We had Coomber construction come out about four years ago now when Mr. Cuba owned the company and…read morehe gave us a quote of $30,000 to put a three car carpool attached to our house. We left it a few months and then we called back and said can you come over and start the work well I'm being known to us. Cobridge sold the company to a guy named Zack Brooks, but still keep the name Coomber construction. He he came out the first time to look at the job and said he would send his engineer out so the engineer came out gave us a bunch a bunch of BS about how it would look and what it would be only to find out that he neglected to take into consideration the grade he got the position of the columns wrong three times. Which had to be taken down and moved .Not k owing anything about building garages ( apparently neither does Zack Brooks ) we let them carry on thinking they would make it right completely the wrong decision his. This was our first time hiring a contractor for anything his subcontractors with the exception of the roof roofing contractor Suncoast roofing did an absolutely garbage job on everything they touched. The garage floor looked like my grandchildren had laid it and had to be sanded grind down and skimmed three times and looked even worse than it did the first time we ended up just having shark coatings come out and doing it he wanted to charge me money for leftover materials by the roofing contractor that we're in that he left on the driveway but my wife moved back into the garage to keep it out of the rain. He said if you want to keep that will charge you $5000. My wife said we don't want the wood take it back and give us a refund well we never saw the refund. This man is all about overcharging under performing and just generally not having any idea what he was doing the only time he turned up at the job site was to pick up a check unfortunately I was out of state working so I wasn't able to keep a good eye on what he was up to the driveway. He charged me $4000 for looks like crap so he sent his guy out to fix it well they brought two more loads of crushed millings to fix the grade put the quality of the mailings are so awful. There are a chunks in there as big as my head during their excavation for the stumble they dug up the waterline because they couldn't be bothered to call call before you did and cut through our waterline which ruined all of our shower, faucets and valves, etc. inside the house which cost us $750 to have a plumber come in and clean them all out. His contract sign was left lying in our yard 10 months which really upset the inspector from the government building inspector.. It was just a litany of awful, awful, awful awful experiences. I wouldn't advise anybody to use this company. I can show you photographs of what happened and my advice is don't use this company. Find a reputable company. My overall opinion of this man is incompetent a rip off artist and only interested in getting money out of his clients not doing the job properly. Just as a footnote the job ended up costing us twice as much as we were initially quoted so angry. How do people get away with this crap and how do they get a contractors license?

He loves what he does and it shows on the details and the passion he pours into every job. He also has a lot of experience as he has been doing this work since he was a teen. He is a craftsman. My first job with him was my kitchen, done in natural cherry back in 2011. Completely custom with desk and bookshelf area. Then he did a large entertainment center to match the kitchen cabinets in the adjacent family room along with a small outdoor kitchen cabinets a couple of years later. In 2021 he did a huge painted maple wall unit for my husband Legos in our bonus room which came out amazing. He did my brother's kitchen in painted maple. He turned a small tiny closet into am amazing pantry by removing existing door, opening up the sheetrock and installing a cabinet with pullouts and shelves all the way to the top. He took care of the sheetrock work and the door, etc within my brother's budget. Then he helped him find the quartz he wanted at a very good price as well as the installer. Currently we just put a deposit down to get our 2 masterswalking closets and linen closet in our master bedroom as well as a bathroom vanity in the kitchen style for a bath next to it. He is patient, he dedicates time to you so he can understand what you really want and he does his best. He likes to help you with stone for your counter tops and sets you up with others that can give you a deal because of him. Because he is really busy you have to wait for your turn and sometimes you have to be patient if for whatever reason the job ahead of you becomes delayed. But he is worth the little wait because he is like I said excellent at what he does and affordable. The following are photos of kitchen as is now 13 years laters plus the other projects.

OH MY GOD! what a beautiful job they have done in my house. Custom cabinets, worth the Investment. It's better quality, durability, and must important, is a personalized design, built to my exact specifications, making the space truly unique. I started with the laundry. They did an awesome custom made cabinets to meet exactly my needs. The second project, was my garage. The custom built-in design in grey was impeccable. The seamless wall of cabinets hide everything in the garage (my husband tools, big christmas boxes, everything). The garage looks organized and beautiful. My next project was the master bedroom closets and the children closet. Finally, they re-do all my rental apt (kitchen, baths, bar). The major benefit of custom cabinets is the ability to design unique and customized solutions that perfectly align with my style and requirements. I can see the beautiful craftsmanship and attention to detail in every project they have done. Recommended 100%.

I had known from the first contact with S&W that this would be the company that would be doing my Reno. Chelsea was my designer and what a fabulous job she did designing the perfect master bath. Robert was my project manager and was wonderful as well keeping me updated on what would be happening at each stage of the Reno. Anyone who entered my house was very professional, did the job they were assigned to complete. Job was completed in the time frame they had given me. I was also able to use plumbing fixtures from another source with no problems as well as the closet system. I highly recommend S&W as I will be using them for my next job coming up soon. On June 13, 2025, we signed a contract with them. Work began July 21, 2025. They finished on May 26, 2026. The contract stated that it would take 4 months, possibly 5, to complete the project. It took them 10 months to complete. There was a total of at least 15 weeks (a week being 5 consecutive working days, i.e., Wednesday through Tuesday) where NOTHING was done at the house. Prior to beginning demolition, they required a total of 60% of the contract to be paid. At the end of demolition and rough-in, which took 4 weeks, they required a total of 84% to be paid. Then they wanted payment for the project to be substantially complete and usable prior to the installation of the glass shower walls or the master being usable. That would have been 95% of the contract. The supervising contractor stated that he would not have the shower glass installed until they were paid. I sent his boss a copy of the Florida legal requirements for being substantially complete and usable, and I also hired an attorney. When it came time for the final walkthrough and final payment, they didn't want to provide us with the Affidavit of Contractor's Final Payment, which shows if there are any subcontractors who have released their lien and those that haven't been paid and how much they are owed prior to receiving the final payment, even though we had the right to have it according to our attorney. Then, when we received the document, it was a "waiver and release of lien upon progress payment."
