Awesome coffee shop found in the old Great Northern Railroad depot in downtown Brainerd. My wife wanted to go and check out their coffee flight sampler. Decent sized space that does a good job of incorporating the cool history of the historic building. The menu is diverse and offers choices for both coffee lovers and non-coffee lovers alike. The coffee flights are big - you get six shots of espresso per flight! Good flavors, unique but nothing too crazy. There is also a neat little gift shop with some unique gift items and a large selection of loose leaf tea available for purchase. Definately worth a stop! read more

Already can't wait to come enjoy again when I'm back in the area! I felt like I read somewhere that the workers were very friendly and I experienced that today as they made my kiddos feel important with high fives and asked them questions even amidst a busy atmosphere! This place is CUTE! The outside is just a preview to what awaits you inside. Lots of seating, was very impressed with how many options. They sell merchandise to peruse as well. I ordered 2 strawberry banana smoothies, a blueberry flavored lemonade, and a hot vanilla latte. All drinks were made in a quick amount of time and had rave reviews all around of how great they tasted. I really can't wait to come back and support this great coffee shop! Coffee was too sweet. It is cozy but overall the product was okay. There are better local coffee shops with more of a focus on coffee versus the sweet mix ins. The espresso had died so the drink was sweet and bitter. Cute location but given cost and substance I will skip it. read more

I do not recommend visiting this location if you are in a hurry, but if you have 20 minutes to wait for a good local coffee and even a slice of delicious cheesecake, you will be in luck. There are expensive knick-knacks to toil through while you wait for your order and usually a large group of people coming in and out at all times, even despite the short business hours. This location is unique because you can order a tea and take some home in bulk. read more

This shop is off the beaten path, but worth every step and traffic light to get here. It's extremely unique to the area and has a delightful Chip and Joanna style, housed in MN. What a super cool coffee shop. We ordered our drinks per the baristas recommendation and the drinks did not disappoint! We also shared an English muffin with Canadian bacon on it which was soft and yummy. The decor inside is very cool and gives off a "hipster" vibe. This is such a cool place! The decor is eclectic and fun. They have a great selection of teas available to sample and order. Their coffee syrup flavors seem to be a broader selection than many franchise coffee shops. Then there are the bakery temptations and unique lunch menu items. Worth the drive off the beaten path! Our "Fluffy" coffees - as my husband calls our occasional Mocha Lattes - were made perfectly. Great atmosphere, with friendly staff. Reasonably priced, well rounded menu of both bakery items and fresh fruit dishes. Awesome coffee and a wide variety of other hot and cold beverages. This place is the perfect picture of the Brainerd Lakes area, it could be in a travel flier. There are sofas for lounging, but also a large table for groups. They also have games in a cabinet in the corner. Cute boutique items. I really love this place and will be back. Great place to spend an afternoon or lazy morning. read more

My boyfriend and I traveled from a few hours away to Brainerd for a surgery but needed a place to work for a few hours. When we walked in we were so impressed! The atmosphere is chill and relaxing with seating, decor, gift shopping, and AWESOME playlist. I was able to try out the the menu but he was raving about the Americano and muffins he had:). We stayed for almost 5 hours and would highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere comfortable, warm, and welcoming. Loco Espress made our day so much better! read more
