They are doing something right and good here, so good there were 6 of us that ordered and I didn't even take a single picture of any of our plates because we devoured all of it so fast. The waffles are fluffy and perfect for sweet or savory. I had the breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheese, and bacon and it was the perfect. Another favorite at the table was the Elvis, one person even went back for a second helping. This place won't disappoint. Lots of tables outside to space out distantly and they are quick with minimal wait times. Coffee is great too! Highly recommend if you are in the area, we traveled 20 minutes even and it was well worth it. Love what this place is doing! read more

Stopped here while visiting family and was pleasantly surprised by the food and the vibes of the Iron Waffle. The parking lot was packed and despite a rainy day, the wraparound porch was filled as well. The eclectic table and chairs outside made the place feel even more comforting than the surroundings the restaurant sat in. With some chicken and waffles, a monte sandwich, and the goat cheese and honey waffle. All of them were tasty, but if I had one issue the food is that the amount of syrup and honey was almost cloyingly sweet. Would I go back next time I'm in town? You betcha! read more

Oh my god this gem... extremely fabulous food. Soo cute, lots of patio seating. Great place for kids to run around and play in the lawn. The staff is so sweet kind and they are attentive. Amazing customer service. Super clean on the inside and outside. Fun little gift nook if you want a keepsake from this adorable place. I laugh at the bad reviews on here. These waffles, I'm telling ya, are SO dang yummy. I don't know what they do to the batter but I wish I had their recipe! The reason they get a 4 rather than 5 is their menu is a bit odd when you order a breakfast sandwich and get chips as your side (a lot of heavy on top of heavy and not really a breakfast side and the sandwich comes with two filling waffles) and when you order a single waffle item such as I did (the Bacon Goat) it was DELICIOUS but needed just a little something more as I was still a bit hungry but a second waffle would have been too much. read more

Love this place, the food is AWESOME. I've been going here since this place opened just a few years ago, it's great! I just don't like the girl's working. I walked in and I didn't even get a simple "hello". In my opinion they were very bratty and I felt like I was being judged!!! I came this morning, I only got coffee, my sister on the other hand got a maple waffle and a smoothie. Everything IS a waffle! Bagel is really a waffle, English muffin is a waffle... be ready for waffles. Also powdered sugar gets sprinkled an almost everything, so keep an eye on that if you don't want it. The classic breakfast sandwich with eggs, bacon and cheese was delicious. The Nana Nut was a spin on the classic French crêpe banana Nutella flavor, and was fabulous. The Benedict sauce was loose and not quite on the mark but tasty all the same. Awesome deck seating and yard picnic tables in the grass with yard games. Awesome place to take kids with that element for them to bop around while you wait for your food. read more

The Iron Waffle is an adorable little place. The service was fast and friendly. The waffles may seem small but it was just right and delicious. It's not easy to find gluten free food that is also tasty, but they definitely hit the mark with their gluten free recipe! sadly, they were out of the creme brulee waffle that I truly wanted but I still enjoyed a delicious custom waffle with berries, chocolate, and whipped cream. My husband was overjoyed that they had a maple bacon waffle and truly enjoyed his meal. Wow my gluten free waffle breakfast sandwich to go was awesome normally gluten free things can be hard, thick and not that tasty but boy have they perfected it! My family ordered the nut and nana, the bacon goat and the maple bacon waffle and we were all extremely happy. The bacon goat had the right amount of tart from the goat cheese and sweet from the honey. This was also the second time we've gotten the nut and nana (once gluten free once not) and it's drool worthy. I'd recommend not getting the ice cream on it though since it cools the waffle off and I prefer mine warm. Maple bacon waffle was simple yet delicious as well. Great job Iron Waffle! read more

Just catching up on my last Nisswa area trip: Food was just OK at this place but staff is in need of a personailty transplant. No greeting on arrival and when someone finally got to our table there was no smile, "good morning," etc. It's a busy place and there seems to be, at least during my visit, a feeling that the place will succeed with or without friendly interaction with guests. I think of this place year-round. It's so dang good!! Food: You cannot go wrong with breakfast food - that's a fact. That being said, not all waffles are created equal. You'll get these things and they'll look small. Do not be deceived, they are DENSE. We're healthy eaters and I was worried I'd be hungry after only ordering one, but I was so so full! Service: It's a little slower, but for such a small outfit I'm not surprised and it's totally worth the wait. Definitely plan to get there before you're "hangry". Atmosphere: So so cute. This little out of the way shop is open for breakfast with limited seating inside and a few tables outside. Iron Waffle is a quaint little spot along Interlachen Road next to the Sherwood Forest restaurant. Their claim to fame is Liege waffles with creative toppings. (Ice cream, bacon, goat cheese etc.). People who've been to Bruges or had real Liege waffles know that they don't require any toppings at all. The pearl sugar in real Liege dough caramelizes on the iron to make a memorable taste treat. The waffles here have an off flavor that the toppings almost mask. I couldn't put my finger on the flavor but it was somewhere between washrag and old produce. Perhaps the yeasted dough was old or had spoiled on the day of my visit? Service is slow and quirky. I had the impression that the young women behind the counter would prefer to be served rather than provide service. The flow of the shop is uncomfortable. One must order and pay at a poorly located service counter and then find a place to stand while one waits for the food to be prepared. If it's not busy you might find an open table to sit and wait. Waffle connoisseurs will be wise to bring their own maple syrup as the grocery store maple flavored corn syrup on offer is just sad. Should you be tempted to order something with eggs, know that they are cooked in the microwave. Prices are not cheap but not crazy considering the uniqueness of the offerings. Coffee and tea are available but nothing special. If you are looking for something different for breakfast then this could be a place for you. read more

Great experience! Hubby and I stopped in, I'd read about them on Facebook and planned a trip around stopping here, wasn't disappointed! Adorable, cozy place! I had the waffle with goat cheese, bacon and honey and hubby had bacon and maple syrup. This is the first time we've had this heavy type waffle and really enjoyed the flavor and texture! Lots of goat cheese on mine, played so well with the bacon and honey! Service was great, super friendly. When we were leaving, I ordered a mocha to go and something happened and my cover popped off, I almost dropped it, splattered a bit on the floor....I felt bad about that, yet it took everything in me to talk her out of making me an entirely new one!
