Here we go: Entrée: Monster Munch, Salt and Vinegar Discos, Squares Crisps, Spicy Nik-Naks, Wheat Crunchies. (NEXT!) Main Course: Paxo Stuffing, Colmans Mustard, Pot Noodle, Mushy Peas, Sandwich Spread washed down with Lilt and Vimto....(cor! ) Dessert: Blackcurrant and Liquorice, Polos, Fruit Salads, Black Jacks, Lemon Sherberts, Wispa, Double Decker, Lion Bar, Revels. (Belch!) Petit Fours: After Eight Mints (Groan...). If you were born in the Mother Land and have sugar issues, this is your place. Either show discipline and turn up with $10 in coins and pretend you're enjoying a slightly inflated re-inaction of your visit to the corner shop as a kid OR take the credit card and buy a three figured amount of calorific nostalgia and promise yourself you won't eat it all in a week. If you're a fish crisp connoisseur then this is the place for you: Walkers Prawn Cocktail, Skips or Scampi Fries (which actually smell like Gents toilets but taste great!). You can buy online too!

Screw your markets and bazaars with their aromas of herbs and spices, nothing awakens the senses like the playful crinkle of a monster munch packet or the shine in your eye when the sun catches off the packaging of a Capri Sun (The only place I have found in Australia that stocks them FYI). Expect a friendly greeting from the Welsh lady who's on the counter and get lost in the selection of stuff you'd forgotten you'd missed. Apart from Taste Ireland, which I have also reviewed there is nowhere that I have come across that has as much selection as these guys. While it is mostly sweets and confectionery there is a huge selection of grocery items available too. You name it they pretty much have it. from washing up liquids, to powders, sauces, stuffing, cordials, soft drinks and football merchandise as well. The selection is absolutely massive. if you're missing home and some of your favorite grub pop in and see these guys. It'll be money and time well spent. If you can't make it into the city, they do online ordering too.

If you're homesick and need to get your hands on a packet of Wether's Originals, Mint Humbugs or Licquorice Allsorts, this is the place to go. It's stacked wall-to-ceiling with jars and packets of British sweets. For the non-British people, this is also worth a visit, for a true taste of Britain. Of course, you pay a handsome sum for the chance to eat proper British food (including Marmite), but in my book, it's worth every penny.

I got a little confused when I passed the store and there was a street blackboard sign saying…read more'Black Pudding, White Pudding and Bacon Back in store' when the shop was called 'British Sweets & Treats'. Then I realised it'd fit in the category of 'treats'. At least for those that call England, Ireland or Scotland home. You'll find this little store in a nook within the Bronka Arcade, off Oxford Street Mall. Countless amounts of sweets filled the store...it lives up to the first half of the name. I tried a packet of the Rhubarb and Custard. Turned out it was the bestseller. No wonder, the taste exploded flavours of custardy rhubarb in my mouth. Amongst it all, they also sell products from USA like Poptarts and Big Red Cinnamon Chewing Gum as well as from New Zealand like the Pascall Pineapple Lumps. If you haven't been to the northern hemisphere as yet, this is a little taste of what treats they have to offer.
