Mark was the only one who came in and really took a detailed look at what was going on before we settled on cost and the timeline to have the work done. He finished my home in 4 days! Everything in my home looks new and better than I ever expected. This was an insurance claim and the hot water heater itself was not covered under the claim. Well, not a problem because he not only bought me a hot water heater at no additional cost to me but he also arranged to have it installed (no cost to me). Obviously he was more than fair and treated me with respect. He listened when I told him what floors I wanted and took me to pick it out. The same thing with the different paints I wanted. I cannot say enough good things about him and his business. In the future I plan on having him do the work that I will need. We engaged in a major 5 1/2 week project in July. We had the guys here 5 days/week working on the outside of our house. They replaced all the facia boards on our cedar-sided home (very high prows on front and back) and repaired rotted cedar boards in places. They are accommodating, and were very respectful of us as homeowners. The job was completed on time. Montez Construction worked with New Effex Painting (they re-stained the entire house). And it now looks like a brand new home! We highly recommend this Contractor.

No, no no! Don't trust this guy! Two years ago he met with my elderly parents and entered into an…read moreagreement to do approximately $7,000 worth of work for them. They gave him a $2,000 deposit. Within days they cancelled the agreement. He met with them only once, did not buy any materials (his admission) but refused to return the $2,000. At one point he told me he would refund $800 (didn't make any sense to me.) He was not very nice either... "go ahead and file a claim." Finally I had to file a complaint with the state board that licenses and regulates contractors. They told me he was grossly in violation of the laws and if he didn't refund the $2,000 to my parents he would face criminal charges. Sure enough, soon thereafter he refunded the full $2,000.
