They brag about customer service but pretty much none exist. I'm locked out 70% of the time I go. I have to spend 20-30 minutes each time with the secondary lock company to try to get in. That's if they are open. After 9pm or before 7am, forget it. They start begging for payment 10 days before it's due. But lock you out after the 1st of the month and will take your stuff after 15 days per Missouri law. How do I know that, they straight up told me that. The locks are electronic so you have no control over when you can access your unit. If their app messes up or their system messes up, you can't get in. Which, is pretty common, more than 50% of the time. Rent somewhere where you can put your own padlock on the door so you have control of your stuff.

Simply by visiting the office, you'll notice nine cameras are visible to the employee operating the desk (Paul Boles) on a monitor at all times. I appreciate knowing that my belongings are secured first by the premises being monitored by staff. Further, the fencing around the facility are tall, discouraging unauthorized individuals from entering. Finally, the facility is gated with a code that only tenants and staff have access to. I primarily chose my storage unit facility based on the security features, and Countryside Self Storage far outweighed the others I assessed. This particular storage facility was also close to my home, making trips back and forth incredibly easy for me! I also felt that the price of the unit I leased was more than reasonable: $49/mo. for a 5x10 unit. I am incredibly happy with this price, especially considering the extensive security of this storage facility. Finally, the customer service I received from Paul Boles was above and beyond. I was able to walk into the office and obtain a storage unit within thirty minutes--and Paul was more than professional, relatable, and simply enjoyable to talk to at all times. I would recommend Countryside Self Storage far beyond any other facility in Joplin, hands down.

I verified all my contact information early on with them; physical address, email, phone #. They stated that mail, email and texts were sent, yet I never received any. Yes, spam folders were checked. When I moved out, the only way I could get someone to speak to me was to call to inquire about a unit. I would not recommend them ever. I found a unit twice the size a mile closer to my home that costs less than what I was paying them. Security is slipshod. Anyone can drive in behind you and leave by just pushing a button. Even moving in was bad. The unit was locked and no one was available to remove the lock when I was told I could move in.

The lock the company provides was cut and ALL his stuff was stolen. A unit a few away from his was cut as well. They have CCTV, locked gate and a lock on the unit. Lot of good that did. But they have a dumpster on site that nobody is allowed to use except for the property manager ( which is ridiculous ) people with units can't even throw anything away from their units on the property. If you leave anything next to their locked dumpster they threatened to have you evicted from your unit ( that's not right )! Plus each year the cost of the rental unit goes up - started off as $72 a month and now it's $124 a month.
