Unless you know exactly what you want, and you can eat a ton, I would recommend going with the sample platter option. You get a ton of food, so don't worry, it's more than just a sample. You can always sample more. First of all, don't make the same mistake that I did. Do not get filled up on the bread or anything that they bring. You don't have to finish it all. Wait for the meats at the end. I can't go on to tell you which meat is the best, they were all phenomenal. It's going to be a choice of personal preference. We decided to get a nice bottle of wine, which was called Saint Felicien. It was a delicious small bag that paired beautifully with the meats. The ambience is incredible here. So lively, I could imagine what it would look like during a soccer game. People were all super friendly, and it just has a great vibe to it. The kind of food hall seems that you see in the movies where everyone's having a blast and talking to their family and laughing all about well enjoying great food. If you are going to Buenos Aires, this is a must see. Or should I say must eat lol it's gonna be one of my top recommendations to anyone that goes to Argentina. Hope to visit this place again.

The minute you walk inm you are welcomed by a friendly staff and led to a table, we chose upstairs and were quickly seated. Our waiter was friendly and jovial, and spoke great english. He recommended a Malbec, and then we ordered a bunch of food, which came quickly. As we dined, the placed filled up quickly, and looking around, there was not an empty table in the place- upstairs or down. The restaurnat has an Italian family feel, white table cloths and worn, but classy china. Plus the grill is amazing. Nothing seemed more authentic than the big parrilla (grill) that greets you when you enter or the fact that the place doesn't open for dinner until 8pm. A meal in this clean, somewhat industrial-looking space begins with empanadas and chimichurri arriving automatically at your table thanks to the small "cubierto" (per person cover fee, not a tip, of about $2.50 per person). Given the late dining hour I resisted over-ordering, knowing that I didn't want to go to sleep stuffed to the brim. Rib-eye was my choice, along with wine and beer, with the whole thing coming in at a pre-tip price of $90,100ARS (about $63USD). It was a perfect meal that still filled me succinctly and as I left I couldn't help but feel for all those still waiting to enter the restaurant at around 10 p.m. Parrilla Peña proved to be a great and authentic choice for a solid parrilla experience. Crowded together tables, a few outside, service friendly but random. Now, I had planned this to be about steaks. But, checking online, as I am wont to do at times, everyone... everyone... raves about their barbecued ribs. And, I saw ribs as the daily special. Didn't think to get into the details. Turned out to be two pork rib chops off the grill, with a little lemon. Cooked right - maybe a minute passed my personal preference, but not dry. No seasoning, but, salt on the table and lemon wedges fixed that. Good mashed potatoes, nicely seasoned and a reasonable amount of butter. Not the meal I'd hoped for, but not bad at all - especially for the daily special price of 250 pesos, including beverage - even with tip we're talking a mere $4.50. I get out to Santa Rita every couple of months, so, a revisit for the BBQ ribs in the offing.
