirt off your back! Then when you call them out on things they screwed up, they try to fight you! I've truly never seen anything like It. This place is a absolute joke for a marine supply. They don't hire competent help, they quote you a price and just to get you in to do the work and then when you question the price the give you that is more than double they act like there is no way they would quote you that price. They don't carry anything as far as hardware. They will never get a penny from me ever again and I'll tell everyone I know not to use them for anything. Waste of real-estate. Whatever you do, do NOT use this company. They sold me a trailer that did not fit my boat. They 100% knew what type boat I had. They had the specs on the boat. The trailer with my 8k pound boat came off the hitch because the trailer did not fit the boat. I could have died. The trailer slammed into the back of my boat and caused over 3k in damage. Old salt marine refuses to take blame for this and is refusing to pay for the damages. I am having to hire an atty. They will not stand by their product. Do NOT buy anything from them. read more

Stay VERY far away from Don at Old salt marine. He is your best friend until he makes the sale.Then when your NEW boat starts having one problem after another because of all the corners he cut he will delay work.cut even more corners and smile while he is screwing you.We had to be towed in several times and once barely made it in and that is a new boat imagine a used one.He will not accept any responsibility for the problems even when several boat mechanics stated that they would not have sold a boat that was not safe like this. I have a Nitro boat took it there for a tune up and clean it since it had been sitting for more than a year. They told me it would be two to three weeks before they could check it out. I waited three and a half weeks since I did not receive a call and gave them a call to check their progress . They told me they have been busy but should get to it soon. Long story short they had it six weeks I had to call each time to check on their progress. The last time I called George told me it was done so I picked it up the next day. A little over 1300.00 I brought it home a couple weeks later took the boat out cranked right up I was happy. Backed it away from the dock pushed the throttle up and it died. After several more try's to get it on plane, nothing. Called them back up took the boat back they said they would look at it. They called me within a few days told me my alternator was bad and it should still be on warranty and I should take it to a Mercury dealer. I took my boat to a dealer in Winter Haven they called me every time they found something. Come to find out the boat had one recall and they replaced my fuel pump and had my boat ready within three weeks. If you are having problems with your boat don't take it to Old Salt Marines on highway 98 north Lakeland Fl. 1300.00 for a good wash and clean seems costly. Regards read more

I am very disappointed with the service that I received here! I went in to buy a fuel hose connection for a Suzuki outboard. They did not have one, but ordered one. I ordered the correct size. When it was ready for pick-up, it was the wrong size. The salesperson stated, "It will work, just use two hose clamps. This is what we use." I tried to argue my point, but the salesperson insisted that it would work. Of course, when I put the connection on, it did not work....at all!! I ended up eating the cost because you cannot return a "used" fuel line connection. read more

This is one of the most unprofessional companies I've ever felt with. I am a really reasonable guy and my experience here was terrible. My wife ordered her fathers boat cooler though this company who took her payment and said there was one in stock. We had to come 6 days later(today) to pick it up and without any call and about 30 min of waiting, I was told "sorry it must have not got ordered and the cooler was discontinued. I said what do we do know, which she in turn tries to beat around the bush and bullshit me with out ever saying sorry or having any other viable options for my father in laws Christmas gift. No recommendations or nothing.. I wish I would have read the other yelp review to realize what type of company this shit one is. These people are worthless, ate up soup sandwiches and need to find another profession bc there is nothing professional about there podunk company and employees which I think is 2 or 3 people. Not good. Customer service and quality of workmanship do not exist. They only want your money and are interested in the one time sale, not repeat customers. I bought a used boat from them, my first boat (20 ft center console). Issue 1, I asked for a tiller steer trolling motor to be installed and they installed what they wanted, the more expensive remote controlled one. Issue 2, they did not bother to through bolt the troller and it snatched through the fiberglass on first use, issue 3, the troller got mounted almost in a 90 degree angle so it sticks out off the side of the bow and catches every piling on every boat dock, issue 4, I asked them to service the engine when I bought the boat and they didn't, I ended up having another dealership service it and all filters, impeller, etc. were worn out/old/dirty causing a high water alarm to start sounding, issue 5, no one bothered to go over anything about the boat with me and acted like I was aggravating them when I had questions. This was my first boat after all. Issue 6, I had to ask multiple times to have the boat cleaned before I picked it up and when they finally did they did a half effort, issue 7, no one knew what was going on with my sale at any given time, (owner not talking to salesman not talking to office staff). I regret spending money with them. I have since been conducting my business with outcast marine and couldn't be happier. What a night and day difference from the "used car salesmamen" at old salt marine. read more

Think twice before using this company. I never post reviews, but I had to do it this time. They were weeks late in starting the repair and then stopped in the middle. They did not complete the job and I had to pick up my boat. There are always 2 sides to a story, but I must tell you that the manager is a hot head and makes knee jerk decisions. If I could have post a zero star rating I would have. I took my 17' backcountry flats boat in to have my carbs rebuilt and to check all the warning alarms. When I got the boat back, I took it to the ramp and tried to start the boat whichran but not good! then I noticed fuel in the water and the smell was strong. After hauling the boat back out we discovered fuel leaking out of 2 of the carbs. So had to take it back. The next trip out The boat would run great until you drop below 1000rpm's when it would start misfiring. During the trip on lake Parker we encountered some thick weeks trying to get to lake Crago. Thats when I started smelling something burning and heard my engine come to a grinding halt. It had overheated so bad it froze up! No warning alarm horn or nothing. After speaking with the owner Don he told me he was sure that the alarms worked when the boat left his shop just like the carbs. So I took the boat to Winter Haven Marine and they went through the boat. The carbs had not been adjusted. and the alarm connection was corroded and could NOT have worked like Don said LOL what a bunch of lying losers. You want a good job done go to Winter Haven Marine because old salt will F&*(K up a wet dream! read more
