I try to give businesses fair reviews because we all have to make a living. I will state my experience and you make of it what you will. Reached out this company and a few others because I lost the key the lock on my shed door. They were the company that was able to get here same day which was important for me on that particular day. The customer service over DM was good and prompt.. in-person not so much. He arrived past 6pm ( fine everyone should get a grace period). He knocks on door.. doesnt say hello... just "uh locksmith". Ok fine.. he's here and he'll take care of the shed lock.. which he did. I then asked him to check the locks on two of my doors. He fixed the front door, but the side door was not fixed. Although the door looked locked... you could actually just push it open from the outside if the padlock isn't locked... big no no. I reached back out and relayed this to him...we kind of go back and forth on the date due to my schedule and his. On the day we both agree he says he gets a flat tire so cannot make it. I said you know it's okay, I would like to request a refund on that door instead. He takes days to refund my money which should have been approx $60 to 65 and through Venmo mind you... so as quickly as I had sent him his money, he could've done the same. He was aware of what the refunded amount should've been because then replies with you'll have a refund tomorrow. I have to reach back out about the money. He sends $45. There's a shortage. He states refund due to temporary fix...hmm. no. All this to say, I personally wouldn't hire him again. Also, let's normalize businesses saying "hey, this is actually out of our scope/ ability/knowledge" instead of taking someone's money when they know it's out of their scope. read more

Gary quoted us $65, likely to get his foot in the door. When the project parameters changed on-site, the professional thing to do would be to say "Hey, let me tell you how this will change the price." Instead of doing that, Gary proceeded on, then charged us $185. We expressed our discontent that he had not talked this through but he didn't care, and even asserted "What, are you leaving me a bad review now?" I suspect this is his regular way of manipulating. I had first given this review 3 stars but after the persistent negativity, i am lowering to 1. It is astonishing how little self-awareness some people possess. "Expecting a negative review" says it all. In response to the comment, i said "perfect" not "excellent" (being cordial) after i manually adjusted the lock for him so he could finally screw the lock straight on the 3rd attempt... And, i checked my camera: it took ~30 minutes (not 15) to finish the job, after arriving nearly an hour after our scheduled appt. ******************************************** Def a bit socially awkward and more than a bit rude. Garry didn't arrive on time for our 9 am appointment, or communicate that he would be late, or provide an ETA. At about 9:45, he had apparently already arrived and left after waiting ~5 minutes. I give him a call back, saying i didn't hear or see him, and he enumerates the things he did to try and reach me. After i tell him he was late and that i don't have time to sit by my phone for an hour waiting, he slightly backpedals claiming that he wasn't trying to argue - this is when he feigned that apology mentioned in his comment. When he arrives, despite my efforts to be cordial and converse, he continues to retort in monosyllabic, stone-faced responses and a belittling tone. I wanted to get my locks changed to feel safe around antagonistic personality types from a (male) former tenant.
