I contacted them because of good reviews and an appealing website. I told them right at the beginning that it was for 40 people and I wanted desserts only. They sent me a price sheet (listing multiple items sold by the dozen). I called with a few more logistic questions and the rep told me "we don't sell just a (a = one in my world) dozen of anything," so when I sent in my order I ordered two dozen of multiple items. She never said I could only order ONE item for that small of a group. I got an email back saying "Thank you so much for your time, but I don't think that we will be able to accommodate this." More than a week has gone by since initial contact and now I'm back to square one to find a caterer in Toledo who can provide excellent desserts. Their food might be great - I can't attest to that. But word-of-mouth is a caterer's livelihood, and I simply cannot sit back and not make others aware of poor customer service.

My husband's number one priority for the reception was good food, and he has very particular tastes. We were very pleased as were our guests. The pork loin with a balsamic raspberry glaze was the absolute favorite of the night. We hardly had any leftovers, but this venue did allow us to keep what leftovers we had (provided we supply the take home containers). 2) For a wedding/ catering venue, I thought the price was fair. The best thing, though, was that there were absolutely no hidden costs! I have seen venues at friends weddings decide the day the bill is being paid to tack on a couple extra hundred or even thousands of dollars with some bogus claim; none of that happened here. The venue was very upfront and direct about all prices and there was nothing hidden in the fine print. 3) The staff was wonderful! The owner and I met several times and she was very attentive to what I wanted while still being aware that I was a bride on a budget. Her staff was great as well. On our wedding night we had to have a hall attendant as well as two bar tenders, plus the serving staff and they could not have been more helpful and friendly. 4) The venue is gorgeous on the inside, and they have a recommended decorator who will work with budgets and make sure the bride gets something beautiful. If there were any draw backs I could mention, I would say that the outside of the venue isn't that pretty (outdoor pictures here probably wouldn't work that great). Really that is all I can think of, though. Perfect Party Catering is highly recommended by myself and my husband.

One caterer we contacted in March for our Sept wedding suggested we contact them again 2 or 3 weeks before our event. HCC was a welcome change of pace to work with people who had the knowledge and patience to work with us on our schedule. The amount of food they suggested (we served appetizers during our reception) seemed to be about spot on. I can't give a detailed review if the food because I didn't get a chance to eat much of it. But what I did eat was great and I heard mumblings of good things from our guests. But Jason was very helpful in getting everything set up during our event, making our food lines look great with the use of some extra linen, columns, and various boxes or something which added height along the buffet line.
