I would also like to clarify the statement regarding my insurance. I was very clearly informed that I was waiting due to a clean room, not because of insurance-related issues. Referencing my insurance instead of acknowledging this miscommunication further demonstrates a lack of accountability. Additionally, mentioning having a biracial child does not negate or invalidate my experience. While representation and inclusivity are important, that statement raised additional concern, as it does not address the issue at hand and should not be used as a defense against a patient's lived experience. I went back a year later and they changed for the better! The receptionist was very friendly and the same one I've dealt with the last 3 times (including today) that I've been there. Today, the ER was PACKED! She said I may have to wait for a while, but I was fine with that. 2 MINUTES I GOT A ROOM! I was cared for IMMEDIATELY! The nurse was very thorough, friendly, and caring to me. I waited maybe 10 minutes, if that, before Dr. Hamby came in to see me. AMAZING DOCTOR! He examined me and knew IMMEDIATELY what I need to help me. He explained what he was prescribing and how I should take it. He said he hoped I got to feeling better soon. I waited maybe another 10 minutes before the same nurse came in to discharge me. She went over my paperwork and explained again to me about the eye drops I was prescribed. EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT NURSE! I signed the papers and was released. She made it a point to tell me as I was walking out of the room that she hoped I got to feeling better soon and to come back any time I needed them. I was checked in, in a room, thoroughly examined, and out of there in about 25 minutes all together in a PACKED ER! That's UNHEARD OF! Very clean and relaxed waiting room and facility. Every staff member who wasn't busy with another patient made it a point to tell me goodbye and they hoped I would feel better. GREATEST MEDICAL EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD!!! I'd totally recommend people who live in the Nashville area that if you are able to make the drive to Sevier County, then do it! WAY better experience than you'll have a HMH! This didn't stop the therapist from making her immobile on the table due to the towels and causing her to freak. I was on my back for at least an hour and have had back problems ever since because of this "massage". My cousin also had fresh tattoos that she didn't want touched, regardless our therapist slathered the tattoos with salts which has caused problems. At least my cousin and I bonded from our trauma that this massage caused. The cherry on top? Having to water board ourselves in the shower after to get that freakin butter out. We weren't even warned, but hey the free towel and the mediocre desserts were worth it. Also be warned that the house looks like Mrs. Clause from hell threw up on it. Why was there a Christmas tree up in July? Some people call it "quaint" I call it horrifying.
