The store was neat and clean and the guy behind the desk helped me immediately find what I was looking for, and wasn't pushy or abrasive as I decided to browse afterwards. They sell everything from menorah candles (at least I think they were menorah candles...) to much more unique things (wtf is male garlic?!) Plus, you can get a metric buttload of incense for like $3 in case you're into that sort of thing. I was told it is not their policy to offer refunds unless they make the mistake, adding they were " truly sorry". Needless to say I won't be shopping at The Spice Trader again. Online shoppers beware. UPDATE After a week and six emails back and forth they gave me a refund, saying the order had been returned to them. I don't think I would have received a refund if it hadn't. Altogether it was an unpleasant experience.

I was lucky that Taste of Belize set up their booth at the Hot and Spicy Festival I attended last weekend. They carries the whole line of products from Marie Sharp's (Belize) and of course I can sample every single one of them which are all made from Habaneo peppers. Price wise are really reasonable too, $5 for 150 ml bottles and the small samplers are great as gifts. I hope my friends won't think that those are shots..... Of course my favourite is the Beware Comatose Heat Level Hot Sauce...Just a few drop would have do the trick! Just make sure you don't rub your eyes!!

The Village Olive Grove is a gourmet extra virgin olive oil and vinegar shop that imports from all over the world. There we learned how to tell if extra virgin olive oil is authentic and how it's made. We also learned how to taste vinegar without the acidic flavour getting in the way. Just when you think you're a foodie, you learn something new! Love it! Last, but not least, we sampled Mapleton's Organic Ice Cream. It was flavoured with dandelion. It had a mild mocha flavour. Pretty good! We all looked worried when he said it was made with dandelion, but were all impressed. The owner is very knowledgeable and will allow you to sample any oil or vinegar in the store. The prices are higher than grocery stores, but you're here for the quality and you will definitely get it!
