We had an OUTSTANDING experience at the Wilmington, NC LL Flooring store. We were looking for flooring to complete a new bonus room and Eric helped us make a great choice. Initially we were looking at flooring that was more expensive, but Eric showed us other options including the one we eventually chose which was LESS than what we originally wanted, and it was not only in stock but actually worked better for us overall. I can say that my experience with them was pleasant from the start. We just happened to be looking at flooring that was going out of stock and got a great price. The workers that showed up did the living room, through to the dining room and master bedroom. Started at 8 am and finished around 4 pm. If you doing a flush style flooring, meaning no riser between the tile and flooring, make sure they know that. They do "outsource" the labor part of the project. Lucky, my wife speaks spanish. They did leave a dimple which they fixed soon after. Would use then again. read more

I had never been in a showroom before and it was MUCH smaller than I anticipated. They did have a lot of samples on display, but most of them were so small you really couldn't get a good idea of what it might look like on a floor. We were just there to check the basics so it wasn't a big deal for us, but it was still disappointing. The prices did seem decent, but similar flooring we were looking at over at Costco was cheaper yet, so YMMV and be sure to shop around. read more

This one star pertains to the customer serice over the phone. Called at 10:30 AM and was told that I would receive a call back shortly. Waited an hour and called again at 11:45pm and was put on hold for 15 minutes before being hung up on. Called back again and the gentleman said he was the only individual there and could not answer my question. (I was only asking if there was a floor jack in stock). Again, he took my number down and said he would call back soon. 4:45pm rolls around and I FINALLY got a call back. You know how long it took for them to answer my question? Less than 45 seconds. The manager (Jack?) should feel responsible for only putting one person on staff and not being able to supply the ample amount of bodies to provide adequate customer service. Waiting until the last 15 minutes until closing to get a response and know whether or not a store has a part that was necessary 6 hours earlier as we were redoing our hardwood floors is unacceptable. read more

I am writing this review because I got such outstanding customer service from Danielle at the Willington, NC store. I had trouble to say the least with the .com LL customer service, but I contacted the local store and Danielle went above and beyond to resolve our problem and in the process kept us as a long time customer. Danielle is an outstanding employee, and if she is not already a manager or a candidate for one, she should be. It got frustrating dealing with the LL .com people, but the Willington store takes care of its local customers to the point where you feel as if you are dealing with a local small business rather than a huge apathetic chain. After searching online for white oak flooring that was damaged from Hurricane Florence, I found the most reasonable and similar product to be with Lumber Liquidators. I am entirely pleased with the wood selection, the price, and the service I received. I admit that I had some trepidation in dealing with such a pricey item, but the whole experience was terrific. The floor looks beautiful and matches the rest of my house perfectly. I was even able to return an unopened bundle with no problem. Thank you for such a good product and such good service. read more

So, let me be clear upfront - the product I received was good. The subcontractors LL hired were terrible. First, NOT ONE of the three men who arrived spoke English well enough for me to communicate the most basic questions or requirements. Next, they left black oily marks all along my baseboards and walls that smeared when I tried to remove them. I asked them to go around the house and clean it, and all they did was leave black smears in their place - I will have to repaint much of my home. Also, they arrived around 10:00 a.m. the first day, asked if they could stay as late as they needed to in order to finish in one day because they live far away, and seemed perturbed when told them they needed to leave by 6 p.m. (maybe halfway done) because I refused to have three strange men stay in my home late into the night. Additionally, they cut corners on the shoe molding (literally!) - instead of ensuring the corners met well and were actual corners, they cut ugly, rough edges. Since I purchased LVP, the only cutting tools they had/used were straight edges, which do not work to cleanly cut shoe molding. I tried to find as many as I could, but they only fixed about half the corners I pointed out, and I have found several more since. When they left, they left garbage, gum, and pieces of carpet in my lawn. By the way, they scraped up a chair and then played innocent when I pointed it out. WORST of all, when I called my "customer service rep" with Lumber Liquidators Wilmington, they completely abdicated responsibility for THEIR subcontractors. They did offer a $75 credit for the $475 chair (Huh?!), which I have yet to see. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is that the flooring material itself is gorgeous and was well-priced. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE! If you purchase materials from them, just go to Angie's List or something and hire your own folks for installation. Better yet, don't reward their bad behavior - find your materials someplace else. read more

If you're looking for flooring, this isn't the place to get it. They're very much snakes. I went in around March 18 to get some flooring. They didn't have the one I need and said they would have to get it shipped directly to my apartment and would be there the following Tuesday. I paid the extra money to have it delivered like they said. Tuesday came, nothing, by Thursday I reached out only for them to tell me I wouldn't get it til Friday. I reached out on my way back from being out of town and told me it would be an additional week. I needed the flooring by that Wednesday, the 30th. I asked for a refund and they told me to come in "to discuss it". I came in and was told that I had to wait. When I stated that I never got the product and wanted my money back, which they gave another excuse, blaming FedEx. I got another type of flooring while there and asked if they could use the money they owed me for part of the payment. They told me then that it just couldn't happen because it was a separate payment. I went back on Wednesday/Thursday to ask for a refund again and was given a different reason. I'm still fighting with them to get my money back for a product I never received. I would highly recommend going somewhere else than with this location. read more

We have purchased flooring for at least five houses from this store and I am placing two more orders today. They have a great selection of products and great prices. We have rehabbed 24 houses in the last two years and we seriously shop for this stuff. Every employee we have encountered has been professional, knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. We will keep coming back. If you don't like this store, you probably haven't shopped for flooring very much. And yes, they might take good care of us because we are regular customers. But we expect this and if they didn't treat regular customers well, we wouldn't shop there. read more
