If only I had just gone to Lloyds instead to open my account because now I can't be bothered to switch over! ~ Atmosphere: There are a few ATMs outside and the inside is pretty small. I can imagine it getting crowded in here often if there happens to be more customers waiting. ~ Customer Service: Why this place gets 5 stars. Every time I've dropped by the customer service is really friendly yet extremely professional such as Barclays. When it gets busy, there's constantly staff around trying to make sure everyone gets seen to so your experience is as quick and painless as possible. Normally, when I make a deposit into an account, I like using the counter instead of drop-box because I want to double check that the cash is going into the right account. A man came by to teach me how to use the drop-box once, but I decided to stay in the queue for the counter. I sheepishly apologised to him letting him know that I just want to ensure the money is going to the right place but he made me feel really at ease and told me that it's important that whichever method I choose I'm 100% comfortable with it. --- Maybe in the future if I stop being so lazy I finally make the switch to Lloyds because my experience with them so far has been wonderful!

I used to frequent the one in Broadmead which tends to be a lot busier but then discovered this little branch. I've never had to queue for more than a couple of minutes here, and staff tend to be friendly and efficient. Definitely worth a go if you're with Halifax.

There are a few till points, which can get busy, if there's a rush, but generally you will get served pretty much instantly, and the sales advisers are helpful and friendly as you would expect. The interior of the bank isn't the most spectacular, it's pretty grey, grey and grey all round. There are two or three free use cash points outside, which is useful to know, as a lot of places on Gloucester Rd, Stokes Croft area can charge nearly £2 to take out money!

I really like the service Halifax offers, they will try and let you know immediatley how long it will take you to be seen, and there are always enough cashiers working so that the queues are never to long. The instant cheque deposit machine is pretty cool as well, that's always fun to use!

My bank of many years, this Clifton branch has treated me well. They're pretty sharp at getting people to the desk to bring the line down, though. All in all they have my endorsement as espite my ability to repeatedly lose my card, lose my bank statement, and forget my pin number, they've unfailingly managed to help me out. If they can look after me competently they should be able to handle most customers. This is a bank so keep your wits about you. They're only to happy to sign you up for a credit card (particularly if you're soon to be a student), and when the friendly looking advert says 'Lets talk about mortgages' don't get pulled in. A good bank but a bank nonetheless.

The branch has an external cashpoint and there is also a disabled access available is you have access difficulties. The branch is fairly small in size but you always get a nice welcome. There is a welcome desk and another desk in the banking hall and someone is normally available should you have any queries. There are usually three cashiers serving and whilst there are ocassionally customers queueing, they try to deal with them as smoothly as possible

This is a very small branch of Nationwide Building Society. There is only one desk, so you can…read morequeue quite a bit. They offer all the services cash point outside and inside. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is nice to go to somehwere that is small and personable. It is well located in the centre of town so very easy to pop in during lunch time. They also have a machine inside the branch to deposit cheques and money, this could save queueing. I think if it got to busy then you could waste half your lunch time in the queue. Maybe go to a bigger branch if to busy.
