Instead of handling the situation with kindness or understanding, a staff member made us clean it up ourselves. My sister was wearing a dress, and they still insisted she pick it up. To make matters worse, they made my young sister walk outside to throw the trash away herself. Accidents happen, and this could have been handled with basic courtesy and professionalism. Instead, the managers and staff came across as rude, unwelcoming, and lacking any sense of customer service. We left feeling embarrassed and disrespected. Unfortunately, because of how we were treated, we will not be returning. There are plenty of places in Galveston that treat their customers with much more kindness and respect.

My family and I have never felt more uncomfortable in a store than we have in this one. The…read morebrunette lady working there was being really pushy trying to aggressively sell another family when they were trying on shoes and even when the older lady told her she didn't like the shoes she wouldn't let it go and kept trying to sell her on them. It came off very unprofessional. Then she kept walking past us asking us questions and it came off like she thought we were shoplifting. My niece tried on a swimsuit but didn't want it so my sister put it back on a shelf and we left. The energy in the store felt heavy because of how the brunette was acting so we didn't even keep looking and decided to leave. An hour later we are walking out of another store and here comes this brunette lady running across the store yelling at us making a big scene in front of all of these people asking where we put the swimsuit and so my sister had to follow her across the street back into the store to show her where she put the swimsuit. I have shopped at Ha.ba's for gifts and accessories, but was pleasantly surprised to find that they carry some plus size options. I've purchased a couple of dresses and tops that are in regular rotation. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and always helps me find just the right thing. In addition to being a great shop, they also do a great job highlighting local artists during art walk. I've gotten some of the cutest personalized bracelets to art pieces.
