I'm so happy we stumbled into this amazing shop while visiting last fall. This type of retail store is my favorite: full of locally made items, sparkly shiny things, and something for everyone. I had a blast browsing all the shelves and we bought a card and some stickers. They had a huge selection of super fun ornaments, ranging from a bottle of ranch to La Croix cans to a bowl of ramen. If I could be sure they wouldn't get broken in my suitcase, I probably would have gotten one. Other highlights of this shop include a huge selection of fun and cheeky cards (my favorite), a wall of silly socks, and even some apparel. They have lots of kitchen/houseware items, sassy oven mitts, cocktail mixers and treats, candy, stationery and pens, games, toys, books, great selection of items for kids, jewelry, and even more! I loved this shop and would definitely stop in again and again if I lived in the area. They have six locations throughout the city so check them out!

What a wonderful delight this little shop is! We were wandering around Williamsburg looking for fun and stumbled across this storefront rife with intrigue. We just had to go inside! And, oh were we glad we did. We instantly wanted to purchase everything in the store. Immediately upon entering the shop, there is a sizable collection of greeting cards. I am a huge proponent of the witty card, and Lockwood is replete with them. Further investigation of the shop yielded even more discoveries. A fabulous selection of candles. Sundry Brooklyn and New York ephemera. Books for kids. And best of all--- an altogether wonderful selection of socks. GLORIOUS SOCKS. I have never seen such a bevy of fun designs. My girlfriend bought me a pair of dumpster fire socks which are now personal treasures. Oh, and the shopkeepers are super nice. Check it out!

This will surely be the best gift shop for me this year. Something for everyone, for any occasion. And stuff for the gift giver as well ;)

I do not normally post reviews but I felt I had to. In reading all the negative reviews I have to…read morestrongly disagree. I have been there with family and friends shopping for flowers, plants and herbs for quite some time now. I have never experienced any problems or issues with the store, employees or management. What I have seen is disrespectful, entitled and downright belligerent customers yell, swear and make everyone around them uncomfortable. The staff kept their composure and tried to de-escalate the situation. If you want beautiful flowers, plants that will survive and herbs that are fresh. This is your go to place. Family owned businesses need your support. Please shop local and be respectful of those who are doing their best to survive in today's economy.

Before I start my review, I should preface that most of my reviews on Yelp are related to going out…read moreto bars, cheap eats, fine dining, etc. so take what I have to say about a flower shop with that taken into consideration. That's not to say I don't frequent flower shops. I do. I pick up plants for myself and pick up flowers for dates, my mom, my grandma, etc. It's just that it's not in the same frequency as saying going out to eat and therefore am not as knowledgeable. That being said, I picked up some roses for a birthday. I was fairly satisfied with my purchase. The flowers were fresh and smelled nice. There was a good selection of plants and flowers. The service was quick and friendly. The place itself has a very mom and pop establishment vibe to it. As I noted at the beginning, I don't have as much experience buying flowers as I do say a good slice of pizza so I don't have as much experience in terms of the basis for comparison, but if I were in the area, I would definitely come back to get flowers for another occasion.

Greenpoint Floral…read more Nick and Greenpoint Floral was the best random thing to happen to our wedding. I say random because we had planned to order flowers online from Costco and another site and to do most of the flowers ourselves. Our venue was Greenpoint Loft and after a visit we wandered into Greenpoint Floral just to pick up some soil. After speaking with Nick about our vision the magic began. He has a great way of explaining things where he's educating you but making you feel good about the questions you're asking. Never feels like he's selling you anything you don't need. And he seems to genuinely enjoy sharing his passion for flowers. He never tries to force you into changing your vision for any reason, and makes you examples right on the spot. He actually took the initiative to recommend changes that would save us money but let us maintain our vision. We went from planning to do all DIY but the Chuppa to doing all Nick and only the centerpieces DIY. We're so glad we made these choices. Doing the centerpieces ourselves was really fun and he made sure we had enough and priced out each stem for us! He gave us tons of tips along the way to ensure we would be successful. He was quick to communicate via email and every time we met he spent almost an hour with us. I was blown away by the Chuppa flowers and the flowers he picked for my centerpieces were exactly what I envisioned. I still spent a lot less than the average cost of flowers in New York and had more than I imagined. I took home a Chuppa piece and made bouquets for tons of people, dried my bouquet, and pressed a bunch, too. I'm so happy to preserve these -- one my my favorite parts of our wedding. Thank you, Nick, for everything!!! We can't wait for you to see the pro photos! We'll be coming by in the future for houseplants and just to say hi!
