My buddy and I wanted to fly down to Florida and do some fishing and a friend of a friend…read morerecommended these guys, so even though we were staying in Daytona we made the 90m drive down at 5am to fish with Fired Up. We had horrible weather that cut our trip short, and the fish just started biting right when it was time to leave, but I do not hold that against them as they can't control nature. We did catch our limit of kings, couple Atlantic sharpnose sharks, and three remora. Lost two kings. We went out with Captian Zach on the Under Fire. He was a cool dude who found us some big fish and kept us out longer than all the other captains due to the rough seas and incoming weather. I'd definitely fish with him again. For anyone wondering how to fly their fish home, it's pretty easy. Publix down here sells dry ice for about $1.50/lbs. You can have a max of 5.5lbs of dry ice in your checked luggage, no "water" ice allowed. Buy a $7 styrofoam cooler from the marina, put your fish in it with the dry ice on top, fill with bubble wrap so it doesn't move, tape the cooler shut and then wrap with bubble wrap, pop a "vent hole" through the bubble wrap and cooler, then throw it in a box and tape it shut, and put a note on the box that says "Contains Dry Ice" and TSA will let you check it with any airline. I looked and looked for a business that would vacuum seal our fish and freeze it, and pack it for us to fly home and I couldn't find one. Captain Zach was happy to fillet our fish for us which was awesome and convenient. I'd have paid extra if Fired Up would buy a company vacuum sealer and let the captains seal it up in two pound portions hint hint ;-) Fish keeps so much longer in vacuum bags not that this is gonna last very long as we will eat it fast. We will definitely be back for more fishing in the future.

When Chris answered the phone, he didn't have anything, but shortly called and told us he could get us in that evening. Our kids were beyond excited (2- 11 year olds and a 17 year old). Captain Zach was amazing! He told stories of his experiences out on the boat, answered questions and taught our kids some tips and tricks. I would highly recommend!

The captain (Ian) is very knowledgeable and able to tell us exactly what we can and can't keep and has been doing this kind of stuff pretty much his whole life. He found us some great spots, and went above and beyond during the trip. Highlight of the trip was when he helped us snag a large bull shark! They were great about telling us what we needed to do, but letting us actually do it. We actually hooked a second one, but it ended up snapping the line on that one. They filleted what we caught as soon as we got back to the pier and we were able to get it cooked right away at the restaurant at the pier, and took home the rest of what we weren't going to eat. This was my first experience deep sea fishing. This was, by far, the best fishing trip I could have asked for and set a VERY high bar for any future fishing trips to follow in the future.

Our tour guide was very informative and it was great to hear about the area and learn things I had never heard of before. The staff was friendly and great with the small children in the group. They also had a cooler with water and Gatorade for passengers. We saw sea turtles, dolphins, red fish, and many native birds. They also had a fish tank and woukd let the children interact with them. I would recommend this to anybody from out of town or any local resident. Lots of information for any age group. They were also very helpful to a group member who got sea sick. A+ in my book! Looking forward to going on the fishing charter they have!

How have I not finished my review for this awesome experience with Captain Scott? Because I…read morestarted on Trip Advisor and forgot this one (forgive me fellow Yelpers, Scott deserves love from both sites!). OK, I could write for hours on how great the trip was, how on top of things Scott was and how many big fish we caught but I think you get the idea - it was a great day! We reserved Captain Scott's services for an outing over Father's Day weekend. He dropped his nets and hat us bait fish in no time flat and then we were off. No sooner than he dropped a line in the water for us, we were pulling up a nice big Rainbow Runner. Over the day we caught our fair share of fish and I was eating Cobia out of my freezer for weeks. If you're wondering how much different a charter boat is from a "party boat" like the Miss Cape Canaveral and Orlando Princess, I'll put it like this. One of my catches on the Charter boat had more meat than ALL of the fishes I've caught on over 10 outings on those party boats...combined! I'm spoiled now and I'll most likely never step foot on anything but Scott's boat for charter fishing now. When we mentioned who we went with around other fishermen, they all knew Scott and told us we picked right. Everyone Knows Scott, it seems. Tips: Bring your own cooler, drinks and food. Bring some sunscreen and a hat Captain Scott's got the rest I truly have nothing bad to say about the outing and I have already booked him for the Saturday before Father's Day 2015 so back off, it's mine!

Some people are afraid or allergic, so he doesn't automatically bring him. We're dog lovers and Tank was the deciding factor when looking at the different options. It was an extremely pleasant trip. We booked a half day which was goes way too fast. Definitely recommend a full day if your time and budget allows. The dock is easy to find and there's plenty of parking which made things easy. After getting out of the channel, our first stop was for bait fish. If you're not an experienced fisherman or want to bring the family, Scott makes it very easy and sets everything up. So, on the first stop, we were dropping the line with light tackle and immediately getting hits of two fish per line. Not much of a fight, but it's like a full day of porgy fishing off Long Island condensed into 15 minutes. We filled the live bait well with about 20 sea trout and a couple of croakers and moved on. No need to go on and on, but we hit the limit on King Fish and got a Bonita. The bigger king Fish and the Bonita gave us a good fight and took some time to get in the boat. Tremendous fun!! Highly recommend.
