The seafood rolls were alright, but the clam chowder was so so good! The brioche rolls were very buttery, but I don't think the seafood was fresh. We love this place, the lobster rolls you can get "classic " or "Boss" that has 50% more meat. Lobster is cooked to perfection slightly salted and a seasoning on top, slight mayo. I hate mayo so I left if IFF of mine, you can taste the lobster more. Comes on a typical buttered/toasted split top warm bun....delicious! They also have shrimp and crab rolls. They have lobster bisque and New England clam chowder, both are good. Lots of clams, creamy and tender potatoes. They also have salads, topped with lobster in a vinaigrette or a crab cake topped green salad - I have not tried these. They have various sides from crab cakes, baked beans, slaw and side green salads. Grilled cheese for the kids if they don't like seafood. Service during Covid is order at the front, get a number, sit down and they'll bring you your order. They do have beer and wine here too. Whoppie pie for dessert. Lobster!!! Lobster roll is great here. It's pretty much just chunks of lobster and a little bit of mayo spread in a toasted brioche bun. Super delicious and without all the other seasonings that other places put. 1 lobster roll is enough for one person in my opinion but there are combos where you can add sides. You order at the counter and they bring it to you when it's ready. I wish they did half buns because I also really wanted to try the shrimp and crab rolls... They don't have a customer bathroom but make sure you get clear instructions how to reach their employee one if you need it. Shared a boss lobster roll and the soup trio yesterday, both excellent. Being that I rarely treat myself to one of these figures the 35 dollars for the roll was worth it. Very simple lobster- fresh, sweet, tender and delicious. No fancy sauce or seasoning to interfere with the simplicity of good lobster meat. It really sits on top of the roll, so make sure to lean over the toasted roll on that serving plate carefully as not to drop any! The trio of soups were all great. They come out nice and hot too which is actually so simple, but hard to find hot food served hot these days. The bisque was my fave. I always make sure each bite has a good lobster to bread ratio, (this is serious business) and when I got to the end I still had chunks of lobster left over. I also got the lobster bisque and while there were no chunks of lobster, it was flavorful enough to make up for it. They were friendly, made great suggestions (I couldn't decide if I wanted clam chowder or the lobster bisque), and the lobster roll was packaged in what seemed like an earth-friendly container. The freshness of this crab is next level good and the softness of the roll and the buttery flavor is also next level. Years later and I'm still coming here for lobster rolls. We came here a few weeks ago and got the family meal, which was seriously worth it! It comes with a lobster roll, crab roll and shrimp roll, baked beans, cole slaw, and 2 bags of Cape Cod chips. You usually get 4 sides, but we opted to get two different bags of chips to make it 4 sides. We also got the whoopie pies and it reminded me of home, of New England. If they had Nantucket Nectars available, it would really feel like home! The meal was delicious and honesty, we didn't need to get a kids meal at all since the food fed 4 of us and we could barely finish it, it was so filling. The whoopie pies are huge, so get 1 to share between two people, we got 2 for 4 of us and we could barely finish it. The one thing I really like about this place is that you can opt for your lobster rolls to be warmed up and I love that they have claw meat in the rolls, so you know you're getting Maine lobsters and not Mexican lobsters with no claws. The lobster rolls are my mom's favorite and we stop by every time she's down from LA to visit.

All I can say is you will not be disappointed with this place. You get what you pay for a quality is worth every penny. The lobster rolls are so yummy... the meat is fresh, tender and super tasty. I also love the lobster bisque. My family and i have come for years and even though we moved about 15 miles further away we still make our way to the coast and enjoy the food. We did have a little issue when we came after they reopened after Covid and so i reached out to the owner and was promptly responded too..... well the customer service was just as good as the food. Not only did they want to make sure what happened not happen again they wanted to make sure we would be coming back and wanted to make sure to have the chance to fix the issue. Well they did just that and so I felt it was most important to sing them the praises they deserve. Do yourself a favor and stop by this little gem and enjoy a tasty meal, promise you won't be disappointed. Oh and the food was so good that I forgot to get a picture before eating it! read more

Bread is buttery, crispy on the outside and softish inside. Lobster, shrimp, and crab are all fresh and delicious. Not overly seasoned with butter, mayo, or Old Bay. They put just enough to accent the natural taste of the meat. I opted for extra meat on each Roll which is highly recommended. Makes it a tad expensive but 100% worth it. Your mouth, tummy, and soul will thank you. Crab cake and Maryland crab soup were also delicious. Lobster West is located inside the Windmill Food Hall towards the back. The menu is pretty small but traditional. There are 3 types of meat to choose from: Lobster, crab and shrimp. My order consisted of: Shrimp Roll + Boss upgrade (50% more meat) - $14 Two sides: beans and a bag of kettle chips - $3 When I first got the roll I thought it was overflowing with shrimp stacked on top but it turns out the bread pocket was closed up and empty and the shrimp was sitting on top of it. So I guess it wasn't as boss as I thought it was going to be. After opening up the bread pocket to stuff the shrimp inside and make it more manageable to eat, you can see the inside is lined with mayonnaise. The sides of bread are buttered and cooked to a crispy perfection on a grill. The shrimp visibly had a seasoning on it but I didn't taste much of it. And much like a traditional lobster roll, the shrimp in this roll was cold. The roll isn't huge but together with the sides of beans and chips the meal is pretty filling. Cost-wise I thought the roll is on the expensive side considering the size of it and what you get. However, everything inside the Windmill Food Hall is already expensive to begin with so the price of Lobster West compared to its neighbors isn't that bad. I'd consider coming back to try the lobster and crab rolls in the future. read more

Ordered our food for pickup, they gave our food away to a random Grubhub delivery person for some reason.... Also the food was not delivered primarily because my wife who placed the order does not have a GrubHub account. Lobster West refused to replace our order AND refused to refund us. The staff did not even apologize. The staff and manager told us we would need to call GrubHub to get a refund, then place ANOTHER order... so I didn't get my food, I was charged $97.17, AND I had to fix their mess up.... Terrible customer service, thank you Lobster West for wasting over an hour of my time. I vsited Lobster West after a day hike and split the Main Event (full lobster roll, shrimp roll, and crab roll) with my fiance. It made for a fairly expensive lunch (almost $50 with no sides or drinks), but was very tasty. I wouldn't recommend that someone order the shrimp roll, as the shrimp did not look fresh/local. However, the crab roll was good and the lobster roll was to die for. If I ever return, I'd like to try their Lobster Bisque and/or Clam Chowder. It's cool that they have a flight of soup.
