I worked with Elizabeth for several weeks and learned so much about tailoring my job search, networking, and how to apply for positions I was interested in. TTC teaches you how to turn your job search into a job in and of itself, but it's a job that becomes effective (unlike the months of searching on my own). I'm pleased to report that I received a nice job offer after beating out 4 other candidates who had already been in the final stages of the interview process by the time I submitted my resume. After a whirlwind interview process I received a job offer in just over 24 hours from my first of five interviews. I know that I have Turning the Corner to credit for this success as it was my resume that got me in the door so late in the game and the skills from the webinars that helped me perform well at the interviews.

His clear and incisive…read morequestions and reflections helped me tap my own deep inner knowing and confidence and get "unstuck" from a project I had been sitting on for over two years. We had four sessions, and I'm planning on continuing with him since what I was able to accomplish in just over a month surprised both of us! One of the insights I gained working with him was that being in action with my primary vision is itself motivating and confidence-building. Doing nothing just kept me spinning in fear and doubt. But getting content out there, noticing how people responded positively, and feeling the gratification of producing something worthwhile - from my heart and soul - was a big boost to my energy and motivation. Now I'm actually inspired to create mediocre work! LOL, I know that's the secret to overcoming perfectionism and procrastination, recognizing that iterating with refinements over what began as mediocre promises to get closer and closer to greatness. I'm deeply grateful for Sasha's support and I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to change their life.

Sasha was very easy to talk to, and he gave me small achievable goals. After the first session, I was more effectively managing one corner of my life. Sasha continued to help me explore what was getting in my way, suggested ways to address my focus issues, and gave me goals to help me move forward. After five sessions I was working steadily on three big personal projects, one of which I had only intermittently been tackling, and two of which I had procrastinated on for nearly a year. Not only am I accomplishing more, I feel I'm getting more control over my life, and as a byproduct I'm developing a more positive outlook about myself and what I can accomplish.

Amy gave me the confidence I needed to dive into the job hunt. The main reason I chose Amy was because of her approach to coaching where she focused on strengths, values and positivity. What I loved the most about working with her was that her recommendations were always based on who I am as a person. She spent a lot of time getting to know me, which helped the both of us become grounded in who I am. She listened to me with energy and without judgement. Although she was technically my "career coach", she organically gave thoughtful advice that helped guide my new life, which I didn't realize I needed until these sessions. When I felt bad about not prioritizing my job search, she encouraged me to take the time I needed to build healthy habits that would stick with me for the rest of my life (meditation, running, yoga). After moving across the country without a secure job and without my family around for emotional support, Amy was really the first person to tell me that I should be confident in the skills I had going into my new life here in Colorado. Above all, she showed me how I can lean into my personal strengths, by helping me see how even my softest skills can be used to make me stand out in the work place. As someone fresh into their career, it was incredibly helpful for me to learn how to tailor my experience & personal strengths to fit the job requirements in even an unrelated field. When there were long periods of time in between sessions and I'd feel unsure again about my decision to quit my job in NYC and move to Denver, I'd meet with Amy and she'd remind me that I am more than capable of making this work. I loved my time working with Amy and feel grateful for the confidence she gave me to succeed!

When I first met Amy she assured me that it was naturally and we began to work on what my personal strengths are and applying those to my job search. I have complicated crypto taxes and did my best to communicate this from the start, including a 45-minute call with Steve specifically about my crypto taxes before my 2024 return was filed. I made clear that the documents I sent, including a Schedule 1, were generated by my crypto tax software. In 2025, I discovered that the Schedule 1 income I provided had been left off my 2024 return. Steve never asked me what it was, never requested supporting documentation, and never told me he was omitting it. He simply left it off silently. When I raised it, he claimed he hadn't known I had complicated crypto taxes, which I believe is false and I have messages with the firm showing we discussed it. He also declined to prepare my 2025 return due to the crypto complexity, leaving me to find a new preparer on short notice. When I requested a refund of my 2024 prep fee, he refused unless I provided evidence of the income's source. While compiling that, I found that a mistake in my tax software had overstated the figure, and that the corrected amount was lower. I decided the refund wasn't worth pursuing, and I'm having the amendment handled by another firm. Steve was right to question the number. But the professional response was to ask for documentation before filing, not to silently drop income off a return without a word to the client. At no point did he acknowledge any mistake or take any accountability. In my opinion, that handling was not what a client should expect from a tax preparer, and based on my experience, I can't recommend them.
