Horrible customer service. Even though it was at a higher cost than where I previously ordered stone from I ordered from this company after I found out it was owned by a friend of a friend, I figured Id rather give them my business. The stone that was delivered was the wrong stone, I was told there was nothing they could do. No offer to make it right in any way, mind you I wasn't asking for a refund and I planned on buying more stone from them. Nothing, not one attempt to make it right in any way on their part. Then to add insult to injury a bunch of employees and Im assuming family members attacked my husband on facebook following his review. Again not one attempt to make it right but tons of attempts to make it our fault. I guess we just didn't matter to them being a personal order instead of a big company order. We were warned about their lack of customer service but against my better judgment we ordered from them, lesson learned. Fyi Buffalo & Orchard park topsoil is cheaper with faster delivery. read more

We have been having some drainage issues in our backyard and decided to put in a French drain which we needed quite a bit of stone for. My husband was able to call and set-up a date and time for stone drop-off right away. They gave us about a three hour window of time but texted my husband the day of the drop-off to inform him that they were loading the truck up with stone and gave an estimated arrival time based on that. This was a great added benefit so that we could be sure we were at our house and prepared for them. When they arrived they knocked on the door, provided us with a receipt and paperwork for our records. Unfortunately, we live on a narrow street and the driver was having some difficulties getting backed into our driveway due to someone being parked illegally on the street. He tried about 10 times but then kindly came back and knocked on the door to inquire about the car and even offered to knock on a few neighbors doors to ask them to move their car. We ended up finding out who the car belonged to and had it moved and the driver was able to easily back in and drop off the stone. I couldn't ask for a better transaction and nicer people, we were very pleased with their customer service and will undoubtedly use them again in the future. read more

Clearly well organized business and they know what their talking about. They have natural cuts, saw cut, colonial, flagstone, peebles, mulch, in a Huge assortment of colors and textures for any project you have. I can't review based on delivery/work because we didn't even make it that far. Their customer service is less than impressive. I was looking at large boulders on the website and called to get a quote (referencing specific items on the webpage). I am looking for 5 large boulders and crushed 1in. stone for our driveway. The guy I spoke with brushed me off and said "you just needs to come out and pick what you want" Seriously?! I am referencing specific items on your website. Since when can you not give a quote for crushed driveway stone over the phone? I live in the south towns and am not going to make a special trip to Alden for something that can be given over the phone. Will be looking for a more helpful and customer friendly landscaping company to work with. read more
