It really puts the meaning into OHANA :) My Little Sister (Big Brother, Big Sister) was graduating from elementary to middle school and it was really lively, entertaining, and very touching. From ukelele groups to electric guitar, traditional Hawaiian songs to modern ballads, graceful hula and meaningful speeches, it really was inclusive, very happy and the bond between teachers and students was obvious. Probably because this is a small eclectic school and classes are very small allowing time for every child. Plus parents are a big part of their child's education with home schooling built into the curriculum. Before graduation each grade presented something to their peers, families and teachers in their classrooms, and 5th graders did an individual speech on topics such as Robotics and AI, CPR and Music, Recycling and Growing native plants, etc. Every student was amazing and I give a big cheer to those who found public speaking daunting (I don't like it either!), as they overcame their fear and gave remarkable speeches. Since my Little Sister started attending this school (her previous school burned down in the tragic Lahaina fire) her reading and writing have improved dramatically and she is making videos and writing books using special software on a laptop, making lithographs and exploring art concepts, playing the electric guitar, taking extracurricular self defense classes, and thriving! After attending her graduation ceremony I can see why! The school is part of a chain across the Hawaiian Islands and the Kapalua school will be moving to a new purposely built school in Lahaina hopefully by 2027, with special science labs, a makerspace, outdoor areas and bigger enclosed classrooms. They have come a long way from teaching in tents straight after the fire, to an old restaurant premises, to a newly built school. I'm very impressed with this school, I wish my daughter had the chance to attend this type of tech academy when she was growing up. I'm so glad my Little Sister has the chance :)

It is like a little city, built for 3-5 yr olds. It's nice to know how much "safe freedom" my child gets throughout the day. It is hard for me to let go and not try to control my child, so the atmosphere at Iao Preschool provides a nice balance to our child's life. They are always supervised durin. The day, however there exists plenty of time for self -exploration am decision making. They provide two meals and an afternoon snack and are open from 7am-5pm Monday-Friday. There is a reason why enrollment fills up the same day it opens. This place is a gem and will recommend it forever! Thank you Aunty Flay and staff!

The teachers are intelligent, compassionate, and loving beyond belief. They are sometimes overloaded with many more children than they should have, and yet these teachers rise above everything and shine. Yet often the numbers are perfect and everyone always gets the attention they need, regardless of the degree of challenge to the tireless teachers. I am a substitute teacher and I stand in total honor of the daily educators here. Patient, fair, loving, and real. I can't recommended Pukalani school enough. We are so grateful to have been part of this community!

This is such an awesome program. A free preschool for for infants to toddlers. They operate two…read moredays a week and coordinate field trips. They sing and teach the kids so much in such a short time frame. It is such a blessing for my child to take part in this well organized and educational program for free. She is learning to interact with others, developing cognitive and her motor skills. We hope this program continues for years so that many other children may experience the educational support and love from Tutu and Me.

The classes are extremely organized and clean and there's ample parking.

Baldwin Theatre Guild/Baldwin Performing Arts Learning Center…read more THE ADAMS FAMILY - MUSICAL I took my Little Sister (BBBS) with me as she is attending acting classes during the vacation breaks and I wanted her to see a big production to show her what hard work can create. This musical knocked it out of the park! Excellent casting, musical score, props and wardrobe, lighting, it all just ran smoothly and created a magical night. Well done to everyone who worked on it. I love The Adams Family and hadn't realized there was a musical version, and it had quite a few laugh lines scattered throughout to keep you amused too. I was surprised there wasn't a bigger audience....I go to school plays on island when I can and am always amazed at how polished and professional they are, and a great night out for a cheap ticket! I paid $13 for an adult and $5 for an 11 year old. Much cheaper than the movies.
