Most institutions, if they pay anything, it's about 0.5%-1%. Sooo ... this is another reason to bank with Lake Michigan Credit Union. She said she would get back to me. 2 weeks go by and I called and left a message for her. I am pretty patient at this time but how long can she need? Another few days pass and I speak to someone who says she is not in that day but she would have her contact me. That was early September and never any follow up while she has copies of my marriage license and grandmother's death certificate. From their website page for that location, Manjola is the bank manager. I have serious questions if the bank manager didn't know how to process what has to be a pretty commonplace request and also is not concerned with follow up. Although Prudential cheated me as I left by selling my positions w/o my permission, Schwab has proved to provide the perfect choice for me, given my Investment strategies, and level of knowledge. Now, I use nothing but ETF's. In 2022, I broke even, when the S&P was down almost 20%, and the SH inverse S&P ETF was my biggest profit-maker! As I approach my 75th Birthday, I've achieved a 13X, that is, multiplied my NAV by 13 times, from its low in March of2009! Never could have done that with either of the prior 2 firms.
