I've used Loadstar Movers twice now, one to move in town and another to move up to the Bay Area. Not only are the movers quick to do the job, but they were very careful and making sure everything was stored safely and stowed properly. Joe (owner) was very quick to respond to my emails and made sure that the movers know where to go, how to contact me etc. and coordinate with me on the move. The two gentlemen that moved my furniture from storage, were polite and mindful of furniture, making sure to secure those items that weren't protected against nicks and dings. ABSOLUTELY FIVE STARS. We used loadstar to move from Goleta to Thousand oaks area. We asked for a quote and got a response right away and Joe even set up a time to come take a look at the two bedroom one bath apartment. He is professional, friendly, and effective. He brought along a woman to also help assess our apartment as well as offered her packing skills to add to the package. We did not end up utilizing the packing, but she gave some great tips (keep clothes on hangers and wrap in blanket!) I would say we did a good job packing everything into boxes and preparing to make the movers have an easier job. The day arrived and the movers were on time and ready to go. We had a townhouse style so there were stairs, and the two movers were FLYING up the stairs two at a time and bringing down several boxes at a time. They were so quick, careful, and friendly. We bought breakfast and lunches for them and let them know to take a break, but they wanted to finish the job first and eat on the drive to save us time and money (so nice of them). They finished loading the truck in 1.5 hours and we were off to drive. We drove for an hour and a little more, and arrived at the new place and they were even quickier unloading. The movers were very considerate and asked us where we'd like everything to be unloaded. Our final payment ended up being lower than the original quote and we were ready to pay over that. Joe is honest and does not have hidden fees. Overall, we had a great experience with LoadStar movers and if we ever move again (hope not soon) we will be utilizing their services. A few weeks ago I bought a piano. I've never owned a piano before and obviously had no idea nor thought about how to go about moving a piano.. After I paid for it, the previous owner asked me how fast I could get it out of his house. I then realized I was screwed. I tried to budge it on my own but no way. I told the previous owner I would get back to him after he again stressed he needed it gone. I called Loadstar movers. Very glad I did. I got Joe the owner on the line around 5 pm. Needless to say there was a a truck there the next morning. I met the guys at my house as they unloaded it and moved it safely into my house. The crew was unbelievable. The whole transaction was. I have used LoadStar twice for commercial/business moves (I am talking heavy desks, file cabinets and boxes and boxes of materials) and at least once for a large household move. The moves went so well, I can't even remember how many times I have called on them. Every time, I could not have wishes for a better experience. Moving is stressful and expensive. I could not have been happier with Loadstar movers. I've never hired movers before and wasn't sure what to expect, but from my first interaction scheduling with Joe to the final setup at our new home with Tyler, everything was absolutely ideal. Joe was incredibly accomodating with scheduling, first introductory phone call was a breeze, and everything was confirmed via email. Perfect, fast & efficient. Then came the actual move and, to be totally honest, I was in over my head and had no idea it was going to require as much as it did. My boyfriend and I were moving from a family home in Santa Barbara where 4 generations of his family have lived into a new, smaller place up in Solvang. We were only taking what we really needed and were leaving the rest at the house so family can still come stay there, visit, pick up anything they want, etc. What I thought would be an easy "Oh, we just need a few things" turned into a bigger project on that day and Tyler and his crew were friendly, accomodating, and helped figure out the best methods to get everything we needed. The first move was the best experience moving I have ever had. Team of 3 took great care of my stuff and moved with urgency even though I was paying by the hour. The second move was a terrible day for me personally as I had everything go wrong that day EXCEPT for Loadstar. I am so thankful that they were able to keep it together even when I was a mess, was unable to finish packing due to an emergency, and got locked out of my new house.
