My gf raves about this place so I was excited to try. Luckily, it did not disappoint!…read more We came around 5pm on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy but guests started pouring in soon after we were sat. I've been craving drunken noodles (with chicken) since forever, so that's what I got. My gf wanted the khao soi sauce but in yellow curry form (with chicken) so they were able to do that for her. I was also hoping to get some mango sticky rice but unfortunately they didn't have any ripe mangoes on hand. They give you a great portion as you can see from the pic. I was however, able to finish it all in one sitting....but I also wanted to explode after because I was so full lol. It didn't make sense to take home the little portion that I had left....so I forced myself to eat it all lol. The noodles were nice and soft and had a great basil flavour. The medium spicy was just the right amount of spicy for me. The drunken noodles also had a fair amount of chicken and veggies. No complaints. My gf's moderated yellow curry was sooo good! So much flavour and ton of spice. The consistency was perfect. Not watery and just the right thickness. I would defs get this on a different visit. Service was prompt and very friendly. No complaints there. Can't wait to go back and try their pad thai!

This gotta be one of the best Thai restaurants I visited…read more Georgetown Thai is exploding with authentic dishes, seasoning, friendly staff and a very nice setting. Located in the heart of Georgetown, you will never get tired of their menu items. I get excited when my parents tell me they're gonna cater from this place for dinner. The best simple item on the menu has to be the coconut rice, unbelievable amount of flavour in it, you can eat it on its own. Just beautiful. The pricing may be a bit steep to some but it's the standard cost now for food, I highly recommend this place in Georgetown. There's too much fast food in these small towns!!! Do yourself and your body a favour and buy from here!!!! 9.3/10

We first tried Choy's take-out at the suggestion of a friend who lives in town. Not really sure…read morewhat to order, we decided on the standard "safe" options, and then experiment with something new. Ordering from their menu was easy, and they promised it in 20 minutes... Sounds good to me! We arrived to pickup and it was ready and waiting for us. I thought I did my math wrong, as the price was less than expected. Turns out they have a 10% discount for pickup if you pay cash. I'm not complaining! We brought the bag home, and it smelled great. Sometimes you get that oily deep-fried smell, not here... It smelled so good, we wanted to eat it during the drive. Finally home, we unpacked and noticed an extra... Chicken wings... I didn't order those... Odd, everything else is here though. (Turns out, you get free items if your order exceeds certain price points.... that'll teach me not to read all the menu). I appreciated that, in addition to the plastic containers, they also bagged any items that were liquid and could leak or spill. Plus the extra cardboard pieces so things would not get crushed. That's some attention to detail that I have never experienced from a take-out place before. Usually I get home with a sloppy mess or a soggy bag. Their Lemon Chicken is the best I've ever had. Good portion of chicken with just enough breading. We now order a double portion and save the leftovers. The beef with diced vegetables and almonds is also a hit, along with the Curry Beef. It has just the right amount of spice. If you are a tofu fan, try the braised bean curd with garlic sauce. I'm not big on tofu, but was pleasantly surprised by that one. We like to try a new dish with each order, but those are some of our favourites to date. We haven't ever tried their sit-down restaurant, but it looks decent enough. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is fantastic, and the prices are reasonable. No complaints here!

If it wasn't close the high schools this place would have shut down quick. There are many better options in Georgetown, like yongs or house of Buddha. The spare ribs were dry and when we asked if we could get more sweet and sour sauce she straight up said no. They make people pay first, so already it's like they don't trust us. Except when you're above 20, you get to pay after. It's awful treatment of youth.

A week prior to the event, there was no communication when I attempted to reach Beata via email or phone. Just three days before the event scheduled day, an email arrived in my inbox stating the event will be canceled due to Beata is ill. I don't know the circumstances but I knew it left me scrambling finding someone else to do the event in just three days during the busy holiday weekend. It was truly unprofessional. What is more unacceptable is that until today December 24th, my thousands of dollars of deposit paid still haven't be refunded. I emailed and called and texted with no answer. The only one email I received was to tell me to be patient. I am a small business owner myself and want to support woman business owners but I will not recommend doing business with Beata and KasaKozak. l regret trusting them for my important event.

A great banquet hall is worth its weight in gold, and it was a true surprise to visit Carl's, a…read morelocation that I really wish I'd visited before now. You know you're in for something good when your bus driver hears the name of the restaurant being mentioned in another conversation and says, "You'd better try the roast beef." Despite being situated near the edge of the city, in a part of Brampton that's within spitting distance of Oakville (basically, farmland almost everywhere you turn), there was no shortage of people here. I attended a book launch for Mayor-elect Patrick Brown's new book, and wasn't surprised to find out that the place was booked overcapacity. Walking in an hour before the event, I wasn't entirely surprised to find that the space was already set-up, with cards featuring fancy writing adorning each seat, free pens (FREE PENS!) and massive floral arrangements at each table. It may not be the biggest event hall/wedding space out there, but if my view of the grounds were any indication, this was already an extremely-beautiful and compelling site for a small-scale wedding or social event. Of course, there was food served at the event. While a handful of the back-line cooks looked like they'd rather be somewhere else on the few occasions they came out of the kitchen, that certainly didn't impact the quality of the food. Mini-samosas and the fabled roast beef were on-deck, with a chef cutting off giant strips for hungry guests and offering to make mini-sandwiches with horseradish and other toppings. I admit that I didn't get as full of an experience as some of the other guests, as I had to eat quickly considering the schedule of the event (people were being served just as the presentation on the book began), but I don't hold that against them. They also had what appeared to be an open bar with multiple featured cocktails that night, but I simply settled on some coffee, which was about as ho-hum as it gets. Maybe they could spring for some dark roast next time. I contemplated giving this a 4.5 out of 5 and rounding down, but I felt that the experience was enjoyable enough across the board and the site is so compelling that it deserved the top grade. If you want quality and an intimate space, this is the place for you.

Our guests were all very impressed with absolutely everything - the food, the drinks, the music, the decorations inside and outside - but what they were most impressed with is the incredible service. All of the staff were so helpful and full of energy, and truly went above and beyond for every possible request that came up. You were very accommodating with all of our little activities and decorations, and we are so thankful that you made sure the night went flawlessly.   A special thank you to: Melissa and Veronica for helping to prepare everything leading up to our special day. Bino, for setting up the outdoor ceremony for us, even though it was a little bit chilly. Jerome, Carol, and Norman for their great work in making the night so memorable.     We would recommend Carl's Catering to anyone who is looking for a special location that is different from the typical hall style wedding. The charm and love that comes from Carl's is truly one of a kind. It is also very helpful that they have packages which include the invitations, cake, decorations, DJ, etc. It takes a lot of stress out of the planning process.   We are so happy that we chose to have our special day at Carl's Catering and we will forever remember the wonderful day we experienced.   Thank you!
