I recently scheduled a work event there and I was worried due to several of the negative comments that I have read. Many of them old before new management took over. However, I must say, it was an excellent experience. Debbie, the organizer of the group events, was outstanding. Everything went so smooth. She worked with me on everything I needed for my group. The pizzas were good, the chicken tenders were GREAT. The service all around was fantastic. The place itself was very clean. I would highly recommend going there and/or scheduling a function there. Great family run business who put their customers first. We've been here many times for birthday parties and a few times just to bowl. The kids like the food and the small arcade there. New management does not care about customers. Very poorly ran, constant broken lanes. You are better off going somewhere else.

My family called ahead a week in advance for information about when the alley was open to the public. We had to call several times because the information we received was conflicting and changed every time we called. When we finally went to the alley, we were treated very poorly. We feel this may be because we are minorities. The owner was rude to us and made us feel unwelcome from the start. We were told there would be a wait of over an hour because other groups were ahead of us on the waitlist. While we waited, a few lanes became available, but none of the alleged groups that were ahead of us were present or placed in those lanes. When we asked about why none of the groups ahead of us had been given those lanes, we received various excuses that did not make sense. Finally, we decided to leave. When we were preparing to leave, suddenly new lanes became available. While most of our group stayed, as we had already waited for over an hour, some of us left. Those that stayed experienced technical difficulties that were not fixed for 20 minutes despite multiple people asking for the problems to be fixed. Additionally, we were blamed for causing the problems! Later, when we looked up reviews for this place, we found that similar technical problems have occurred for other customers. So it appears that they are aware of these problems but chose to blame the customers for them instead of fixing them. Overall, terrible customer service and a subpar bowling experience. read more

My husband and I decided to give Lokay Lanes another try.This turned out to be a big mistake. Yes, the ladies room was remodeled and looking good, but that does not off set the fact that all three of our bowling balls were damaged. We left our balls there along with our contact information, but heard nothing. So now it's been 3 weeks and 6 calls (had to leave messages each time).We retrieved our balls yesterday. I guess it will be up to us to figure out how to get them repaired. Just know -THEY DON'T CARE. Wish I could give zero stars read more

If you are looking for a throw back bowling alley this is it. They have updated touch screen computers but the rest of the place is still in the 90s. My husband and I had an amazing time. We are not competitive bowlers so there might be some things we didn't notice but the place was clean and the staff made us feel welcome. read more

Had a great time celebrating my girls' birthday parties today at Lokay Lanes! The staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Food and drinks were included with the party cost, and a table for food as well as another for presents were already set up with birthday table cloths. Went here for a birthday party and the manager didn't do to well. She brought us out black burned pizza, didn't start setting up until we arrived, and wasn't the most polite. The lady who came in afterwards was so sweet. She gave us free pizza because the others were burnt and made sure everything went well. She felt bad how the manager went about the party. Otherwise was a great experience but they definitely need new management. read more

Lokay is basically your standard bowling alley. It was fairly clean and decently bright. They have a variety of balls available at the lanes and of course shoes you can rent. Shoes are $2 and each game of bowling is $3.75. You can have a fairly inexpensive night or afternoon out. Especially if you take advantage of the check in offer or have your own shoes. They also participate in Kids Bowl Free, so for every registered child you get two free games every day all summer. Our family enjoyed two games each and shoe rentals for the kids for under $20. The down sides are that they are apparently in the process of renovating, so there are some strange thinks (like a bucket and plastic hanging from the ceiling). They also are trying to be tech savvy with the lane computers, but we had some issues with ours. It was supposed to be able to log into Facebook and that never really worked, nor did the messaging between lanes. They have a variety of league options (even a parent and child one!). But because of the leagues you might want to call ahead to make sure there are open lanes. Overall, a fun place that will probably be even better once they finish their renovations. read more

*Update: very disappointed in the food staff. Wings missing from order, wrong sauces, did not tell us which sauces were extra and which were included in price. Hubby and I both tipped on separate orders that same night and it made no difference! We had to get our own food and throw stuff away. No one else ordered any food that night so it wasn't like the server was swamped... If I ever go here again in the future, we're stopping at a Sheetz first and bringing all the food there! Website is useless and/or non-existent. The one time that it did load, it had NO information. You have to call to get hours, specials and pricing. You could have the simplest website in the world--just include those pieces of info and you won't have to force us to call and take time out of your day. Yeesh! Hubby and I went on Saturday night for their cosmic bowling. I'll save you a call by giving you the info needed: 11pm - 2am $13 per person including shoe rental. Not bad for playing 9 that night. The lane area is very cramped and if they were all filled, I would most definitely be bumping into people that night. We ordered some food there and it was really dry for fried food. The bar was super smoky which was gross because there was no ventilation. We might go again but I'm hoping one day that Miracle Lanes will host cosmic bowling so we won't have to go here. read more

Justin, we only interacted with your staff regarding your broken lanes. The staff offered your number after informing us about the Groupon which says the monetary value will still be honored after expiration as anyone who has used Groupon knows. My whole group had to each walk to the other end of the place to find a single ball that wasn't busted. The scores were messed up because the lanes would either not rack all the pins at the beginning of someone's turn, re-rack ALL of the pins on someone's second half of their turn, or just get completely stuck no matter what we did on the computer to fix it. This was every turn and we didn't say anything until half way through our game. This wasted so much time until we had to ask for a new lane. The music was all hip hop and rap from the 2000s that were bangers in the club back then and still completely inappropriate for the small children who were having a birthday party. The group next to us could not stop laughing at that fact. It wasn't just us! Plus, the patron at the bar was commenting on how the new owners made everything more expensive. It was not just our group. The fact you would try to attack my honest review by calling us rude just shows your poor business skills as well. read more

Poor customer service! Very rude manager & employee! Called ahead for information several times and received different information every time. Was told they don't take reservations. Made us wait for an hour when many lanes were open. Manager claimed 4 groups were ahead of us, but no one else was around the whole time we were there. My husband and I and another couple decided to go bowling and I found a special on Lokay Lane's website: http://www.lokaylanes.co... It was supposed to include two hours of unlimited bowling for up to 5 people, a large pizza, and shoe rental....all for $30. As you can see the website says Everyday Special. Well when we got there, we were told by "the manager" this special is not valid on Fridays and Saturdays. After I stated that this was on the website, he said "Yeah well our website hasn't been updated in 4 or 5 months". He also told us that another group of people questioned the special. Well, aren't you supposed to honor the special if it's posted and says Everyday?! A poster with this same "special" was in the men's bathroom, according to my husband. Well we were already there and chose to make the best of it. We decided to take our time and play, since we were paying for the game, not by the hour. For the four of us to play 3 games, shoe rental, and a large pizza ended up coming to $58, almost double what was posted. On top of this, the lady's bathroom was disgusting....someone went #2 and didn't flush in one of the two bathrooms. There was one guy and one girl working there and not once did they go in to the bathrooms to check and see if they were clean, needed tp, etc. Lastly, they played the same 4 music videos over and over again on the tv's next to our bowling screen. Annoying. I attempted to call and complain the next day. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told "Well I am the closest thing to a manager there is here". I then asked if I could get in contact with one of the owners. I was told that the owner is out of town 28 days a month and only stops in once a month to check on the place. So not sure what my next step should be....but I would like a refund. I would like to add that I was recently contacted by one of the owners through Yelp regarding my unfortunate experience. He was very appeasing and offered to send me free coupons for bowling, shoe rental, food and drinks. I was informed there would be new management. I was also informed that they will be remodeling in September...so a nice new atmosphere may help. Although it was almost two months after my initial review (which was filtered), better late than never! Just to update: I did receive a coupon for free bowling for up to 10 people (2 lanes), which also included shoe rental, 1 large pizza, and 1 pitcher of pop. My husband and I and the same couple returned last weekend, after calling in advance to make reservations, per the coupon. I have to say that there wasn't much done in the way of remodeling, no new tables or carpeting, or bar area. However, there were new tv's and touch screens, which were very nice. There were a few minor flaws (still tried charging us for shoe rental, pizza was not good, bathrooms still yucky) but overall the experience was okay and I would return again for a night out. read more

I'm giving this place One Star! We had a groupon for bowling, shoes and pizza. I called ahead the first try. "Yes they have open lanes and will be open through the evening", I was told. Got there and couldn't use the groupon because they were having a party in about 2 hours. We had dropped my son and two children off and left to go to the mall. My son explained that we called, etc. and there was NO mention of a party. The kids were "allowed" to bowl for an hour. But couldn't use the Groupon and he had to pay. It happened again three weeks later. Was told they had open lanes all night on the phone.....I was given the hardest time trying to get them to acknowledge the coupon! "No lanes were open"! Ha! 4 lanes were wide open! They ended giving us a lane that didn't work when keeping score! The kids just wanted to bowl and thought the mixed up scoring was funny! To top the night off, we used the restroom. No toilet paper anywhere or paper towels. Never again LOKAY. There are soooo many other nicer places to go. read more

My daughter recently attended a birthday party for a classmate at Lokay Lanes. This place is spectacular. It was really cool that the birthday girls face was up on the screen the whole time and that Saturday morning cartoons were also playing for the kids. My daughter loved it. They have touch screens on the lanes and my daughter spent half the party texting her friends on other lanes. I didn't even know you could do something like that at a bowling alley! The kids really seemed to enjoy it. Plus, they got to play really neat games besides just regular bowling. One allowed them to build different people depending on how many pins they knocked down. read more
