The owners of the store radiate warmth and offer explanations on any of their products with pride and enthusiasm. Kudos to them for the layout that has a nice hypnotizing effect of being in a candy fantasy land. Many of the candies are imported, mainly from Europe. The ice-cream bites are homemade and delicious. What a treat for the kids who can go two floors up to visit Barbie Expo, a must see free event.

He gave me a beautiful Halloween loot bag. The store is packed with every type of candy you can thick of. You name it he has it. Along with the candy he had a nice selection of ice cream bites but did not try it. We took a nice selection of mixed candy home and when we ate them they were super fresh. Unfortunately when i went, I was informed that they have not had Stillwells for over a year. They have instead a mass produced variety. Still, not a problem as I suddenly found many other candies and sweets that I can remember from my youth or from my grandmother passing onto me. Glad to know that it is also just a 5 minute drive from my place - I will certainly be back.

Fromagerie Mirabel has less selection compared to other specialty cheese stores I've found in the Montreal area, such as "Fromagerie des nations". To be honest, even some of the nicer IGA or Provigo supermarkets carry a wider selection of cheeses. Go if you want fresh St-Albert's cheese, otherwise this shop might be disappointing, especially if you drove out of the way to visit.

I have tried them all and I would say that maple and strawberries are a bit too sweet for me. But they are a great change when you have taken the Belgium milk chocolate forever. I think they have around 10 chocolate dips. I am sure there is one to suit your fancy.

I haven't been to their store in Laval, but I've had their candies…read more I like that some of their candies have ingredients like blackcurrant juice concentrate, tomato juice concentrate, pumpkin juice concentrate, apple juice concentrate and carrot juice concentrate. It makes me feel just a smidge less guilty about eating junk food, lol. Despite all the above ingredients I listed, these candies are by no means "natural, health food store gummies." They contain artificial colours and flavours and preservatives, like all the other mainstream run-of-the-mill gummies. They're pretty tasty though. I like the variety packs as they have different types all mixed together. The Sweet Sixteen Jujube and Gummy Mix has gummies of different shapes and sizes and textures. I love variety so I loved this mix. The only thing that would have made it better is the inclusion of sour gummies, like the Sour Patch Kids type. Actually, I think they might have a mix like that. Gonna have to check. Anyway, I like their candies. And I like that they are a Canadian company :)

I think their model is to buy award winning game in bulk to sell them at competitive prices. No obscure-game-you-never-heard-of. Catan, Carcassonne, Code name and more. Oh, they had Catan Star Trek and Harry Potter Code Name.
